Erythrina is a significant source of phytoconstituents. The aim of this review is to solicitude of classification, synthesis, and phytochemicals with biological activities of Erythrina. In our previous review on this genus (Hussain et. al., 2016a) fifteen species (Erythrina addisoniae, E. caribeae, E. indica, E. lattisima, E. melanacantha, E. mildbraedii, E. poeppigiama, E. stricta, E. subumbrans, E. veriagata, E. vespertilio, E. velutina, E. zeberi, E. zeyheri and E. americana) have been studied and 155 molecules with chemical structures were reported. A further comprehensive review was done upon continuation on the same genus and thirteen species (E. abyssinica, E. arborescens, E. berteroana, E. burttii, E. caffra, E. coralloids, E. crista-galli, E. fusca, E. herbaceae, E. lysistemon, E. mulungu, E. speciosa and E. tahitensis) of Erythrina have been studied and 127 compounds are reported as phytoconstituents with their chemical structure in this review. Erythrina crista-galli and E. lysistemon consist of highest number of chemical constituents. Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Journal 23(1): 65-77, 2020

AbstractPostoperative pancreatic fistulas are complex, challenging problems that often take weeks, months, or longer to resolve. Multiple interventions may be required to achieve a successful outcome. As such, resolution typically involves a multidisciplinary approach by a team whose skills include abdominal imaging, specialized surgery, advanced endoscopy, and interventional radiology. Intensive resources and time are often required, which impacts both patients and their caregivers. While treatment(s) continue to improve, a primary goal of research efforts in this area is the prevention of this significant source of postoperative morbidity, mortality, and economic strain.

About one-third of custodial mothers choose not to pursue a child support award even though it can be a significant source of income. A qualitative study was conducted with 43 mothers who have each had at least one child in a nonmarital relationship, to learn more about how mothers make the decision to file or not file for child support. The findings indicate that a key determinant in a mother's decision is the quality of her relationship with the father: a mother is less likely to file when the relationship is good and more likely to file when the relationship is poor or has ended. Other key determinants are family influence and availability of information about filing. Visitation was not found to influence these decisions. Unfortunately, mothers are often making their decisions without access to accurate and timely information. Social workers frequently are employed in settings that serve families faced with decisions about child support, and have numerous opportunities for intervention by providing both information and guidance about the decision.

This paper discusses the benefits of using on-board hand brake sensors to determine whether a freight car hand brake is applied or released in service. Unreleased hand brakes are a significant source of wheel tread damage, which can lead to wheel removals, and in extreme cases can cause damage and derailments. Also, hand brake-related accidents are a significant cause of North American railroad accidents. Wheel tread damage and wayside wheel impact load detectors (WILD) are reviewed, along with AAR why made codes for wheel removals. Wheel failures and other wheel impact associated damage are discussed, along with operational considerations for hand brakes. Further, on-board sensors in general, and hand brake sensors in particular, are described in detail and service data from monitored cars is presented. Additionally, possible safety and operational improvements related to use of hand brake sensors are discussed, along with comments on the use of sensors to assist with proactive maintenance of freight cars.
