El artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación empírica orientada a conocer las variables que inciden en la situación de empleabilidad de los profesionales del trabajo social en la actualidad, concretamente las características de las entidades empleadoras, la tipología de la oferta de empleo para la profesión y el perfil de competencias requerido por las entidades empleadoras. Para ello se ha estudiado el total del universo de ofertas de empleo (120) destinadas a los profesionales del trabajo social en la una región de España (Murcia) y en un año (2016). La recogida de datos se realizó a través de un protocolo validado que permitió la recogida sistemática de 27 dimensiones. Sus resultados fueron analizados a través de un grupo focal de personas expertas mediante un informe y guión de 11 categorías de análisis. Los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifiesto que la oferta de empleo para Trabajo Social es escasa y proviene mayoritariamente de entidades privadas del tercer sector, con empleos temporales, requiriéndose una especialización por parte de los profesionales en el área de actuación ofertada, siendo los ámbitos de trabajo que más ofertas generan, el área de dependencia y de empleabilidad.The article presents the results of an empirical investigation oriented to know the variables that affect the employability situation of the social work professionals at present, specifically the characteristics of the employing entities, the typology of the job offer for the profession and the profile of competencies required by the employing entities. To this end, the total universe of job offers (120) for social work professionals in the one region of Spain (Murcia) and one year (2016) has been studied. The data collection was done through a validated protocol that allowed the systematic collection of 27 dimensions. Their results were analyzed through a focus group of experts through a report and script of 11 categories of analysis. The results reveal that the job offer for social work is little and it comes mainly of third sector private entities, with temporary jobs, requiring an expertise for this professionals in the area of activity offered, being the areas of work that most job offered, the areas of personal support and employability.

  RESUMEN El presente artículo es una reflexión sobre la práctica del trabajo social en el rol de perito social forense dentro del sistema de administración de justicia, donde su labor se funda en mediar entre la realidad del periciado –sujeto del que se debe dar cuenta en una investigación judicial– y quien requiere de los antecedentes necesarios para que el “Juez” dicte sentencia, lo que habitualmente genera un “conflicto de interpretaciones”. En tal sentido, es relevante discutir las dificultades que deben enfrentar las y los trabajadores sociales, en cuanto a la comprensión de una realidad cada vez más compleja, y al conflicto que se genera entre las interpretaciones de los mundos de vida de las personas y los requerimientos del sistema judicial chileno. Cuando el Trabajo Social comenzó a sistematizarse y a organizarse a partir de Mary Richmond, se proponía como un programa de investigación distinto dentro de las Ciencias Sociales (Lakatos, 1999). Distinto porque toma los planteos teóricos dados en las Ciencias Sociales desde �las circunstancias históricamente determinadas y existencialmente posicionadas; creando nuevas perspectivas sobre esos planteos teóricos� (Méndez, 2006) y porque con su práctica profesional, evalúa y muestra el problema de las consecuencias efectivas y potenciales de la utilización de los conocimientos (Dewey, 1967) en la construcción de las prácticas sociales (discursivas o no discursivas).Presentar la emergencia de un discurso propio de las personas y documentar lo real de las prácticas sociales, mostrar cómo es que a algunos enunciados que no son en sí mismos ni verdaderos ni falsos, se les otorgan el �estatuto de verdad�; es lo que hace que el Trabajo Social deba ser vigilado y desarmado en sus efectos.Si el discurso no es el medio por lo que se establecen las luchas en esta sociedad de discursos; sino que es por el discurso, por lo que se lucha. Si el discurso es �aquel poder del que quiere uno adueñarse� (Foucault, 1983), las Ciencias Sociales no podían dejar al azar el discurso del Trabajo Social.When Social Work became systematized and organized after Mary Richmond, it was described as a different research program within the social sciences (Lakatos, 1999). It was different because it considered the theoretical propositions in the social sciences from �historically determined and existentially positioned circumstances, thereby creating new perspectives on those theoretical propositions� (Méndez, 2006) and because through professional practice Social Work assesses and highlights the problem of the real and potential consequences of the use of knowledge in the construction of social practices (Dewey, 1967), whether discursive or non-discursive.As Social Work presents the emergence of people�s own discourse and documents the reality of social practices while it also presents statements which are neither true nor false as necessary truths, Social Work should be watched and disarmed in its consequences.Discourse is not the means through which fights are established in our discourse society; it is discourse that is fought about. If discourse is �that power we wish to get hold of� (Foucault, 1983), then the social sciences should not ignore the discourse of Social Work.

