Nowadays, geographical computation presents to be distributed, parallel, and diversification application trend. Influence of problem scale and response speed requirement received more attention. And high performance computational systems, such as “TianHe 1-A”, provides a new generation of hardware supports. In order to make full use of these high performance computational resources, appropriate and efficient parallel algorithms are needed. New parallel computing optimization technique of the geography is proposed in this paper by designing new parallel algorithms for slope analysis. We implement it based on CUDA. Experimental results with random DEM data in uniform distribution validate our methods.

Thermoplastic natural rubber based on epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) blend was prepared via dynamic vulcanization process. The main objective is to improve thermal properties of the blends. Two types of antioxidant: phenolic antioxidant (Wingstay®L) and N-(1,3-dimethzlbutyl)-N-Phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (6PPD) were used to improve oxidative degradation of the blends. It was found that thermal properties in term of thermal elastic properties and thermal stability can be improved by adding the antioxidants and 6PPD gave the blend with the highest thermal properties. These were measured based on temperature scanning stress relaxation (TSSR) technique. Incorporation of ENR into the TPU caused reduction of the hardness, improved thermal properties, elasticity and oil resistance compared to the neat TPU. These results indicated that the novel high performance TPNRs with high elasticity can be prepared.

. A novel processing method was proposed to enlarge a partial diameter in the middle of a round bar with an experimental size of 10mm in diameter. To confirm that the processing method is applicable also to shaft with a practical size of 25mm-60mm in diameter for general industrial machine, a large-scale processing machine was developed. Deformation behavior of diameter in a processed part during processing process was made to an expression. The several influences, such as bending angle θ, axial-compressive stress σc, diameters D0, rotation number N of shaft and curvature radius ρ, on the increase behavior of diameter were estimated quantitatively.

Radiology field is very important in today's world, especially in the field of medicine including dentistry. Radiology equipment that is popular in dentistry is the panoramic machine. A panoramic image facilitate the dentist in making a diagnosis of the abnormality in the mouth and teeth. But unfortunately, for developing countries like Indonesia, panoramic machine available are low resolution which have an effect on the resulting image also has low quality. This research aims to improve the quality of the panoramic image to have a better quality. We use point processing method with emphasis on contrast stretching method. We chose this method because it is quite simple but has a high performance. Based on the second opinion from the hospital, the performance is 83.9%, therefore this method is promising to be implemented on the improvement of dental radiology images.
