This paper presents a multi-case study in the field of intercultural education and it refers to a project named “Voice of children and young people in the development of intercultural education”. The cases are critical action-research projects developed with three groups of middle and high school students. They participated in dialogic processes and shared leadership with their teachers. They co-designed projects, debated and became aware of critical issues related to cultural diversity in their educational communities. The purpose of the research is to analyze participatory processes and associated changes in relation to intercultural education and students’ voice frameworks. Personal changes of the students, such as self-awareness and attention to others and to relationships, and group changes such as cohesion, were underlined, as well as changes extended to other actors —teachers, other students, staff, tutors, and other members of the community— creating collaborative relationships, solidarity, and mutual recognition. There were visible changes during the most active period in which projects were held, but sometimes impacts still endured and deepened afterwards. This stresses the relevance of youngsters’ participatory projects engaged in intercultural processes and change.

<p>The mandatory use of online facilities during the Covid-19 period has a great opportunity to increase the problem of cyber bullying at all levels of education. The concept of assertiveness cannot be separated from cyber bullying and it is known that communicating assertively can prevent cyber bullying even though it is difficult to implement. The complexity of the psychological problems of victims of cyber bullying requires comprehensive management. This analytical descriptive study with a cross sectional approach aims to analyze the relationship between assertive communication and cyber bullying by involving 151 student participants and high school students in Palembang. The data was collected using an assertive scale and a cyber-bullying scale, which was distributed online using a Google form.  From Kendall's tau-b statistical test, it is known that there is a relationship between assertive communication and cyber bullying (p=0.026). It is recommended that the education sector implement self-awareness, empathy, assertive communication and conflict resolution training to prevent the increasing number of cyber bullying's victim. Abstract Shame is one of the functions of behavioral control in individuals. Since childhood, a child has been introduced to social norms and morality and the consequences of his violations. However, the consequences of violating norms and morals show two different results, namely: shame and guilt. Research on shame in the individualistic culture places more emphasis on the aspect of self-awareness, while the interdependent collective culture places more emphasis on the public aspect. This study used a qualitative survey approach involving 54 junior high school students (male=35; female=19), (M = 19.22, SD = 3.45)  in Banyumas District, Central Java. By using thematic analysis in qualitative survey method, the findings showed that the route of embarrassed emotional attribution subjects confirmed the internal and external attribution routes. The internal attribution route is characterized by the process of feeling guilty of an embarrassing event while the external route is characterized by a publicly known aspect. Keywords: shame, guilt, attribution  AbstrakRasa malu adalah salah satu fungsi kontrol perilaku pada individu.

The interaction of secondary school and university is most often focused not on the development of the personality of students, but on their choice of directions for further education. We assume that the level of development of the personality of adolescents does not correspond to the age-related task of professional self-determination. To test this hypothesis, we used a set of projective and survey methods aimed at studying the level of development of self-awareness, conceptual thinking and motivational sphere, including in relation to the choice of a profession. In addition, we studied the current interests of adolescents and their relationship to school. The study was conducted on a sample of 153 Moscow school students aged 14-17 years. The results obtained show that worries about the imminent graduation from school and the choice of a profession leaves an imprint on the state of schoolchildren, and success in this matter seems to them overvalued. The personal interests and plans of the children are suppressed by the fear of final exams and admission to a university. Based on the data obtained, we concluded that it is necessary to bridge the gap between the real interests and needs of schoolchildren and the educational environment. As a means for this, a special subdivision of the school and the university is proposed – "School Campus". The work of the "School Campus" can provide a change in the social situation of the development of schoolchildren, removing this contradiction.

Abstract:This paper presents some of the results of a wider research on critical issues related to “adolescents and new technologies.” In particular, some data related to mobile phone usage and video games are analyzed. The most striking phenomenon today is Whatsapp, which is a very powerful group messaging tool, but whose misuse can also entail significant risks for teens. It could be used to propagate inadequate pictures and videos, spread hoaxes with unsurpassed speed, contribute to bullying, etc. When employed correctly it is very useful, though when misused it can cause much damage. A second example is set by researching video game culture, which yielded some unexpected results. The House of Representatives approved a proposition of law in 2009 that considers video games as a cultural industry and equates them to movies and music. The progression of video game usage has been uninterrupted up til this day in our society. Adolescents are fascinated by technology. Moreover, it strengthens their identity and they prefer to have as much as possible. Today’s, teenagers are heavily attached to their mobile phones, not to TV or computers. The smartphone is now their main screen. After the mobile phones and television, the technology most used by adolescents is video game consoles. 87.3 % of the sample has reported to possess a video game console, and 80.91 % have a smartphone. It is expected that soon all high school students will have this type of phone. Only 7% of the sample said they did not have a phone. The data analyzed here refer to the use of social networks by students of ESO and 1º Bachelor in Cantabria.
