This paper describes a 3D ship design software application for rapid hull definition and analysis during contract and structural layout design phases of a shipbuilding project. The paper provides background for the software application including hull form and structural layout, with advanced hydrostatics and stability, and introduces the regulatory concept of safety level and safety criteria. The software application is a powerful tool for ship concept development and enables efficient development of the contract design to form the foundation of a complete project. The paper also describes the problems associated with software development including development environment and tools together with mathematical modeling and analysis techniques used.

One example of the growing information technology today is mobile learning, mobile learning which refers to mobile technology as a learning medium. Mobile learning is learning that is unique for each student to access learning materials anywhere, anytime. Mobile learning is suitable as a model of learning for the students to make it easier to get an understanding of a given subject, such as math is pretty complicated and always using formulas. The design method that I use is the case study method, namely, learning, searching and collecting data related to the study. While the development of engineering design software application programs that will be used by the author is the method of Rapid Application Development (RAD), which consists of 4 stages: Requirements Planning Phase, User Design Phase, Construction Phase and Phase Cotuver.

The results of a study on thermal modeling and analysis of hybrid microcircuits are presented. Parametric studies covering typical component mounting methods, bonding agent materials, and component spacing are described. Temperature profiles of substrates, component temperatures, and thermal resistances are presented. It is shown that the use of moly tabs can significantly reduce component temperature levels. Additionally, it is shown that thermal modeling can greatly aid the circuit designer in the layout and preliminary design phases.

Poor design has been a major source of software security problems. Rigorous and designer-friendly methodologies for modeling and analyzing secure software are highly desirable. A formal method for software development, however, often suffers from a gap between the rigidity of the method and the informal nature of system requirements. To narrow this gap, this paper presents a UML-based framework for modeling and analyzing security threats (i.e. potential security attacks) rigorously and visually. We model the intended functions of a software application with UML statechart diagrams and the security threats with sequence diagrams, respectively. Statechart diagrams are automatically converted into a graph transformation system, which has a well-established theoretical foundation. Method invocations in a sequence diagram of a security threat are interpreted as a sequence of paired graph transformations. Therefore, the analysis of a security threat is conducted through simulating the state transitions from an initial state to a final state triggered by method invocations. In our approach, designers directly work with UML diagrams to visually model system behaviors and security threats while threats can still be rigorously analyzed based on graph transformation.

EVALUATION OF RADIATION DOSE RATE OF RSG-GAS REACTOR. The RSG-GAS reactor has been operated for 30 years. Since the nuclear reactor has been operated for a long time, aging process on its components may occur. One important parameter for maintaining the safety level of the RSG-GAS reactor is to maintain radiation exposure as low as possible, especially in the working area. The evaluation results should be able to demonstrate that the radiation exposure of the RSG-GAS is still safe for workers, communities and the surrounding environments. The purpose of this study is to evaluate radiation exposure in the working area to ensure that the operation of RSG-GAS is still safe for the next 10 years. The scope of this work is confirming the calculation results with the measured radiation dose in the RSG-GAS reactor working area. Measurement of radiation exposure is done by using the installed equipments at some points in the RSG-GAS working area and a portable radiation exposure measurement equipment. The calculations include performance of a modeling and analysis of dose rate distribution based on the composition and geometry data of RSG-GAS by using MCNP.  The analysis results show that the maximum dose rate at Level 0 m working area of RSG-GAS reactor is 3.0 mSv/h with a deviation of 6%, which is relatively close to the measurement value. The evaluation results show that the dose rate in RSG-GAS working area is below the limit value established by the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency of Indonesia (BAPETEN) of 10 mSv/h (for the average effective dose of 20 mSv/year). Therefore, it is concluded that the dose rate in RSG-GAS working area is safe for personnel..Kata kunci: dose rates, RSG-GAS, radiation safety, MCNP.

In this study, a formula is presented to estimate cross curves of cargo vessels and to predict statical stability at the preliminary design stage of the vessel. The predictive technique is obtained by regression analysis of systematically varied cargo vessel series data. In order to achieve this procedure, some cargo vessel forms are generated using Series-60. The mathematical model in this predictive technique is constructed as a function of design parameters such as length, beam, depth, draft, and block coefficient. The prediction method developed in this work can also be used to determine the effect of specific hull form parameters and the load conditions on stability of cargo vessels. The present method is applied to a cargo vessel and then the results of the actual ship are compared with those of regression values.

In the planning of building structures, it is necessary to have precise calculations so that the structure obtained is strong against loads and is certainly economical. From a geographical point of view, Indonesia is one of the countries on the most active earthquake route in the world because it is surrounded by the Pacific Ring of Fire and is above three continental plate collisions (triple junction plate convergence), thus making Indonesia a country that is has a high earthquake risk level. In Indonesia itself there are several provisions that apply where there are regulations in planning a building to be earthquake resistant. As for this research study is to plan a 10-story apartment structure using the Special Moment Bearer Frame System (SRPMK) and the Intermediate Moment Bearer Frame System (SRPMM) based on SNI 2847-2019, SNI 1726-2019, and SNI 1727-2013 and other provisions. applicable in Indonesia to support earthquake resistant building planning. At this stage, it begins with preliminary design, then structural modeling and analysis is assisted using the ETABS program. From the planning results obtained in the form of dimensions and differences from the calculation of reinforcement between the two systems used.
