In this paper we investigate the dynamical properties of an autonomous system of three ODEs, which exhibits nonlinear oscillation couplings and resonances of high order. This system can be characterized as maximally chaotic, due to its ability to present an attractor of Lyapunov dimension anywhere between 2 and almost 3, thus featuring sink points, limit cycles and strange attractors, some very dense among them, subject to the control of a set of parameters. It incorporates quadratic as well as cubic nonlinearities.
