Locomotory activity of brook trout was measured at 10 °C in water of three different oxygen concentrations. Activity was sensed with a thermistor probe in a Wheatstone bridge circuit. Voltage output of the bridge was integrated automatically and recorded.Exposure to 6.0 and 1.7 p.p.m. oxygen induced tin activity response within minutes which reached a peak during the first hour then slowly waned. The intensity of response was greater to lower than to higher oxygen levels. Not all fish responded to 8.0 p.p.m. The response threshold concentration was estimated to be 8.3 p.p.m. oxygen. The response appeared to be made to the absolute concentration rather than to the rate of oxygen decrease.Various difficulties in estimating thresholds for dissolved substances in a constant flow system are considered. It is suggested that the response threshold found here be applied only in the specific circumstances of this experiment.

The project has been completed, and all of the aforementioned objectives have been achieved. An anemometer has been constructed to measure wind speed, and a wind vane has been built to sense wind direction. An LCD module has been acquired and has been programmed to display the wind speed and its direction. An H-Bridge circuit was used to drive a gear motor that rotated the nacelle toward the windward direction. Finally, the blade pitch angle was controlled by a swash plate mechanism and servo motors installed on the generator itself. A microcontroller has been programmed to optimally control the servo motors and gear motor based on input from the wind vane and anemometer sensors.

Abstract This article organized in two sections where it compares the performance of single-phase inverters using various types of inductors with differences modulation technique of pulse width modulation (PWM). Not all inductors perform the same function, even the inductance value is the same. The study will investigate the capability of each inductor on its performance to convert the unfiltered AC voltage into filtered sinusoidal AC voltage. The drum core and toroidal core inductors were used in this investigation. For both inductors, the performance will be analyzed based on Bipolar and Unipolar switching schemes in a single unit H-bridge circuit. The validation of results are through experimental assessment only and it will be evaluating the shape of sinusoidal AC voltage and the content of total harmonics distortion in the AC voltage for both inductors.

Because the shortcomings of the common asymmetrical half-bridge circuit can't achieve soft switch and has DC bias for the transformer, the paper studies a new asymmetrical half-bridge circuit. Compared with the traditional asymmetrical half-bridge circuit, the circuit is added an auxiliary switch and diode by the composition of the slip. Thus the converter can achieve the control strategy of symmetric PWM. At last the simulation results show that the theoretical analysis is correct.
