Due to major changes and challenges in the way of conducting business in recent decades, establishing work/life balance of employees and managers has become a very important topic. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the obstacles to successfully establishing this balance, the most important of which being the supportive organizational culture and superiors' communication. Another goal of this paper is to introduce the Standards of Excellence Index as a measure for determining the success of the companies' work/life balance programs for employees and managers within 7 components: leadership, strategy, infrastructure, accountability, relationship building, communication, and measurement. In this regard, this paper presents research results on this index in companies in America, where this index was created.

Summary The article presents the results of research concerning worklife balance of employees of enterprises located in lubuskie voivodeship. The working conditions provided by employers were analyzed. The authors of research checked whether they favor, according to the respondents, the homeostasis between work and private life. The results showed some deficits in this area. This led to reflection on the potential remedial actions which can be applied in the organization, such as a policy of „family friendly employment”.

This study aimed to verify the structural relationship among organizational culture, work-life balance, wellbeing and depression. A total of 569 Korean employees were recruited. The measurement model and the structural model were verified and also the model applicability was examined through cross-validation across gender and age. The results show that organizational culture supporting work-life balance has positive effect on employees’ well-being and work-life balance whereas has negative effect on depression, and those effects are mediated by work-life balance. The results from the multi-group analysis showed that for both male and female employees in all age groups, organizational culture supporting work-life balance has significant effect on well-being, depression and work-life balance. In addition, it was verified that work-life balance significantly affects well-being and depression in all age groups regardless of gender.

The aim of this study is to discuss employees’ work-life balance strategies to improve individual health and wellbeing balance. A healthy balance between work-life and home-life is incredibly important and something everyone should strive to achieve. However, it is not uncommon for employees to find their personal life, suffering as they struggle manipulate family, friends and other commitments with busy schedules. The finding determines that employees are desiring more control over their work patterns and an overall healthier work-life balance. The main aim of this case study is to explore the work-life balance that utilize to improve the employee’s performance organization. This study also integrated the work-life balance effectiveness, the importance of a supportive work environment, employee commitment and motivation. Also emphasize, employee wellbeing and productivity, employee job satisfaction and quality work life, organizational culture change, and low utilization of the job sharing. The finding of work-life balance could help improve organizational culture and employee overall performance. In despite, may contribute a significant social change by preparing employees for success while simultaneously positioning individuals to attain the optimum balance between work and life responsibilities. Essentially, to keep pace with workplace trends, human resource professionals seek options to positively impact the bottom line of their companies, improve employee morale and retain employees with valuable company knowledge. Finally, the results perspective that human resource professionals can assist their companies to capitalize on these factors by using work-life balance initiatives to gain a competitive advantage in the effectiveness of work-life practices. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among goal-focused self regulation, Life satisfaction, and work-life balance. Specifically, this study investigated the mediating role of work-life balance on the relationship between goal-focused self regulation life satisfaction. In addition, this study examined a moderating effect of WLB organizational culture on the relationship between work-life balance and life satisfaction. Data were collected from 216 Korean employees who were working in various organization via online survey, and 200 data were used for analyses. The findings were as follows: First, there were positive relationships among goal-focused self regulation, life satisfaction, and work-life balance. Second, the results of structural equation analysis showed a strong support for the proposed model, and the result of bootstrapping analysis supported that the effect of goal-focused self regulation on life satisfaction was partially mediated by work-life balance. Third, the results of hierarchical analysis showed that there was a moderating effect of WLB organizational culture on the relationship between work-life balance and life satisfaction. Based on these results, implications and limitations of this study with the directions for future research were discussed.

Nurses are fundamental to the functioning of any healthcare organization. However, nursing is a demanding and stressful profession. Excessive occupational stress can cause work-life conflict, decrease quality of care, and increase nurse resignation. It is essential that healthcare providers examine their organizational culture to ensure a supportive climate to maximize the well-being and work-life balance of nurses. With the improvement of the organizational culture, nurses will be able to provide top quality medical care, be more productive, and enhance patient satisfaction.
