The double protection of the organic cation [BMIM]+ and RGO can reduce the collision and agglomeration of Pd nanoparticles. Hence, the in situ prepared Pd/RGO can exhibit high efficiency and long-term catalytic stability for the Heck reaction in the ionic liquid.
