The new organic reagent 2-[Benzo thiazolyl azo]-4,5-diphenyl imidazole was prepared and used as complexing agent for separation and spectrophotometric determination of Cu2+ ion in some samples include plants, soil, water and human blood serum. Initially determined all factors effect on extraction method and the results show optimum pH was (pHex=9), optimum concentration was 40?g/5mLCu2+ and optimum shaking time was (15min.), as well stoichiometry study appears the complex structure was 1:1 Cu2+: BTADPI. Interferences effect of cations were studied. Synergism effect shows MIBK gave increasing in distribution ratio (D). Organic solvent effect appears there is no any linear relation between dielectric constant for organic solvent used and distribution ration (D). Thermodynamically found the reaction was Endothermic reaction, with ?Hex= 0.0131 KJ.mole-1,?Gex=-54.20 KJ.mole-1 ,?Sex= 167.84 J.mole-1.Beer’s law was obeyed over the concentration 1-30?g/5mL, and ?=922.90 Lmol-1.cm-1,with detection limit 1.7×10-5and Sandell’s sensitivity 6.8× 10-7 gcm-2.

Abstract Ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (UA-DLLME) based on solidification of the floating organic solvent droplets (SFO) combined with HPLC was used for determination of five fungicides in fruit juice samples. 1-Dodecanol, which has a low density and low toxicity, was used as the extraction solvent in UA-DLLME. The solidification of floating organic dropletsfacilitates the transfer of analytes from the aqueous phase to the organic phase. This method was easy, quick, inexpensive, precise, and linear over a wide range. Under the optimized conditions, the enrichment factors for a 5 mL fruit juice sample were 25 to 56, and the LODs for the five fungicides ranged from 5 to 50 μg/L. The average recoveries ranged from 71.8 to 118.2% with RSDsof 0.9 to 13.9%. Application of the DLLME-SFO technique allows successful separation and preconcentration of the fungicides at a low concentration level in fruit juice samples.

Abstract A dual comb spectrometer is used as gas sensor for the parallel detection of nitrous oxide (N2O) and carbon monoxide (CO). These gases have overlapping absorption features in the mid-infrared (MIR) at a wavelength of 4.6 µm. With a spectra acquisition rate of 10 Hz, concentrations of 50 ppm N2O and 30 ppm CO are monitored with a relative precision of 6 × 10 − 3 6\times {10^{-3}} and 3 × 10 − 3 3\times {10^{-3}} respectively. The limit of detections are 91 ppb for N2O and 50 ppb for CO for an integration time of 25 s. The system exhibits a linear sensitivity from 2 ppm to 100 ppm with coefficients of determination of 0.99998 for N2O and 0.99996 for CO.

Abstract A method is described which will quantitatively determine 0.1 mg oxyphenisatin or the diacetate in various pharmaceutical preparations. After removal of interferences by organic solvent extractions from aqueous solution and partition column chromatography, the reaction of oxyphenisatin (diacetate) with silver nitrate in alcoholic sodium hydroxide solution produces a violet solution, which follows Beer’s law (1—15 μg per ml). The method was satisfactorily applied to the assay of commercial tablets, liquids, and powders with recoveries, as per cent found of declared, in the range 95—101%.

AbstractThe extraction process of ternary ion-association complexes of molybdenum (VI) with some polyphenols (4-nitrocatechol, 2,3-dihydroxy naphthalene) and thiazolyl blue has been investigated by using an extraction-spectrophotometric method. The optimum conditions for their quantitative preparation in aqueous medium and subsequent extraction into an organic solvent have been found. The extraction, distribution and association constants, and the recovery factors have been calculated. The composition of the complexes has been determined. A precise, sensitive and simple extraction-spectrophotometric method for determination of molybdenum in products from ferrous metallurgy has been developed.
