Fifty-seven peach samples from 19 peach cultivars were gathered at consumption maturities from an orchard between July 21 and September 9 in 2010. Fruit ethylene production (C2H4) was significantly positively correlated with respiration rate (CO2) for tested samples. Fruit non-desctructively-analized volatiles were measured by a FOX 4000 electronic nose (e-nose), which 57 samples were classified into three groups according to ripening season, respiration rate and ethylene production to evaluate the volatile separations. Samples harvested in July, August and September in 2010, samples of high (>25) respiration rate (mL.Kg-1FW.h-1 CO2) and low ones (<16), samples of high (>10) ethylene production (nL.g-1 FW.h-1 C2H4) and low ones (<2) ones could be clearly separated in the discriminant factor analysis (DFA) plots based on fruit volatiles of the e-nose measurements. Intensity values of T30/1, T70/2, PA/2, P30/1, P40/2, P30/2 and T40/2 sensors of the e-nose measurements were in accord with the classifications of harvest seasons, respiration rate and ethylene production. Non-desctructively-analized volatiles, respiration rate and ethylene production were somewhat related each other despite genotype and environmental factor in the tested peach fruit samples.

The current study aims at both identifying the detailed variables behind selecting the appropriate market segment(s) and the selection of the three generic marketing strategies i.e. differentiation, focus and cost leadership. The experiences of 177 Bahraini executives working for domestic and multi-national corporations (MNCs) were utilized to achieve these objectives. Via SPSS version 21 and throughout multivariate analytical technique (e.g. multiple regression), factor analysis, and descriptive analysis the current study’s three objectives and four hypotheses were tested. Based on factor analysis, the target market selection variables are loaded on four factors as proposed by Hooley and Saunders (1993). However, the title of the fourth variable becomes “regulatory, political, and environmental” instead of only “environmental factor” as in Hooley and Saunders (1993) did name in their own study. Based on Multiple Regression (MR) results, there is no significant causality relationship between demographics (i.e. type of business, ownership, experience, and size) and market factor. Meanwhile, significant causality relationships were existed between; demographics and “economic and technological factor”; demographics and “competitive factor”; and between demographics and “regulatory, political, and environmental factor”. Finally, the variables for selecting each generic strategy have been determined.

A 12-item instrument was designed to quantify the views of 62 nurses on how the wearing of nurses' uniforms vs street attire might affect their performance of routine nursing duties, effectiveness of their therapeutic efforts, their role concepts, and interpersonal involvement with patients. Factor analysis indicated that the instrument had high internal reliability and unifactor content. Suggestions were offered for the instrument's utility as a research tool and as an aid in selection of nursing personnel in applied settings where attire worn is considered an important environmental factor or where the attitudes of nursing staff may have bearing on treatment and response to treatment of selected populations.

This study was concerned with the correspondence between the classification of measures by clinical judgment and by factor analysis. Forty-six measures were selected to assess language, auditory processing, reading-spelling, maxillofacial structure, articulation, and other processes. These were applied to 98 misarticulating eight- and nine-year-old children. Factors derived from the analysis corresponded well with categories the measures were selected to represent.
