AbstractThe genus Jarmania, based on the single species J. tristis, is described. The new genus is characterized by a byssoid-leprose thallus, immarginate apothecia, asci of the Bacidia-type, strongly anastomosing paraphyses and septate, acicular ascospores. The new species is corticolous and is known only from cool temperate rainforest in Tasmania.

The genus Monopylephorus Levinsen, 1884 is revised, and divided into three genera. Monopylephorus includes rubroniveus, limosus, kermadecensis, parvus, irroratus, aucklandicus, and the new species cuticulatus and evertus. Rhizodrilus Smith, 1900 includes lacteus, africanus, pacificus, lowryi, and arthingtonae, the last two being transferred from Torodrilus Cook, 1970 and Rhyacodrilus Bretscher, 1901 respectively. Peristodrilus gen.nov. contains the single species montanus. Two other species (M. longisetosus and M. frigidus) will be referred to a new genus within the Phallodrilinae rather than the Rhyacodrilinae. The single member of the Branchiurinae, Branchiura sowerbyi Beddard, 1892 is related to both Rhizodrilus and Bothrioneurum Stolc, 1888 and is included with the Rhyacodrilinae. Telmatodrilus multiprostatus does not usually have its spermathecae in IX but in X as normal, and is not related to Rhizodrilus.The diffuse prostates in some Rhyacodrilinae may have groups of cells penetrating the muscle layers of the atria, somewhat resembling the clustered cells of the Telmatodrilinae, but with the cell bodies still forming a continuous atrial covering.The forward relocation of the spermathecae in Rhizodrilus and their absence in Bothrioneurum seems to be related to the development of large copulatory bursae in XI and the occupation of much of X by atria and vasa deferentia.

The flower beetle genus Aurum new genus (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Cetoniinae: Schizorhinini: Schizorhinina) is described. Aurum is endemic to Australia, and contains a single species, Aurum leonorensis new species, from Western Australia. The genus is compared to the most closely related Australian flower beetle genera, Diaphonia Newman, 1840, Aphanesthes Kraatz, 1880, and Chondropyga Kraatz, 1880. Ecological observations and the collecting localities are detailed for Aurum leonorensis.

AbstractThe new genus and species Kantvilasia hians (Lecanorales, Ectolechiaceae) is described from leaves of Atherosperma moschatum at the margin of cool-temperate rainforest in western Tasmania. Notes are provided on characterization, distribution, habitat, associated species, the opening mechanism of campylidia and likely dispersal processes of conidia.

Based on traditional morphological and phylogenetic analyses (ITS, LSU, tef-1α and β-tub) of psathyrelloid specimens collected from China, four new species are here described: Heteropsathyrella macrocystidia, Psathyrella amygdalinospora, P. piluliformoides, and P. truncatisporoides. H. macrocystidia forms a distinct lineage and groups together with Cystoagaricus, Kauffmania, and Typhrasa in the /Psathyrella s.l. clade, based on the Maximum Likelihood and Bayesian analyses. Thus, the monospecific genus Heteropsathyrella gen. nov. is introduced for the single species. Detailed descriptions, colour photos, and illustrations are presented in this paper.

The genus Otraleus Günther, 1935 is recorded from the Philippines for the first time. Four new species, Otraleus bellemansae sp. nov., O. applai sp. nov., O. christianae sp. nov. and O. elizabethae sp. nov., are described from the highlands of Northwestern Luzon. The characters allowing separation from O. hypsimelathrus Günther, 1935 and O. labanrataensis Soew-Choen, 2016, are given. A new genus closely related to Otraleus, Capuyanus gen. nov., is described with a single species, C. magwilangi sp. nov., as type-species. An identification key and distribution maps are provided for all species.

