Purpose: The aim of this research is to analyze empirical evidence of the effect of entrepreneurial orientations on SMEs' business performance. The previous study found that entrepreneurial orientation became an important key for an entrepreneur to enhance business performance. This study also examined the role of relational capabilities as an intervening variable to achieve business performance. Methodology: The sample in this study was the furniture SMEs in the region of central Java with a sample size of 208 SMEs. This study used purposive sampling methods. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to test results of the data analysis with the help of software AMOS/Amos Graph. Findings: The results of the study showed that entrepreneurial orientation has a significant positive effect on business performance. Entrepreneurial orientation has a significant positive effect on relational capabilities. Relational capabilities are mediated the positive relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance significantly. Implications for theory and practice: The results of this study indicate the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance and relational capabilities and mediating role of relational capabilities. Therefore, SMEs ought to develop relational capabilities with SMEs networks through strengthening entrepreneurial orientation to achieve SMEs' performance. Originality and value: The main contribution of the study from the combination of entrepreneurial orientation and relational capabilities of SMEs to enhance business performance.

The objectives of this paper is to investigate factors that affecting SMEs performance. Particularly, our study examined the effect of entrepreneurial orientation, adaptability to external environment, and competitive advantage to SMEs performance. We also test the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and adaptability to external environment on SMEs competitive advantage. Results of structural equation modeling on 100 SMEs in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, suggested that entrepreneurial orientation and competitive advantage has a positive effect on SMEs business performance. However, our prediction that adaptability to external environment positively affect SMEs performance was not supported. Furthermore, our study also found that entrepreneurial orientation and adaptability to external environment positively affect SMEs competitive advantage.

The literature suggests that innovation allows organizations to reach a desirable level of sustainability. There is evidence to support the role of knowledge management (KM) as well as management capability (MC) in producing a sustainable approach at organizations. Furthermore, organizations commonly achieve sustainable practices through corporate social responsibility (CSR). In particular, the health sector is increasingly implementing CSR strategies, although with a narrow understanding of the factors to success. Hence, trends lead to asymmetric growth between organizations. This study aims to examine the mediating role of KM in the relationship between MC and innovative performance (IP) in 331 Health Provider Institutions (HPIs). The research reflective model was assessed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). According to the results, MC has a positive effect on IP, MC has a positive effect on KM, and KM has a positive effect on IP. Likewise, KM significantly mediates the relationship between MC and IP. Our findings support the importance of KM in addressing MCs in HPIs as it enables innovative practices to address CSR goals to achieve a sustainable impact. Moreover, this study contributes by expanding KM to contexts that are not usually studied, such as health in a South American country.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to measure and evaluate the relationship between collaborative communication, power dependence, price satisfaction, trust, supplier loyalty, and business performance. Design/methodology/approach Data used in this study were primary data which were collected through personal interviews and closed questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The sample consisted of 170 individual dairy farmer and several dairy cooperatives, which were located in Central Java Province (Boyolali and Semarang Districts) and West Java Province (West Bandung District). The study used partial least squares with the aid of the SmartPLS software program to analyze the hypothesis. Findings The results of hypothesis testing indicate that collaborative communication and price satisfaction had a significant positive effect on trust for Central Java and West Java Province. Meanwhile, power dependence had a significant negative effect on trust only for West Java Province. Trust had a significant positive effect on supplier loyalty for both of the two provinces. Significant positive effect of supplier loyalty on business performance was supported in Central Java Province, whereas in West Java Province, supplier loyalty had a positive but not significant effect on business performance. Research limitations/implications The limitation of this study is related to the number of samples, the type of scale used to measure a business performance, and the focus that is only on the relationship between the fargmers and cooperative to improve the performance of cooperative without considering the role of management. So, the future research may replicate this study in another region or in the other contexts of agribusiness sector that usually depends on farmer as a producer of the raw material. It may also enhance the measurement of business performance of dairy cooperative by using a direct measure of financial performance and non-financial performance and broaden the scope of research into the role of management of dairy cooperative. Practical implications It is recommended that managers of dairy cooperatives always involve the farmers when making marketing decisions especially concerning prices, products, market, and promotion. As organizational stakeholders, their involvement is vital in determining the ability of the dairy to achieve its goals. The other recommendation is the managers of cooperatives must have a clear policy on the price of milk, and this policy should indicate the transparency and accountability. Then, regarding the long-term benefit of dairy cooperative, it is recommended for dairy cooperatives to add the value of the milk so they can access wider markets, which, in turn, will maximize returns to the members. Based on this recommendation, it is better if the dairy cooperative in Indonesia not only serves as a marketing cooperative, but also serves as a farm supply cooperative which may process or formulate the milk into a more valuable product. Social implications The research confirms that individual dairy farmer’s loyalty can benefit the business of dairy cooperative. It may encourage more dairy cooperative to tap the good relationship with the individual dairy farmer at the initial stage of the economic growth of their business. Intensifying competition between dairy cooperatives would potentially bring even better quality and quantity of milk from the loyal dairy farmer. Originality/value Although this research used the conceptual model from the previous study, this research will make some improvement. First, it used more indicators to measure each dimension of the construct, and the investigation was slightly more complex and broader since the object of the research was represented by two regions, namely, Central Java Province and West Java Province.

