In this article the structure, main components and functioning of Segment Routing (SR) are analyzed. Segment routing is a WAN traffic routing technique existing on MPLS and only-BGP networks. Segment routing is also considered as a way of improving the infrastructure performance and efficiency. The main advantages of SR are achieved through the implementation of the SDN concept approach, without changing the standard data transferring plane for each of the technologies, above which SR can be applied. The article also covers the main areas of SR technology application, interaction in a centralized and decentralized network. The article provides the examples of controllers for SDN implementation using SR. The presence of a controller in the network permits the realization of bandwidth on demand, traffic prioritize, selection of the most suitable route in the network for different types of traffic easier and more often without any protocols or devices. Another important advantage of controller’s implementation on networks using SR can be a reduction of the services recovery time after a failure, because the route will be rebuilt faster (compared to MPLS). SR can be considered as an opportunity to refuse from such protocols as LDP or RSVP for situation when used on a network in tandem with a controller. IPv6 networks, using SR, are able to acquire additional capabilities in programmability and flexibility.

Purpose. In modern conditions of the transport services market functioning, the main task of a customer-oriented carrier is to provide high-quality services for the needs of the clientele in cargo transportation, taking into account modern technologies and world experience. The aim of the work is to analyze the existing problems and prospects for organizing piggyback transportation and the effectiveness assessment of this technology application on the example of one of the most potential routes. Methodology. During the research, methods of analysis and synthesis were used to study the main provisions of scientific publications about world experience of organizing piggyback transportation, methods for determining tariffs for cargo transportation and technical - economic calculations for the selected variants. Findings. Ukraine has significant potential for the development of combined transportation, in particular, in international traffic. One of the most efficient and perspective combined transport technologies in the world is a piggyback transportation. A comparative assessment of the shippers’ costs for cargo transportation using different technologies between the terminals Dnepr-Liski and Chop has been carried out. Scientific novelty. The obtained results make it possible to provide a scientific and economic basis for the selection of expedient variants for combined cargo transportation. Practical value. The obtained results of the analysis of the use effectiveness of piggyback technology, taking into account the existing tariffs and competition with road transport on the specific logistics route, can be used for a preliminary assessment and decision-making about the use of different types of combined transport as an alternative to direct road or rail cargo transportation.

Abstract This paper deals with the problem of defining the optimal procedure for reparation of the machine parts of large dimensions and complex shapes. The procedure consists of establishing the causes of the part's damages, definition of the reparation technology, with selection of its parameters and ways of execution. The reparation is done by hard-facing, with heat treatment that consists of preheating, additional heating and the post hard-facing tempering. The process parameters' selection includes choosing the right filler metal(s), ways and order of depositing the hard-faced layers, ways of reaching and maintaining the preheating temperatures, checking of the base metal's chemical composition and mechanical properties and deciding on the post-process heat and mechanical processing of the executed hard-facing. The executed reparation of the forging hammer's mallet, presented in details, serves as an example how the reparation can successfully serve as a substitute for procuring the new part and thus producing the savings both directly in lower costs and indirectly in shortening the down-time of the damaged part operation.

The shotcrete technology (application of a concrete layer) is widely used in coal mines. The applied layer of shotcrete to the underground workings support, changes the load capacity of the entire supporting system (and its elements). The coating of shotcrete is several times cheaper, faster and safer compared to the traditional reconstruction of the roadways - replacement of the supports. Appropriate selection of shotcrete parameters will allow applying shotcrete to places previously dedicated for reconstruction, and thus reduce the financial resources consumed in the mines for the reconstruction of underground workings. The article presents a method of testing steel arch supports covered with shotcrete, a station for weighting support section and a test plan.

With the continuous development of EHV (UHV) transmission lines,new lines often need to drill through the built lines,so it is urgent to study the type of diving towers. Based on typical weather conditions and commonly used ground wire models, the basic type and tower type selection of 110kV single and double circuit overpass towers in high altitude areas are studied, and two single and double circuit overpass tower schemes are planned and arranged. And according to the pole tower structure design and optimization theory, the 110kV single-circuit diving tower and the 110kV dual-circuit diving tower are optimized from the structural optimization layout and the pole tower structure node optimization design. The research results show that the single-circuit diving tower adopts the wine glass tower, and the wires are arranged horizontally, and the double-circuit diving tower effectively reduces the height of the tower. The dish-shaped tower is used, and the single-circuit wires are arranged in a triangle pattern, which provides a certain practical guiding significance for the 110kV diving-across technology application.
