Abstract The wave functions, calculated by the method described in a preceding article, are used for the evaluation of the r-centroids relative to the 1 - 0 transition of the X 1Σ+ state. By means of experimental line intensities, it is shown that in the expansion of the electric dipole moment, the quadratic and higher terms are not negligible.
