Dithiophosphoric acid esters containing various functional groups have been synthesized. On the basis of allyloxybenzyl- and allyloxymethylbenzylchlorides, as well as sodium diisopropyldithiophosphate, allyloxybenzyl- and allyloxymethylbenzyldialkyldithiophosphates were obtained, respectively. 5-methyl-2-hydroxyphenylcarbonylmethyldiisopropyldithiophosphate was synthesized by the interaction of 5-methyl-2-hydroxy-chloroacetophenone and sodium diisopropyldithiophosphate. The synthesized compounds were studied as anti-wear and anti-seize additives for lubricating oils. Were also investigated their thermo-oxidative and anticorrosive properties. It was found that all synthesized compounds provide an improvement in the anti-wear and anti-seize properties of petroleum oils, and the efficiency depends on the presence of certain functional groups in the molecules of additives.

Additives’ research remains relevant to many oil companies for this day. The dynamically developing market of lubricants requires the search for promising products for their production and the preparation of new compositions. In the last decade the strategic context for domestic oil refining has been the development of its own additives, compositions and packages of additives. The article discusses the trend of the selection of promising products based on a compound, which is the basis for the synthesis of multifunctional additives.

The method of obtaining phosphorus-containing polyester by the Steglich reaction is considered. The results of studies on the production of polyesteresters using ethyl phosphate group in the structure of dipolyethyleneglycolethylphosphate are presented. The obtained polymer was characterized by IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The composition of polyester ether was evaluated and its end groups were analyzed.

Over the last 30 years, many drugs have been tested both in cell culture and in vivo for their ability to prevent the generation of prions and the development of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. Among the compounds tested, dendrimers are defined by their branched and repeating molecular structure. The anti-prion activity of new cationic phosphorus-containing dendrimers (P-dendrimers) with tertiary amine end-groups was tested. These molecules had a strong anti-prion activity, decreasing both PrPSc and infectivity in scrapie-infected cells at non-cytotoxic doses. They can bind PrP and decrease the amount of pre-existing PrPSc from several prion strains, including the BSE strain. More importantly, when tested in a murine scrapie model, the dendrimers were able to decrease PrPSc accumulation in the spleen by more than 80 %. These molecules have a high bio-availability and therefore exhibit relevant potential for prion therapeutics for at least post-exposure prophylaxis.
