Structure of interest in a Caribbean sample: Application of the Personal Globe Inventory

Abstract We consider U(N) $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 super Yang-Mills theory and discuss how to extract the strong coupling limit of non-planar corrections to observables involving the $$ \frac{1}{2} $$ 1 2 -BPS Wilson loop. Our approach is based on a suitable saddle point treatment of the Eynard-Orantin topological recursion in the Gaussian matrix model. Working directly at strong coupling we avoid the usual procedure of first computing observables at finite planar coupling λ, order by order in 1/N, and then taking the λ ≫ 1 limit. In the proposed approach, matrix model multi-point resolvents take a simplified form and some structures of the genus expansion, hardly visible at low order, may be identified and rigorously proved. As a sample application, we consider the expectation value of multiple coincident circular supersymmetric Wilson loops as well as their correlator with single trace chiral operators. For these quantities we provide novel results about the structure of their genus expansion at large tension, generalising recent results in arXiv:2011.02885.

Abstract The present study reports an Arduino-based STEM education material that resolves the kinematics of a moving object, specifically focusing on two dimensional motion of the object. Throughout the work, a sample application that can be prepared in a classroom where students are active and including the acquisitions of Technology, Engineering, Physics and Mathematics in a single educational environment. In the study, instantaneous time dependence of the displacements, namely x(t) and y(t) components and the resultant R(t) component, are experimentally measured on a vehicle by using an Arduino UNO, distance sensors and Bluetooth sensor prepared within the scope of a STEM education approach. The ratios between those measured physical quantities and theoretical estimations are found to be %13.1 for the position, %1.4 for the velocity and %7.8 for the acceleration. The error rate of the data was accepted to be reasonable considering highly economical teaching materials.

Das Fraunhofer IPA forscht an Workflows und Methoden für die Herstellung personalisierter Produkte von der Erfassung persönlicher Daten über die Analyse und Modellierung bis hin zur flexiblen, automatisierten Fertigung der Produkte. Der Beitrag beschreibt einen beispielhaften Anwendungsfall: die Herstellung einer personalisierten Brille. Für die nötige Flexibilität in der Fertigung wurde ein vollständig automatisiertes additives Fertigungssystem entwickelt, das im Applikationszentrum Industrie 4.0 des Fraunhofer IPA und des Instituts für Industrielle Fertigung und Fabrikbetrieb IFF der Universität Stuttgart integriert ist.   Fraunhofer IPA examines workflows and methods for the production of personalized products from the acquisition of personal data, analysis and modelling to the flexible, automated production of the products. This paper exemplifies an application using the production of personalized glasses. For this purpose, a fully automated additive manufacturing system was developed to provide the necessary flexibility in manufacturing.

Abstract A software package MenuCAD has been developed for the general need of designing menu-driven, user-friendly CAD computer programs. The main menu is formatted similar to the major contents in the final report of the design project including Contents, Analysis, Sample Design Cases, Illustrations and Tables, References, and Program Listings. Sub-menus are further divided into items delineating the steps involved in the design. Screen help messages are provided for design of the main menu and sub-menus interactively and for applying the arrow keys on the keyboard to select a sub-menus and a particular item in the sub-menu in order to execute a desired design step. MenuCAD builds the framework, its user has to supplement with a subroutine ExecItem for describing the special features and for directing how each design step should be executed in the project. A CAD design of four-bar linkage project is presented as a sample application of this package.
