We will describe a component of the Intelligent Data Delivery Service being developed in collaboration with IRIS-HEP and the LHC experiments. ServiceX is an experiment-agnostic service to enable on-demand data delivery specifically tailored for nearly-interactive vectorized analysis. This work is motivated by the data engineering challenges posed by HL-LHC data volumes and the increasing popularity of python and Spark-based analysis workflows. ServiceX gives analyzers the ability to query events by dataset metadata. It uses containerized transformations to extract just the data required for the analysis. This operation is colocated with the data to avoid transferring unnecessary branches over the WAN. Simple filtering operations are supported to further reduce the amount of data transferred. Transformed events are cached in a columnar datastore to accelerate delivery of subsequent similar requests. ServiceX will learn commonly related columns and automatically include them in the transformation to increase the potential for cache hits by other users. Selected events are streamed to the analysis system using an efficient wire protocol that can be readily consumed by a variety of computational frameworks. This reduces time-to-insight for physics analysis by delegating to ServiceX the complexity of event selection, slimming, reformatting, and streaming.

AbstractDue to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, on-demand grocery delivery service that combines mobile technology and city logistics has gained tremendous popularity among grocery shoppers as a substitute to self-service grocery shopping in the store. This paper proposes an intelligent comparative approach where fuzzy logic and the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method are combined to determine the importance weights of the criteria for marketing mix elements (7Ps) of the on-demand grocery delivery service for the period before COVID-19 and during COVID-19. In addition to its comprehensive theoretical insight, this paper provides a practical contribution to decision makers who create a marketing mix for the on-demand grocery delivery service and other similar online grocery businesses in terms of efficient allocation of resources to the development of marketing mix elements. The study’s findings can also provide clues for the decision makers in times of similar pandemics and crises that are likely to be seen in the future.

In this era of globalization, can not be denied that the delivery of goods is needed, either by individuals or by organizations / companies. Delivery of goods (raw materials, semi-finished materials, or finished goods) that are not timely can cause inhibition of the production process. Package delivery service is a business services meripan goods that are very much the competition, therefore the income of goods services companies especially package goods packages tend to fluctuate decline as experienced by one of the domestic delivery services. With so many business competition for goods merchandise services, competition in the future will increase or change faster so that the demand map of these services will also change, if the service company does not follow the change impossible the company will exist. That is why management is required for the risks that often arise in the delivery of goods. Risk management steps that can be done include the management of human resources business competition freight services, delivery errors, goods damage sent, theft or fire warehouse. By knowing the various risks typically faced by the company, then handling the risks quickly and accurately can minimize the risks faced by the company, so spend large funds.

Online shopping businesses grow significantly in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta. Consumers find out that purchasing products online is more effective. Most of consumers in Jakarta choose direct (home) delivery as their last-mile delivery method, which proposes consumers to receive the purchased goods at home. E-commerce could minimize trip distance travelled by consumers, but distance travelled by delivery service vehicles increase. It causes new problems such as environmental issues. Parcel lockers method appeared as the solution, which proposes advantages for consumers and package delivery operators. Its scheme could minimize distance travelled by both. The packages that dropped in the lockers would be picked up, sorted, and delivered to other lockers. Consumers would pick up their goods by travelling to destination lockers. It could minimize delivery trips. This study observed the consumer's point of view on parcel lockers method, and analyse the potency of parcel lockers. This study was carried out by two online surveys with four main variables that are location, information, cost, and punctuality. The results found that punctuality is the most affecting factor (38.8%) for consumers in choosing type of delivery service. Based on the services, respondents prefer to choose parcel lockers (68.4%) rather than direct delivery.