A parsimony analysis of recently collected species sharing several features such as scalpellate acrostichals, often setae apically on the wing membrane and often strongly extended costa, together with 38 genera show that the collected species can be assigned to Antillocladius S ther, 1981, Compterosmittia S ther, 1981, and one new genus, Litocladius. Nine new species of Antillocladius are described and figured as male imagines: A. calakmulensis, A. herradurus and A. zempoalensis from Mexico; A. venequatoriensis from Ecuador and Venezuela; A. ubatuba from Brazil and Venezuela; and A. biota, A. folius, A. musci, and A. sooretama from Brazil. The female of A. musci, the pupae of A. antecalvus S ther, A. folius, and A. musci, and the larvae of A. folius and A. musci are also described and figured. New records of A. antecalvus S ther from Brazil and Venezuela; of A. arcuatus S ther from Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela; A. pluspilalus S ther from Ecuador and Mexico and of A. zhengi Wang and S ther from Thailand are given. The genus Antillocladius S ther, 1981, originally described from the British West Indies, now includes 15 species from North, Central and South America, Russia, China and Thailand. Keys to all known males, females, pupae and larvae are given. Four new species of Compterosmittia are described and figured as male imagines: C. aberrans from Costa Rica; C. croizati from Brazil and Venezuela; C. pittieri from Venezuela; and C. berui from Brazil. The genus Compterosmittia S ther, 1981, originally described from the British West Indies, now includes 8 to 10 species from North, Central and South America, Australia, Oceania and Southeast Asia. A key to male imagines is given. The new genus, Litocladius, includes a single species, L. mateusi, described as male, female and pupa. The immatures of all three genera are terrestrial or associated with phytotelmata, and notes on their biology and larval habitats are included.

A new genus and new species of Munnopsidae Lilljeborg, 1864 is described. Nyctobadistes gen. nov. is represented by a single species, Nyctobadistes hamatus sp. nov. and was collected from off Tasmania, south-eastern Australia. Nyctobadistes gen. nov. is similar to Bathybadistes Hessler and Thistle, 1975, however, it can be distinguished from this genus by the combination of: the lack of apical setae on the dorsal body spines; the lack of lateral extensions on the natasomal pereonites; the slender carpus of at least pereopod 6; and the anterolateral margins of the pleon lack a spine and apical seta.

Alasea, new genus, is described and illustrated. As currently defined, Alasea is monotypic with the single species A. corniculata, n. sp., from Heredia, Limón, and Puntarenas provinces in Costa Rica. The new genus is assigned to the subfamily Choreutinae based on morphological and molecular data. As in other choreutines, Alasea has a bluntly pointed forewing and hindwing (in Brenthiinae the wings are obtuse); the basal segment of the labial palpus is parallel-sided (in Brenthiinae it is narrowed basally); and the basal flagellomeres of the antenna are heavily scaled (in Brenthiinae such scaling is never present). The immature stages and the biology of A. corniculata are unknown. Additionally, the terminology and homology of genitalic characters used in descriptions of Choreutidae are reviewed, and suggestions for more consistent usage are provided.

Two new species from the genus Phylacinus Fairmaire,1896 (Phylacinus fisheri sp. nov., P. kavanaughi sp. nov.) and a new genus Microphylacinus gen. nov. with a single species Microphylacinus verendus sp. nov. are described. These genera are distributed mainly along the coast of Madagascar. The material studied was acquired from California Academy of Sciences expeditions conducted between 2000 and 2002. Examined specimens allowed us to revise the genus Phylacinus and confirm previously described species. New localities were recorded for Phylacinus peyrierasi Ardoin, 1967 and Phylacinus ferreri Iwan, 2004. A key is proposed to the species of Phylacinus. Microphylacinus differs from Phylacinus by its small size, sulcate fronto-clypeal suture and fully divided aedeagal tegmen.

A new genus of Apameini (Noctuidae) from Western Sichuan, China, Alena gen. n. with a single species (Alena alena sp. n.), are described. The new species is strikingly similar in habitus to several unrelated Noctuidae.
