As políticas públicas ocupam importante papel no âmbito do planejamento estratégico e da gestão pública nos mais diferenciados setores. Sendo assim, este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a política pública de meio ambiente, tendo como foco principal o Plano Diretor da APA da Serrinha do Alambari, no município de Resende/RJ e sua correlação com a política setorial de turismo inscrita no Plano Diretor Municipal. A pesquisa se caracteriza como exploratória e de abordagem qualitativa, com estudo de caso. O resultado aponta para a falta de sinergia entre as políticas ambiental e a de turismo, comprometendo, pois, não só a atividade turística como a preservação do patrimônio natural. Espera-se que os dados e as informações obtidas norteiem o poder público para que sejam desenvolvidas ações efetivas, através das políticas públicas, para compatibilizar a prática do ecoturismo com a preservação e conservação dos recursos naturais, ambas pautadas na ótica do desenvolvimento sustentável. Public politics: Ecotourism X preservation of natural resources ABSTRACT Public politics have important role in the strategic planning and management of public in more differentiated sectors. Thus, this study aims to analyze the public environmental politic, focusing mainly on the Master Plan of the Serrinha Alambari Protect Area in the municipality of Resende (RJ, Brazil) and its correlation with the sectoral politic entered in the tourism Master Plan. The research is characterized as exploratory and qualitative approach with case study. The result points to the lack of synergy between environmental and tourism politics, compromising therefore not only to tourism activity as the preservation of natural heritage. It is expected that the data and information obtained will guide the government to be developed effective actions, through public politics, in order to reconcile the practice of ecotourism with the preservation and conservation of natural resources, both predicated in optics of sustainable development. This study aims to figure how is the dynamic or economic condition change caused by the existence of Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga Tomb to stall sellers who most of them are the locals lives around the Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga tomb. The research method used is descriptive case study method. Where the data collection done by interview and observation. In this research, the informant is the parties involved in the tourism activity, which is the seller, the visitor, and the worker around the Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga tomb, Demak District. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and make a conclusion.The research result suggests that the existence of Islamic tourism of Sunan Kalijaga tomb Demak District brings economical change towards the seller works around.

Tourism is a strategic sector for the Portuguese economic and social development in general, and for Setúbal municipality in particular. Consequently, the existence of an effective ecosystem that promotes competitive business is crucial for the region. This chapter considers how the entrepreneurial ecosystem concerning tourism sector is perceived and operates in this Portuguese municipality. The authors chose a case study research strategy, in addition to documental analysis, through which we selected 45 stakeholders to participate as a focus group, related to the entrepreneurial activity in tourism in the municipality. The evidence shows that Setúbal municipality has relevant ecosystem elements, which are determinant for the development of the tourism entrepreneurial activity in this region. However, it is not functioning systemically in a way that can generate more effective results in the entrepreneurial activity. This result is also related with the fact that tourism activity in the region is in an initial phase and it is expected that, with its continuous development, the entrepreneurial ecosystem will also grow and become stronger, being able to create more synergies that will support new businesses.

The cultural and creative industries enhance the quality of life for Canadians and visitors to Canada. However, definitions of the sector vary, presenting challenges for researchers and policymakers. Government data shows that the pandemic job and revenue loss were disproportionate in arts. The Canadian government created a range of financial tools (grants and subsidies) to support the sector during the Pandemic. This paper analyzes these financial instruments created in response to the Pandemic. This paper offers a case study on how government can support the economic and social success of the creative and cultural sector (CCS) in Canada and avoid the risk of the cultural ecosystem collapsing. In addition, the key findings may be helpful in other industries and markets when exploring ways to support the cultural and creative sectors, which are vital components of domestic and tourism activity.

Despite increased global interest in the impacts of natural disasters on tourism, less study executes exploring how tourism sensitivity is addressed at the destination level. Generating a link between tourism and natural disaster management is vital in places that rely heavily on tourism and are prone to natural hazards. Ranau, Sabah (Malaysia) is one of the disaster-prone tourists' destination area. Hence, this paper applies the case study of Ranau earthquake 2015 to explore tourism sensitivity towards natural disasters. A qualitative of in-depth interview is applied to acquire information needed from the Ranau tourism entrepreneurs and operators. To analyse the qualitative data, a thematic analysis is conducted. Overall findings show that tourism activity in Ranau are identified to be sensitive towards the 2015 earthquake with a significant percentage of sensitivity level on two elements. These elements are known as Source and Power. The Source element includes tourism products, size of business, development, and natural disasters management with a significant sensitivity compared to the Power element (social capital). This provides insight to the need of specific tourism system adaptation as response to the earthquake and considering the integration of natural disaster management into tourism development to enhance long term sustainability.