Poverty in developing countries including Indonesia still an unresolved phenomenon. The distribution of assistance through productive zakat is believed to be one of the solutions in alleviating poverty by giving zakat which used for working capital of small and medium-sized businesses. This study examined the role of productive zakat given to SMEs in the city of Semarang through the Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) Semarang. The result showed that productive zakat had significant positive effect on business development of SMEs. The value of R-squared generated 0.767 that mean variable dependent can be explained by four independent as much 76% and the 24% with other variable outside research.keywords : Productive zakat, BAZNAS, SMEs

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand awareness, brand image and sales promotion on brand equity and consumer buying interest. The population of this study was all Swalayan Ada customers in Indonesia. The sample was taken by 550 respondents. After processing with normalization of data, the sample is worth using as many as 265 respondents. Analysis tools using Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS 16 program. The findings show that brand awareness, brand image and sales promotion have a significant positive effect on consumer buying interest. Brand image and sales promotion and brand equity have a significant positive effect on buying interest while brand awareness has no significant effect on consumer buying interest.

This paper aims to identify the functional, symbolic, hedonic and Islamic value constructs of Muslim consumers’ satisfaction with fine dining restaurants. In addition, it develops the role of religiosity in the relationship between hedonic and Islamic symbolic values ​​in consumer satisfaction and examines the effect of such satisfaction on the willingness to pay more. The method used in the research is based on a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), with data collected using a questionnaire; 281 valid respondents took part in the study. The results show that in terms of the influence of the dimensions of perceived value in explaining customer satisfaction, the functional, hedonic and Islamic have has a positive and significant effect, whereas the symbolic value variable is is perceived to have no significant effect on satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction has a significant positive effect on the willingness to pay more. In comparison, religiosity does not moderate the effect of perceived symbolic value on consumer satisfaction. However, it does moderate the effect of hedonic and Islamic value.

This chapter explores the influence of empowering leadership on organizational commitment of Indian millennials. Also, the mediating effect of trust in the leader is examined. Primary data were collected from the sample of 440 IT employees working in Delhi/NCR. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the proposed relationships based on model fit and standard path coefficients. Findings indicate that empowering leadership has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment and trust in the leader, which also has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, and trust in the leader has shown to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between empowering leadership and organizational commitment of millennials. The chapter contributes to the limited empirical literature on the linkage between empowering leadership and organizational commitment in a generational context, specifically millennials in Indian context. The chapter provides a leadership-based approach to bolster organizational commitment of millennials.

Women's entrepreneurship is closely related to managerial effectiveness and innovation and women's limited access to economic resources greatly influences women's welfare. This study aimed to analyze the effects of woman empowerment, entrepreneurial orientation, business network, and business performance on subjective well-being. The research design was in the form of explanatory research and used structural equation modeling. The population in this study were all weaving businesses in Bali Province. Determination of samples in this study was based on non-probability sampling. The sampling used in this study was 112 women weaving business owners. The results of this study reveal that entrepreneurial orientation and business networks had significant effects on business performance and subjective well-being, while women's empowerment had no effect, although it was moderated by the role of bricolage. This research measurement was based on the spiritual philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in cultural perspectives.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to provide new practical and theoretical insights into how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) adjust and further develop business competencies, innovations and performance by using market orientation, learning orientation behaviors and entrepreneurial orientation. Design/methodology/approach The data was collected from manufacturing SMEs of textile products that had a number of employees between 5 and 99 people in the province of Bali, Indonesia, in 2016. Bali province was chosen as a research location because Bali was one of the tourism centers in Indonesia and even in the world was considered suitable for this research. It was because it had textile product industries that contributed in the fulfillment of the needs of tourism clothing, national economy, the fulfillment of fashion needs and foreign exchange contributors from non-oil exports (Industry and Trade Service of Bali). Findings Based on the results of descriptive and inferential analysis that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the answer to the problems and objectives that have been determined is market orientation, learning orientation and entrepreneurial orientation affect business performance through knowledge competence and innovation directly and its influence is significantly positive. But market orientation, learning orientation and entrepreneurial orientation do not directly have a significant positive effect on innovation through knowledge competence. Market orientation, learning orientation and entrepreneurship orientation indirectly have a significant positive effect on business performance through knowledge and innovation competencies. Originality/value The lack of studies in the existing literature underscores the potential contribution of this subsequent study. The novelty of the research is first to develop a concept of learning orientation that is linked to competence of knowledge, which this link has not been much expressed in the context of industry SMEs; second, to build the concept of innovation development of small and medium-sized industry of textile industry based on market orientation by strengthening the mediation role of competence of knowledge.

The development of the capital market in Indonesia is very significant, with the implementation of the Yuk Savings Stock campaign to increase the number of domestic investors in Indonesia. The Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) noted that as of August 9, 2019, the number of capital market investors reached 2,070,394 people, an increase of 27.8 percent from the position in December 2018. This study aimed to find out and analyze Investment Knowledge on Attitudes, Investment Motivation on Attitudes, Perceptions of Risks towards Attitudes, Attitudes Influence Interests, Subjective Norms Affect Investment Interests, and Investment Interests Affect Investors Behavior in Sharia Capital MarketsThe population in this study are Islamic Capital Market investors in the DIY & Central Java region. Samples taken in this study are some Shariah Investors in DIY & Central Java, which total 213 respondents. Sampling using non-probability techniques with convenience sampling method and research models will be analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM), using the help of AMOS software.The results of this study indicate that investment knowledge has a significant negative effect on attitude, investment motivation has a significant positive effect on attitude, perception of risk has a significant negative effect on attitude, attitude has a significant positive effect on interest, subjective norms has a significant positive effect on interest and interest has a significant positive effect on investor behavior.Keywords: Investment Knowledge, Investment Motivation, Risk Perception, Attitude, Subjective Norms, Investment Interest, Investor Behavior
