Abstract Combining narrative analysis with social network analysis, this article analyses the case of a young Swedish female who had been physically and sexually abused. We show how she became trapped in an abusive relationship at the age of fourteen years following social work intervention in her family home, and how she ultimately escaped from this abuse aged nineteen years. The analysis illustrates the significance of responses to interpersonal violence from the social networks that surround young people; responses that can both entrap them in abusive relationships by blaming them for their problems and enable them to escape abuse by recognising their strengths and facilitating their choices. The article argues that the case for social work approaches that envision young people’s social networks after protective interventions have been implemented. The article explains that such an approach has the potential to reconcile the competing challenges of being responsive to young people’s needs while anticipating the heightened risk of being exposed to sexual abuse young people face when estranged from their families or after their trust in professionals has been eroded.

The current study aimed to review the most prominent axes related to sexual abuse against children with disabilities in society, including1- Learn about the concept and forms of sexual abuse for people with disabilities.2- Recognizing the physical, psychological, and social effects of abuse.3- Responsible for exposing a child with disabilities to harassment or exploitation.4- The available treatment methods to reduce the consequences of the abuse if it develops into sexual assault. 5- Educating the family of people with disabilities about the possibility that their child will be exposed to sexual harassment.6- Adding the subject of sexual education as an effective means of preventing harassment against people with disabilities. 7- Educating the family, society and those working with people with disabilities about the correct scientific methods and concepts of sex education as a healthy and preventive means against harassment of all kinds. 8- Establishing proposed procedural mechanisms that help workers in the field of special education to know the most important preventive and awareness programs and to activate them in all educational stages.

In January of 2018, after decades of sexual abuse of hundreds of athletes under his medical care, Larry Nassar faced 156 of the women he victimized when they testified at his sentencing hearing and detailed the abuse. In the wake of the Nassar verdict, gymnastics and other youth sports organizations have come under fire for abusive practices that victimize young people. Scholars have recently argued for an approach to understanding sexual violence as an organizational, rather than individual phenomenon. The power organizations have to inflict violence on their members requires an understanding of the increased role of organizations in our decision-making and the shaping of our values and desires. Through an analysis of testimonies submitted by the women who were victimized by Nassar as children, I argue that violence was intentionally deployed as an organizational strategy by USA Gymnastics. Abusive organizational practices traumatized girls, leading them to recalibrate their expectations for what was normal and acceptable, ultimately facilitating their abuse. I propose ‘high stakes organizations’ as contexts particularly vulnerable to violent organizational practices. I argue that in these high stakes organizations, trauma is likely to be deployed as a strategy for organizational commitment, further fostering precarity in modern organizations.

People with disabilities, who represent a significant part of the population of today's world, are still on the margins of social goods and values because of the attitudes of people who are not. Although, in earlier social eras, they were observed mainly from the point of view of social possibilities of existence, the appearance of significant world documents, and affirmations on the labour market, these attitudes changed somewhat. Nevertheless, in many countries of the world, the upbringing and education of children and young people with disabilities is burdened with numerous difficulties and problems. This chapter will help students, professionals, and others interested in these problems to get to know them and thus enrich their cognitive, emotional, social, and work competencies that may be needed to work with them. It will help them in practical application at all levels of their education, which will contribute to strengthening positive attitudes towards inclusion.
