An improvement in school coexistence figures as a decisive factor influencing relationships within the school community. However, in order to achieve such an improvement, it is necessary to know the elements that may favor the aforementioned interaction and community life. Hence, the objective of the present work is to determine the relationship between several factors, namely Attention, Participation, Sanctions and Classroom Conditions, in secondary education. The sample consisted of 47397 students from the Mexican Republic, and a questionnaire conducted by the National Institute for Evaluation in Mexico as part of the Assessment of Basic Conditions for Teaching and Learning (ECEA) was used. After a review of the literature, a theoretical model considering the mentioned factors was proposed. Subsequently, the modeling technique with structural equations was applied and an empirical model was obtained. Here, the relationship between the aforementioned factors and school interaction became evident; that is, the attention provided by the teachers, the participation promoted, the sanctions applied and the conditions of the classroom were proven crucial to improving the school environment. It is hence concluded that both the involvement of teachers and educational authorities are transcendental in this area.

Abstract The main goal of the current study is to analyze the relationship between leaders' empowerment, radical innovation and organizational performance. A total of 300 Spanish companies participated in the study. In total, 600 valid questionnaires were obtained. Structural equations were used to validate the proposed hypotheses. Two different respondents in each company were selected to provide information. All the hypotheses proposed in the theoretical model were confirmed. This research provides empirical evidence of the relationship between leaders' empowerment and organizational performance, highlighting the mediation role played by radical innovation. Leaders who empower, promote radical innovation and, in turn, performance. To our knowledge, this is the first empirical study that analyzes the effect of leader's empowerment on radical innovation. Although in the former literature there are evidences of a positive relationship between empowerment and innovation, there are no studies that differentiate between innovation typologies.

The article is dedicated to the actuality of the problem of implementing a gender approach as key in creating a non-discriminatory school environment in the conditions of reforming the educational system of Ukraine. The authors’ understanding of the essence of the non-discriminatory environment in an educational institution as safe, healthy, inclusive and gender-equitable is given; the role of a teacher in this process is indicated. The essence of the gender approach and the peculiarities of its implementation in the general secondary education institutions are revealed. The results of the study of the content and prevalence of gender views and stereotypes among teachers of both sexes are presented. It has been found that most educators are heavily influenced by traditional views on the relationship between the genders. The differences in the gender perceptions of female teachers and male teachers depending on age and teaching experience have been revealed. About 20% of teachers implement a gender approach in school practice. It is empirically proved, that pedagogical groups deepen differentiation of social and psychological requirements and expectations regarding pupils and students. Most teachers remain uncertain in their gender orientations, profess the ideology of complementarity of male and female roles. The educational process in secondary education establishments reinforces traditional views on the dichotomy of women and men social roles and to a lesser extent demonstrates the equality and equivalence of both sexes, capable of assertive behavior and the interchangeability of gender roles. Prospects for further research outline a further need to determine ways to develop the egalitarian culture of teachers of general secondary education.

In the rise of the 21st century, the music educator in modern schools is challenged to educate and train students in both conventional and contemporary music theory and practice. The contemporary approach to music learning and composition requests knowledge and practical skills from interdisciplinary fields. Electronics, physics, mathematics, computer science and music are merged to produce different contemporary styles of music. Students, in secondary education, are challenged to develop listening, performing and computer music skills, to expand their musical aesthetics and culture, together with their musical memory. Music educators are expected to teach a wide range of musical styles and techniques. Science and technology are parts of the musical practice in schools. Music has become an interdisciplinary subject, capable, more today than ever, to educate and shape personalities in school and for preparing students to be strong and healthy for entering society. Scientific and empirical research continues to be conducted to provide helpful guidelines for teachers' intentional use of music, in every class. This paper provides music educators with successful and valuable methods for incorporating electroacoustic music into the teaching and learning school environment applicable to secondary school settings

The environment is an influential component in implementing teaching and learning activities. According to Ira, Ramadhan, and Nursaid (2016) the environment is everything that is in the human environment in the process of growing life and the bonds between other creatures where humans grow. The environment can support the course of teaching and learning activities in schools. A clean school environment will make the learning atmosphere comfortable and vice versa. However, the level of human awareness of the environment is very minimal. Teachers who become teaching staff play an important role in teaching students about environmental education and foster a sense of care for students in preserving the environment.

On this qualitative paper, five characteristics are presented that facilitate or hinder the teaching and learning of reading practices in the public school media regarding the development of students' reading and writing skills. It is understood that reading and writing are processes related to the construction of meaning, based on the concept of literacy advocated by Kleiman (2013) and Soares (2009; 2015). Rather than pointing out mistakes, it is intended to instigate a critical sense in the search for changes in teaching posture by teachers, improvements in the physical conditions of the school environment, investments in continuing education of teachers and managers of public basic education in general, in addition to of the appreciation of the relationship between the text read / produced with the context of the student interacting in its construction of meaning. It is noticed that in fact the stimulus for reading contributes effectively to learning reading and writing, in this sense the public school environment must approach a teaching that allows students to interact with the texts and produce meanings together with them.

The role accounting plays in decision-making in business is a broad topic that has driven academics. This paper is grounded on decision and utility theories. It investigates the Certified Accountants' perception of financial information (FI) usefulness and the company's performance. Based on data collected through a survey applied to certified accountants, this study develops and evaluates an original theoretical model using the Structural Equations Model (SEM). The results reveal that manager's gender and academic qualifications influence the perception of FI utility. Non-owner managers and older companies also attach more significance to FI in decision making. The managers who attribute the most usefulness to FI in decision-making are those of companies with higher performance. Additionally, the results show that the FI usefulness is a mediator variable in the relationship between the characteristics above and company performance. This research helps all stakeholders improve decision-making, studying past events with FI to predict future results and consequently increase the company's success.

AbstractIn this article, we reported a case of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type I noted to have tetraventricular hydrocephalus with Blake's pouch cyst at 8 months of age following intrathecal nusinersen therapy. The association of hydrocephalus with SMA is rarely reported in the literature. Development of hydrocephalus after intrathecal nusinersen therapy is also reported in some cases, but a cause–effect relationship is not yet established. The aim of this study was to describe the clinical characteristics of a patient with SMA type I and hydrocephalus, to review similar cases reported in the literature, and to explore the relationship between nusinersen therapy and development of hydrocephalus. The clinical presentation and radiographic findings of the patient are described and a comprehensive review of the literature was conducted. The adverse effect of communicating hydrocephalus related to nusinersen therapy is being reported and the authors suggest carefully monitoring for features of hydrocephalus developing during the course of nusinersen therapy.

This paper based on the fact that in oral tradition there is a close relationship between text and the speakers and text with context (place, time and atmosphere), a multidisciplinary approach is used in this paper, such as historical, sociological, anthropological, and psychological approach. The method used is descriptive analysis method.
