Socialmente ciertos rasgos o atributos son estructuralmente devaluados y generan procesos en los que se jerarquiza de forma inferior a quienes se etiquetan bajo dichas características. Generando así procesos de violación de los Derechos Humanos, discriminación y exclusión social que son producidos y reproducidos por la sociedad y sus estructuras. Partiendo de las encuestas mexicanas de discriminación ENADIS se construye una escala Likert para medir el grado de incomodidad hacia diversos estigmas y se propone identificar los motivos por los que se producen las respectivas actitudes. Para ello se ha tomado en consideración a 375 estudiantes mexicanos de Trabajo Social. Los resultados evidencian que la sexualidad y las cuestiones derivadas de la nacionalidad y la etnia son los rasgos más susceptibles al estigma. Así mismo se evidencia que el hecho de conocer a personas con dichos características, el sexo y el nivel formativos son determinantes.Socially certain traits or attributes are structurally devalued and generate processes in which it is ranked lower than those who are labeled under those characteristics. Thus generating processes of violation of Human Rights, discrimination and social exclusion that are produced and reproduced by society and its structures. Starting from the Mexican discrimination surveys ENADIS, a Likert scale is constructed to measure the degree of discomfort towards various stigmas and it is proposed to identify the reasons for the respective attitudes. For this, 375 Mexican students of Social Work have been taken into account. The results show that sexuality and issues derived from nationality and ethnicity are the most susceptible to stigma. Likewise, it is evident that the fact of knowing people with these characteristics, the sex and the formative level are determinant.

Este trabajo tiene por objeto explorar la congruencia entre las recomendaciones curriculares y las prácticas reales en la educación en derechos humanos en la formación académica de las/los futuros trabajadores sociales. Mediante la técnica de revisión integrativa de literatura se explora, a escala internacional, las publicaciones científicas sobre la materia. Además, en el caso de España se revisan los planes formativos de las universidades nacionales. Se analizan tres ejes: prescripciones institucionales, la inclusión de los derechos humanos en el currículo, y el contenido de los cursos sobre derechos humanos desarrollados en el marco de los mismos o de experiencias alternativas. Se presenta un estado de la cuestión, una propuesta de indicadores y los retos que las instituciones educativas de Trabajo Social deben afrontar si quieren hacer efectivo el mandato ético de la defensa y promoción de los derechos humanos como parte del cometido profesional.This work aims to explore the congruence between curricular recommendations and real practices in human rights education in social work. Through an integrative literature review, scientific publications on the subject are explored on an international scale. In addition, in the case of Spain, the training plans of national universities are reviewed. Three axes are analyzed: institutional prescriptions, the inclusion of human rights in the curriculum, and the content of the courses on human rights developed within their framework or alternative experiences. It presents a state of the question, a proposal of indicators and the challenges that the Social Work educational institutions must face if they want to make effective the ethical mandate of the defense and promotion of human rights as part of the professional role.

• La proliferación de nuevos movimientos de extrema derecha en el contexto europeo sitúa a la disciplina de Trabajo Social en una posición de responsabilidad, siendo necesario el planteamiento de nuevos mecanismos que permitan hacer frente a esta tendencia de forma integrada con la propia comunidad, implicando de forma activa a la ciudadanía y considerando la necesidad de coordinar los esfuerzos entre los diferentes contextos nacionales. El Trabajo Social ha de asumir ante esta problemática su papel como profesión de derechos humanos, articulando un conjunto de buenas prácticas que permitan una actuación simultánea desde las diferentes esferas del ámbito social, educativo y político.   • The proliferation of new right-wing movements in Europe places the discipline of Social Work in a position of responsibility, making it necessary to create new mechanisms to cope with this trend in an integrated fashion with the community itself, actively involving the general public and considering the need to coordinate efforts among the various national backgrounds. In the light of these problems, social work needs to assume its role as a profession of human rights, articulating a set of best practices that can lead to simultaneous action from different social, educational and political spheres of activity.

The compatibility of principles, accomplishments of individual leaders and professional organizations' actions are examined, with particular focus on the period of adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The term social exclusion achieved widespread use in Europe from the late twentieth century. Its value as a concept that is different from poverty, with universal relevance, has since been debated. It is used in Western literature about international development, and some authors have linked it to the notion of capabilities. However, it is not widely used in the social work vocabulary. Conversely, the notion of social inclusion has gained in usage and application. This links with values that underlie promotion of empowerment and participation, whether of individuals, groups, or communities. Both terms are inextricably linked to the realities of inequalities within and between societies and to the principles of human rights and social justice that feature in the international definition of social work.

