A fault detection problem in a process control experimental system with unknown factors is presented in this paper. The fault detecting method is based on blind system identification approach. The experimental system actuator output includes unknown dynamics and unknown fault signal. By using the fault detecting method, the fault signal is detected. Simulation results for the experimental process are presented to show the effectiveness.

The article presents a completed project of an experimental control system in the energy sector. An intelligent experimental control system can be used at various types of power plants, including nuclear power units. The developed complex includes design schemes for operational monitoring and registration of rapidly changing neutron-physical and technological parameters of a nuclear power unit at the stages of commissioning of a power unit. Automated process control systems allow the collection and registration of analog parameters with a frequency of not more than 1 second, which is insufficient for correct calculations during neutron-physical experiments and power unit tests. The presented intelligent experimental control system allows the reception and registration of analog signals with a frequency of not more than 100 millisecond. A patented software implementation has been developed that provides unlimited possibilities for realizing customer requirements for operator functionality and interface, as well as the ability to avoid tight binding to specific hardware components.

SUMMARYOnly hardware and software flexibility combined can yield the overall system flexibility required in newly designed FMSs in which the expected part mix is quite large and continually changing.The paper shows how modular design and integration are fundamental steps in software design for the management and control of FMSs. The main subsystems of a control system, built up by putting together a number of standardized modules requiring little or no customization, are also described. An experimental control system designed according to these criteria is also presented.

In order to realize the intelligent control in simulated riverway control system, the CC-Link bus and Mitsubishi FX2n series programmable controller were used for construct the network of intelligent control system.