Las metodologías inclusivas son estrategias, que tienen como finalidad la inserción del alumnado a la comunidad educativa, especialmente a los grupos con más riesgo de exclusión, ejerciendo así el derecho a una educación de calidad, igual que a los demás estudiantes. Al hacer referencia a la educación superior, ésta no es la excepción, pues la inclusión se basa en las normativas legales que los ampara. Esta investigación se realizó con el objetivo de indagar cuál es la Metodología inclusiva que aplica el personal docente de la carrera de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, para impartir sus clases dirigidas a estudiantes con discapacidad. Los sujetos de estudio fueron 12 docentes de la Carrera, para lo cual se aplicó una investigación de tipo cuali-cuantitativa, descriptiva, analítica y bibliográfica. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta, así mismo para su correcta aplicación se usó la guía de encuesta, que en este caso fue aplicada a los docentes. Mediante esta investigación se pudo obtener información relevante, cumpliendo con el objetivo planteado y mejorando las metodologías inclusivas que permitieron eliminar la brecha de la discriminación de todas las personas independientemente de su raza, nacionalidad, religión, sexo, cualquier situación de movilización, discapacidad física o cualquiera que afecte a los procesos sensoriales y cognitivos, con respecto a estos resultados obtenido se pudo verificar que en la actualidad se encuentran en constante capacitaciones los docentes, para así poder implementar una buena enseñanza a sus estudiantes con necesidades especiales.

Resumo – Este artigo de micro-história reflexiva refere-se à história da mudança do paradigma do Serviço Social funcionalista no processo de reconceituação vivido na Escola de Trabalho Social da Universidade Católica de Valparaíso, no Chile, de 1970 a 1973. Tem por objetivo discutir a fundamentação e a prática do paradigma reconceituado no contexto da experiência chilena de transição para o socialismo com liberdade e da articulação com o marxismo. O relato histórico tem como referência a escrita de uma micro-história na perspectiva de uma análise da totalidade, com base em narrativa pessoal e em documentos da época, conforme sugere Burke (1992), numa perspectiva da sociologia reflexiva (MELUCCI, 2005). A discussão da experiência aponta para a construção de uma articulação do Serviço Social com a ação política comprometida com a transformação das relações de dominação. Palavras-Chave: Reconceituação do Serviço Social; Funcionalismo; Dialética; Experiência Chilena.  Abstract – This reflective microhistory article refers to the history of the paradigm shift of the functionalist social service in the process of reconceptualization lived in the Social Work School of the Catholic University of Valparaíso - Chile from 1970 to 1973. Its purpose is to discuss the fundaments and the practice of the paradigm reconceptualized in the context of the Chilean experience of transition to socialism with freedom and this articulation with Marxism. The historical account has as reference the writing of a microhistory in the perspective of an analysis of the totality, based on personal narrative and documents of the time, as suggested by Burke (1992), from a perspective of reflective sociology (MELUCCI, 2005). RESUMENEl presente artículo presenta las principales conclusiones a las que se llega luego de realizar una investigación documental, cuyo objetivo fue comprender los planteamientos éticos de los trabajadores sociales, a través de la revisión de las ponencias presentadas en el 33º Congreso Mundial de Escuelas de Trabajo Social, respecto de la desigualdad social. Este artigo tem intenção de discutir uma possível metodologia baseada no projeto ético-político libertador. Nesta perspectiva, este texto pretende contribuir para a reflexão e a estruturação metodológica de práticas em educação popular. Ele analisa as principais características do trabalho social com a população que tenha o projeto de libertação como referência. A opção metodológica utilizada na produção do artigo foi uma proposta reflexivo-existencial, ou seja, uma reflexão rigorosa sobre a experiência do autor com a intervenção social. O artigo conclui afirmando que: propostas de práxis mais radicais precisam superar a desnecessária oposição modernidade x pós-modernidade, agregando elementos emancipatórios de ambos os movimentos; os mediadores críticos precisam desverticalizar as relações com os grupos populares; precisamos desenvolver o otimismo crítico e superar o pessimismo que frequentemente acompanha a atividade da crítica.Palavras-chave: Educação popular. This paper examines three aspects of the distribution and use of children's psychiatric services in Canada under National Health Insurance. These are: 1) Class disparities in the utilization rates of these services; 2) The extent to which those children most in need of treatment are receiving it; and 3) The extent of unmet need for psychiatric services for children 17 years of age and under in the Ottawa-Carleton region. The subjects of this investigation were 96 children between the ages of 6.5 and 12 years who have attended the Children's Services at the Royal Ottawa Hospital. The results indicate that class disparities in the distribution of services were the reverse of those typically found under private fee-for-service arrangements. The high social class had the lowest proportionate use and the welfare classes the highest. In addition, there was a significant association between social class and age for the boys only; the higher the social class, the younger the boy at the time of referral. Almost two-thirds of this sample were found to have antisocial and aggressive disorders. Consistent with estimates of the high rates of these disorders in the general population, this suggests that a proportionate number of those children most in need of treatment are receiving it. For children 17 years of age and under, the one-year treated prevalence of disorder in the Ottawa-Carleton region was estimated to be .95%. Though higher than reports from other sources, it is clear that free medical care alone is not sufficient to bridge the gap between estimates of the true prevalence and treated prevalence of childhood psychiatric disorder. These findings are discussed in terms of the importance of non-economic factors as determinants of the distribution and use of children's psychiatric services. As well, the importance of referral practice, especially for the lower social classes is commented upon. Finally, suggestions are made for further research.