Agrotourism is a tourism activity that combines plantation or agricultural activities by offering unique experiences to visitors. Indonesia, which has natural resources in the plantation and agricultural sectors, provides great opportunities for the community, one of which is implemented by the Mulia Asih Farmer Group in Humbang Raya Village, Central Kalimantan. Agricultural and plantation activities require fertilizer as an important component in increasing crop production, and there are even demands for environmentally friendly use of organic fertilizer or compost as an advantage so that people innovate to create organic fertilizer processing machines from the surrounding environment. This article uses a qualitative approach to discuss the findings of local communities and analyze them with the copyright law which regulates the copyright of photographic works and portraits taken without permission. Article 12 paragraph (1) of the Copyright Law regulates economic rights to portraits, there must be written consent from the person being photographed or their heirs for reproduction, distribution, announcements, commercial use, and/or communications used for billboards, advertisements, banners, pamphlets and more. The results of this study show that the public has not realized unintentional errors due to limited information so that the innovations made are claimed to be their own work even though they have previously been discovered by other communities.

The concern for environmental protection within an increasingly globalised international system has led to the planning of Transfrontier Conservation Areas, among which Peace Parks aim to achieve or maintain peace across borders. Based on the growing importance that tourism practice has for the sustainability of Peace Parks, this chapter reflects on how the tourism activity developed within Peace Parks can contribute to peacebuilding processes. This dynamic is addressed by analysing a case study, focused on the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. It shows that tourism has the potential to positively contribute to sustainability, creating better living conditions for the local population and, consequently, promoting the achievement of peace. However, it also shows that tourism may have the opposite effect if national interests dominate, if there is insufficient consultation of local communities' interests or if sensitive border and land-use issues are not overcome.

Purpose. Presentation of the prospects for the development of cultural tourism spaces and heritage tourism in the cross-border and border areas of Pomerania (both on the Polish and German sides), as well as an indication of the directions of cross-border mobility in the region of shared heritage. Method. Empirical research based on questionnaires (sample of 320 people selected from the German and Polish parts of Pomerania) and direct interviews with people responsible for shaping tourism spaces and tourism activity in the region. Findings. The research showed quite significant differences in the perception of cultural tourism as the destination of a cross-border destination within the historic region of Pomerania. Both on the German and Polish sides, respondents pointed to other (non-cultural) factors that are decisive when travelling to the other side of the border. However, there are visible changes in the identification of the region by its own inhabitants, as evidenced by their expectations regarding the development of heritage tourism and the desire to create joint brand products of cultural tourism in the region. Research and conclusions limitations. Empirical research was conducted on a sample of approximately 300 people from different places in terms of language and nationality (Poland and Germany). Certain restrictions could also have resulted from different understanding of the Pomeranian heritage issues. Practical implications. The conducted research formed the basis for further analyses of cross-border tourism activity on the interfaces of Poland, Germany and Scandinavia. Practical application in creating products and shaping the cultural tourism space of the region. Originality. So far, there have been no studies analysing the spatial diversity of cultural tourism in the areas of shared heritage developing in two neighbouring, but completely different countries. This study establishes a classification of the tourist destinations of the Region of Valencia in Spain. A cluster analysis has been conducted on a wide range of indicators related to the tourism activity of the destinations, which has then been applied a set of 60 coastal destinations and 482 inland municipalities in the region. Spatial reference frameworks are essential for applying and developing tourism planning and promotion policies. The results obtained reveal their sensitivity to the configurations generated by these data analysis techniques, the variables used in the analysis and the group of destinations taken as a reference for the classification. They also confirm the exceptionality of the case of Benidorm and the existence of tourism dynamics and processes that are manifested unequally across the territory. The latest advances within this technique are applied which will improve the robustness of the results.
