The application of rolling element bearings for auxiliary operation in magnetic bearing systems is quite common, yet such operation is very different to that for which standard bearings are designed. During initial touchdown of a spinning rotor with an auxiliary bearing, rapid acceleration of the bearing inner race results in large inertial and friction forces acting on the rolling elements. Complex dynamic behavior of the bearing assembly and resulting traction forces are difficult to predict but, nonetheless, have important implications for both rotor dynamic behavior and thermo-elastic behavior of the bearing components. The aim of this work is to obtain an insight into bearing behavior by analyzing component interaction forces that would arise based on the assumption that the overall bearing traction torque is dependent only on instantaneous load, speed and acceleration. How such an analysis can be verified by experimental measurements of traction during rapid acceleration is discussed and some initial experimental results are presented. The implications for modeling and prediction of rotor-magnetic bearing system behavior during touchdown are also discussed.

This note shows that split-2 bisimulation equivalence (also known as timed equivalence) affords a finite equational axiomatization over the process algebra obtained by adding an auxiliary operation proposed by Hennessy in 1981 to the recursion free fragment of Milner's Calculus of Communicating Systems. Thus the addition of a single binary operation, viz. Hennessy's merge, is sufficient for the finite equational axiomatization of parallel composition modulo this non-interleaving equivalence. This result is in sharp contrast to a theorem previously obtained by the same authors to the effect that the same language is not finitely based modulo bisimulation equivalence.

MODAPTS of Industrial Engineering (IE) work measurement was used for formulating welding hours. It was analyzed the program, operations and motion of production process on the arc welding production site. According to the theory of similar manufacturing principle, the auxiliary operation of the arc welding was divided into standard operation, typical operation and special operation. Their working hours were respectively analyzed and estimated. Arc welding operation time was treated as a set of the basic time and auxiliary operation sequence time. It is more scientific, rationalization and standardization for the welding hours, and improves the efficiency of formulating welding hours. A using example was given.

In this research, a scooping motion generation method is proposed to scoop the semi-liquid objects from different containers automatically for meal support purpose. A spoon equipped robot arm is used. Based on the pre-measured shape of the containers, the robot arm can move the spoon to trace the inner surface of containers continuously. We also control the rotation of the spoon to scoop more semi-liquid object every time by imitating human’s scooping motion. A scraping motion is also generated as the auxiliary operation to gather the remaining semi-liquid object, which can realize an increase in the scooping amount. In the experiment, we tested the generated scooping motion for two containers and four type of semi-liquid objects. The scooped amount and the scooping times are measured and compared. The result shows that about 85.9% object on average could be scooped out.

The booming information technology has brought non-negligible and irreversible great influence on our production and life styles, including the education sector. At present, although the teaching mode of culture pedagogy guarantees students’ overall grasp of culture pedagogy, students’ learning for culture pedagogy is not deep enough, and they can neither internalize relevant knowledge nor form the cure quality of culture pedagogy. Besides, the teaching effect is not entirely satisfactory. Thus, the teaching mode which is based on CASH curriculum idea and supported by information technology combines network learning space and utilizes the patent A Method to Achieve Auxiliary Operation in PPT Courseware Playing Process, and the classroom teaching quality evaluation method based on distance comparison were proposed in this study. In addition, the modeling process of network learning space was introduced. The patent A Method to Achieve Auxiliary Operation in PPT Courseware Playing Process, standardized method of distance grade evaluation model, modeling and computer operating system, and teaching case design process of CASH curriculum idea were applied. It was found through the experiment that, students are satisfied with the teaching mode of network learning space based on CASH curriculum idea, and consider that it plays a great role in the learning process, and both the teaching efficiency and teaching quality improve obviously.