AbstractThe challenges facing social workers in addressing the migration crisis are myriad and complex. Against this background, the current article presents a case study on the response of Israeli social work to the asylum seekers, which allows us to identify gaps between the social work profession’s global agenda and its implementation. The article examines how recent immigration policies have impacted Israeli social workers’ responses to these challenges. Following a brief description of Israel’s policies for controlling and limiting the entrance of asylum seekers to the country, the article offers insights into social workers’ involvement in some of the main social services that aim to assist asylum seekers in Israel. Insights are also offered into the response of Israeli social workers to the community of asylum seekers, which focuses on individual needs and on urgent needs. Several explanations for these emphases was offers, noting that they may reflect a more general gap between repeated statements about the significance of human rights for the social work profession on the one hand and the professional reality on the other. Finally, several strategies for social work in the community of asylum seekers and in society as a whole are recommended.

Resumen: A través del análisis de contenido de dos foros de autoapoyo organizados, de modo espontáneo, por personas afectadas por trastorno disfórico premenstrual; se quiere llamar la atención a la profesión del Trabajo Social sobre la necesidad de promover iniciativas profesionales, en el ámbito virtual, en general; y con grupos de autoapoyo on line, en particular. Este trastorno, poco conocido, provoca graves consecuencias a las afectadas, que se deben enfrentar con frecuentes situaciones de incomprensión. Esa gravedad, en ocasiones, provoca no poder mantener un trabajo o romper relaciones de pareja o amistad. El autoapoyo supone un alivio para las afectadas que en la red se expresan con personas en su misma situación. Ha sido tarea del Trabajo Social el apoyo a grupos de personas que precisan organizarse para lograr un empoderamiento óptimo. Este reto, aplicado al mundo virtual, todavía está por acometer, por lo cual emerge una interesante oportunidad para el Trabajo Social del presente siglo. Through the content analyze of two Internet self-support forums, spontaneously organized by women suffering Premenstrual dysphoric disorder, it is wanted The Social Work to attract its attention about the need of taking up professional initiatives generally to online Social Work practice and particularly to online self-support groups.. This disorder is barely known. It causes serious consequences for the patients who have to tackle with frequent lack of understanding. This seriousness, often causes, affected are forced to drop out their jobs, or relationships like couples or friendships. Self-support becomes a relief to them who can express themselves on the Internet with people suffering the same situation. It has been a task for Social Work, supporting groups needing a convenient organization for obtaining an optimal empowerment. This challenge about Online Social Work practice is not common; consequently it is an interesting challenge for the Social Work of the beginning of the century.
