Potential maritime Indonesia related health science has not been widely explored. Studies in Indonesia about the potential of marine resources to improve health are still very little. This article summarized a reports from magazines and journals in foreign countries about the potential fish consumption lowers the risk of heart attack. Allegedly this potential is related to the content of unsaturated fatty acids omega-3 (n-3) on fish. The report of observations, clinical , animal and in vitro studies have demonstrated the benefits of omega-3 prevent and treat cardiovascular disease. Although the mechanism is not clear, but it has been shown that the cardioprotection effect of n-3 fatty acids may be caused by its role influencing biological effects on lipid and lipoprotein metabolism, platelet function, arterial cholesterol distribution, vascular function and inflammatory response

This article mainly introduces the necessity of the emergence of functional foods and the current market development. Using chia seeds as the characteristic raw material, adding apple juice and hawthorn juice, it is developed to be suitable for subhealthy people, obese people, diabetes and cardiovascular patients.Functional beverages refer to beverages that regulate human body functions to a certain extent by adjusting the composition and content ratio of nutrients in the beverage. In recent research hotspots, chia seeds are often developed and applied by nutritionists or other nutrition enthusiasts because of their rich nutritional value. Chia seeds are rich in a variety of unsaturated fatty acids, accounting for about 80% of the total fatty acid content, of which omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids are the most content, 68% is α-linolenic acid, which is the most abundant omega-3 fatty acid content of the food. Each 100g of chia seeds contains about 16-25g of protein and about 26-40g of dietary fiber, including all 8 amino acids needed by the human body. In addition, it is also rich in vitamins and minerals, as well as a variety of natural antioxidant ingredients, with high-quality antioxidant functions. This makes the ability of chia seeds to maintain blood sugar stability, protect the heart, cerebrovascular, and promote gastrointestinal motility and bone health cannot be underestimated.Hawthorn contains a large amount of vitamin C, carotene, organic acids and other nutrients, combined with cellulose, pectin and organic acids in apples, can further assist chia seeds to improve gastrointestinal conditions and promote gastrointestinal motility, while soluble fiber Vegetarian can regulate blood sugar.This article chooses apple and hawthorn as flavor bases, oligosaccharides (FOS) as sweeteners, resistant starch and guar gum as composite stabilizers, to produce a chia seed functional drink to reduce weight and improve heart and brain Vascular health problems. Exhaustive exercises can cause delayed menarche or menstrual cycle irregularities in females. Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFAs) are incorporated into a wide range of benefits in many physiological systems. Our work aimed to assess the role of ω-3 PUFA docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) on the deleterious effects of exhaustive exercise on the female reproductive system in rats. Virgin female rats were randomly divided into 4 groups (12 rats in each): control group, omega-3 group treated with DHA, exhaustive exercise group, and exhaustive exercised rats treated with DHA. Omega-3 was given orally to the rats once daily for 4 estrous cycles. Exhaustive exercises revealed lower levels in progesterone and gonadotropins together with histopathological decrease in number of growing follicles and corpora lutea. Moreover, the exercised rats showed low levels of ovarian antioxidants with high level of caspase-3 and plasma cortisol level that lead to disruption of hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis. ω-3 PUFA DHA has beneficial effects on the number of newly growing follicles in both sedentary and exercised rats with decreasing the level of caspase-3 and increasing the antioxidant activity in ovaries. Exhaustive exercises can cause ovulatory problems in female rats that can be improved by ω-3 supplementation.

The population of older adults is rapidly increasing, as is the number and type of products and interventions proposed to prevent or reduce the risk of age-related cognitive decline. Advocacy and prevention are part of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA’s) scope of practice documents, and speech-language pathologists must have basic awareness of the evidence contributing to healthy cognitive aging. In this article, we provide a brief overview outlining the evidence on activity engagement and its effects on cognition in older adults. We explore the current evidence around the activities of eating and drinking with a discussion on the potential benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, polyphenols, alcohol, and coffee. We investigate the evidence on the hypothesized neuroprotective effects of social activity, the evidence on computerized cognitive training, and the emerging behavioral and neuroimaging evidence on physical activity. We conclude that actively aging using a combination of several strategies may be our best line of defense against cognitive decline.
