Product placement has existed in its most primitive form since the dawn of cinema. Now, due to the saturation of conventional advertising, this technique has reached its zenith, with brands appearing in an environment without competition, as a natural element of the plot. The automotive sector has been present from the beginning and soon understood the expressive possibilities that were offered. General Motors began its journey in the film industry in 1933 following an agreement with Warner. Since then, the General Motors group has had a growing presence in the film industry, which reached its peak in Transformers (2007), an unprecedented type of product placement. It is possible to identify a clear cause-effect relationship in the company’s sales, with product placement being an efficient marketing tool within the media mix, as we will show throughout this investigation. The study begins with a historical review of brand placement in North American cinema (1933-2014), then proceeds with a content analysis, following the methodology proposed by Méndiz (2001), of advertising placement in film and a structured interview with Norm Marshall, the director and founding partner of Norm Marshall & Associates, responsible for GM’s product placements.

The development of creative industries in Indonesia made a great contribution in the economy of Indonesia where the craft sector became the biggest contributor (Indonesia Kreatif, 2014). Companies which engaged in the craft sector are increasing, so that the companies face intense competition. It means that the company needs to build a brand that build good perception and gain the trust of the customers. The second strategy is to do integrated marketing communication (IMC), by using social media, joining competitions and exhibitions. The third strategy is product placement by doing endorsements and displaying the products in multibrand stores.

In this article a model is described, which enables differentiation of the logistics service that a company offers to its customers. Differentiating this service is essential for businesses with a large variation within their customer and/or products portfolio. The model consists of four phases: cost structuring, profiling, evaluating and differentiating. The application of the model results in a number of customer order profiles that group customers according to their ordering behavior. Each customer order profile can be drawn up for an appropriate logistics service arrangement, in order to balance service and costs. The model helps to transform logistics service from a cost generator to a powerful marketing tool.

Kata Kunci: Strategi Kreatif, Iklan, Advertorial                                                                 Abstract Advertorial is a type of advertising in a journalistic style and written in an editorial or article form that contains information about company activities or reviews of qualities of a product along with empirical facts and beneficial information. Writing an advertorial aims to integrate news and commercial messages with the result that this marketing tool will be more credible and effective. An advertorial can be used to promote activities of a company as well as products, which basically attempts to lead readers to assume that the company or products provide benefits and a solution to the problems they face. An advertorial writing training organized by the Faculty of Communication and Language of BSI University intended to enhance knowledge and skills of participants in writing, especially an advertorial. This will simplify and accelerate the official charges and promoting products for those who manage their own businesses. Based on the evaluation, it was revealed that most participants have never used computers in writing information posted on bulletin boards, correspondence, as well as promotional messages for the products they sold. Participants also have never specifically participated in any writing training, either for personal and official purposes. Another fact is that participants are also unfamiliar with advertorial as a means of promotion that has the same goal as conventional advertising which usually broadcast in mass media. However, after the training, participants are now able to do the writing applied on Microsoft Word, then integrate it with images/figures on the application. Furthermore, it is expected that participants will keep on implementing and enhancing their writing skills to write more interesting and varied writings, both informative and persuasive. Keywords : Creative Strategy, Advertising, Advertorial
