Our object of study is a rational map defined by homogeneous forms $g_{1},\ldots ,g_{n}$, of the same degree $d$, in the homogeneous coordinate ring $R=k[x_{1},\ldots ,x_{s}]$ of $\mathbb{P}_{k}^{s-1}$. Our goal is to relate properties of $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F9}$, of the homogeneous coordinate ring $A=k[g_{1},\ldots ,g_{n}]$ of the variety parameterized by $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F9}$, and of the Rees algebra ${\mathcal{R}}(I)$, the bihomogeneous coordinate ring of the graph of $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F9}$. For a regular map $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F9}$, for instance, we prove that ${\mathcal{R}}(I)$ satisfies Serre’s condition $R_{i}$, for some $i>0$, if and only if $A$ satisfies $R_{i-1}$ and $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F9}$ is birational onto its image. Thus, in particular, $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6F9}$ is birational onto its image if and only if ${\mathcal{R}}(I)$ satisfies $R_{1}$. Either condition has implications for the shape of the core, namely, $\text{core}(I)$ is the multiplier ideal of $I^{s}$ and $\text{core}(I)=(x_{1},\ldots ,x_{s})^{sd-s+1}.$ Conversely, for $s=2$, either equality for the core implies birationality. In addition, by means of the generalized rows of the syzygy matrix of $g_{1},\ldots ,g_{n}$, we give an explicit method to reduce the nonbirational case to the birational one when $s=2$.

Abstract There are plenty of issues to be solved in order for researchers to agree on a neural model of consciousness. Here we emphasize an often under-represented aspect in the debate: time consciousness. Consciousness and the present moment both extend in time. Experience flows through a succession of moments and progresses from future predictions, to present experiences, to past memories. However, a brief review finds that many dominant theories of consciousness only refer to brief, static, and discrete “functional moments” of time. Very few refer to more extended, dynamic, and continuous time, which is associated with conscious experience (cf. the “experienced moment”). This confusion between short and discrete versus long and continuous is, we argue, one of the core issues in theories of consciousness. Given the lack of work dedicated to time consciousness, its study could test novel predictions of rival theories of consciousness. It may be that different theories of consciousness are compatible/complementary if the different aspects of time are taken into account. Or, if it turns out that no existing theory can fully accommodate time consciousness, then perhaps it has something new to add. Regardless of outcome, the crucial step is to make subjective time a central object of study.

- This paper deals with analytical and methodological problems which are currently at the core of historical studies about European integration. It also reminds that history of European integration went through different periods which fostered various thematic conceptualizations. Indeed, the "essence" of the European construction, as a diachronic and in fieri process, furthered a renew of the object of study, gradually widening its importance, enriching and renewing historiographical interpretations. The definition of research lines about origins and development of EEC/EU policies, in particular those "second generation" policies promoted since the beginning of the Seventies, is placed in a complex historiographical background. The author shows the reasons to study this topic through a diachronic approach, highlighting that policies are fundamental to understand properly many relevant political and social dynamics at national, infranational, European and also international level.Parole chiave: Integrazione europea; storiografia integrazione europea; identitŕ europea; politiche comunitarie; istituzioni europee; governance multilivel European Integration; European Integration Historiography; European Identity; EEC/EU policies; European Institutions; Multilevel Governance

Let f0, f1, f2, f3 be linearly independent homogeneous quadratic forms in the standard ℤ-graded ring R:= 𝕂[s,t,u], and gcd (f0,f1,f2,f3)=1. This defines a rational map φ: ℙ2→ ℙ3. The Rees algebra Rees (I)=R ⊕ I ⊕ I2⊕ ⋯ of the ideal I= 〈f0,f1,f2,f3〉 is the graded R-algebra which can be described as the image of an R-algebra homomorphism h: R[x,y,z,w] → Rees (I). This paper discusses the free resolutions of I, and the structure of ker (h).

Let f0, f1, f2, f3 be linearly independent nonzero homogeneous polynomials in the standard ℤ-graded ring R ≔ 𝕂[s, t, u] of the same degree d, and gcd (f0, f1, f2, f3) = 1. This defines a rational map ℙ2 → ℙ3. The Rees algebra Rees (I) = R ⊕ I ⊕ I2 ⊕ ⋯ of the ideal I = 〈f0, f1, f2, f3〉 is the graded R-algebra which can be described as the image of the R-algebra homomorphism h: R[x, y, z, w ] → Rees (I). This paper discusses one result concerning the structure of the kernel of the map h when I is a saturated local complete intersection ideal with V(I) ≠ ∅ and μ-basis of degrees (1,1,d - 2).

This paper takes decorticator's core part (Illustration of roller and shutter equipment) as the object of study, through analyzing the principle of the gingko decorticator for peeling off the shell, and choosing the roller's material and its superficial shape, we calculate the action of gingko’s entrance to the gap between roller and shutter, and elaborate the two influences on the effect of peeling off the shell, the gap between roller and shutter and the speed of peeling. The decorticator which makes through this research may achieve good results that the husking yield is bigger than 85%, percentages of damage is smaller than 10%, the broken kernel rate is smaller than 7%. And it provides the theory basis for the improvement design and use of the next generation installment for peeling the shell.

Multiple theories and models that examine different aspects of corporate growth can be systematized on the basis of the methodology of paradigms. For this purpose, the author determines the three dominant paradigms of growth (causal, paradigm of the results of growth, and process paradigm); each of them forms the methodological principles of growth research and original representation on the process of corporate growth. The methodology of causal paradigm is based on orientation towards determining causal relations (laws) responsible for the growth. Paradigm of the results synthesizes the theories and models of growth that study the life cycle of the companies and changes taking place on different stages. The concepts of process paradigm of growth view the company as a complex, self-organizing system, and follow the organizational changes that emerge as a result of growth. The present time marks the establishment of integration paradigm, which describes growth as a process of integrating companies into supra-organizational structures. This article attempts to systematize the theoretical approaches towards understanding the mechanisms and distinctive features of corporate growth based on the general scientific methodology of paradigms. The author believes that the fundamental difference between the proposed typology consists in the focus on “natural” systematization, which is based not on the highlighted characteristics, analogies, isomorphic manifestations of growth essential for classification, but on homologies, i.e. characteristics based on the theoretical and methodological grounds shared by one or another group of theories, which set the general vector of research and representations on the peculiarities of the object of study — corporate growth. Such general principles of research comprise the core of a particular paradigm that encompasses a group of concepts of corporate growth.

The object of study is the research of youth phenomena, which is, linked to the expansion of opportunities for socialization of young people, particularly those related to interactive cyberspace mobility. This confirms the sociocultural processes where youth culture makes sense, in the temporary space and the cultural context where they take place. Assumptions allied to the purpose of investigating the vision of young students from public universities in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico and Viedma, Rio Negro, Argentina. We are convinced that moving through cyberspace research by means of digital mediation can provide the advantage of new ways of organizing information, in addition to aid in expanding the ways information is analyzed and interpreted. Qualitative research of Cyberethnographics whose development favors the construction of a specific methodological model for sighting, examining and identifying the sense and action that young people produce. It is that description, the core purpose of this present work.