Some social commentators are divided over whether human rights discourse is a powerful and valuable tool or just another form of western imposition. While navigating the grey area between respecting cultural diversity and upholding human rights is not easy, it can be done. Furthermore, it is important that it is. Social work is committed to the advancement of human rights and social justice. One strategy for promoting social justice is to inculcate a human rights-based approach to social work practice. Using ubuntu as a theorical framework, this article initially explores social exclusion and the accompanying stigma that homeless people experience; it then examines how social workers could apply the principles of ubuntu to re-inscribe homeless people’s human rights. A qualitative study was undertaken with 14 participants who were purposively selected and also identified through snowball sampling. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and analysed thematically. Principles of credibility, transferability, dependability and conformability were judiciously adhered to in the research process. The findings indicate that homeless people are the most marginalised population of the community and they are exploited in a variety of ways.

If social work is to be truly international, it needs to address newly emerging international issues, specifically terrorism and global warming. Both of these raise profound implications for human rights and social justice, and hence social workers have significant contributions to make to addressing such issues. However to do so, social workers in western countries will need also to accept the loss of legitimacy of the western modernity, so that their theory and practice can be influenced by post-colonial writers and alternative knowledges and wisdoms from the global south, and from indigenous people. A number of curriculum proposals are made, with a view to developing more appropriate international social work education programs. Si el trabajo social tiene que ser verdaderamente internacional, necesita dirigirse a los emergentes acontecimientos recientes, específicamente al terrorismo y al calentamiento global. Estos dos temas originan profundas implicaciones para los derechos humanos y la justicia social, y por ello, los trabajadores sociales tienen contribuciones significativas al respecto. Aún así, para poder hacer esto, los trabajadores sociales de los países occidentales necesitan aceptar la pérdida de legitimidad de la modernidad occidental, de forma que su teoría y práctica pueda ser influenciada por escritores postcoloniales y conocimientos y saberse alternativos del sur global y de las personas indígenas. Se realizan un número de propuestas curriculares con la perspectiva de desarrollar programas educativos internacionales en el trabajo social más apropiados

El presente artículo es resultado de una revisión bibliográfica en conjunto con una reflexión por parte de los que escribimos el mismo. Tiene como objetivo explicar por qué es importante el Trabajo Social Comunitario. Para esta explicación, nos hemos fundamentado en un fenómeno social que es la exclusión social. Durante la realización del presente, se observa perfectamente que todo está relacionado y que desde la disciplina del Trabajo Social se puede trabajar para la mejora de los problemas que van surgiendo. Pero debemos tener cuidado también con esto último. La sociedad cambian, surgen dificultades y problemáticas sociales nuevas, y es tarea del Trabajo Social y de los trabajadores sociales el ir evolucionando para poderles hacer frente. En cambio, encontramos varias problemáticas sociales que a pesar de los años, las intervenciones, las perspectivas de análisis y de intervención; perduran a lo largo del tiempo. El mejor ejemplo de esto, es la exclusión social. Atendiendo a una visión naturalista podríamos decir que “siempre ha habido ricos y pobres”, pero no nos cuestionamos sobre la procedencia de que siempre haya ricos y pobres. Estudiamos la historia de la exclusión social, analizamos la situación de la población y acudimos al trabajo social para ver cómo se puede responder a esto This article is the result of a literature review in conjunction with a reflection on the hand that you write the same.It is intended to explain why it is important to Community Social work. For this explanation, we have informed us in a social phenomenon that is social exclusion. Esta investigación analiza los tipos de intervención del profesional de trabajo social con jóvenes y adultos que presentan alguna discapacidad. Se desarrolló en una asociación civil en Chiapas, México, mediante un abordaje cualitativo. Los hallazgos señalan que el modelo de la diversidad, centrado en el respeto, valoración de los derechos humanos, puede encaminarlos a procesos de resiliencia de largo plazo. La intervención debe tener presente el contexto histórico, social, familiar, económico, cultural y los aspectos biológicos del ser humano; además, concebir a estas personas como individuos con derechos, sentimientos, motivaciones y capacidades. Todo en su conjunto coadyuvará en la mejora de sus condiciones de vida y su integración en la sociedad. This research was oriented to analyze and publicize the different types of intervention that can implement by the social work professional with young people and adults who have a disability. It was developed study in a civil association in the city of San Cristobal de Las Casas (SCLC), Chiapas, through a qualitative case. The findings indicate that the systemic approach focused on respecting and valuing human rights towards people with disabilities can lead them to long-term social resilience processes; Family support is an important element, therefore, in social work, specific actions that involve them should be promoted and thus increase the chances of integrating into society in a dignified manner.
