AbstractIn today’s hyper competitive banking arena, banking institutions are focusing on improving service quality. Providing excellent quality of service is important in creating and sustaining competitive advantage in the banking industry of Mauritius due to intense competition between local and international banks. Hence, the paper explores the impact of Service Quality (SQ) Dimensions on customer satisfaction. Using the SERVQUAL model, the paper seeks to examine the impacts of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible aspects on customer satisfaction in banks of Mauritius. A sample of 200 banking customers was randomly selected and data were analyzed through SPSS version 22. The SERVQUAL model has been found as reliable factors and appropriate tool to measure, evaluate, support, and improve the quality of services in banking industry. Results indicated that all five service quality factors have significantly positively influenced customer satisfaction in banks. Regression analysis was also conducted and depicted that empathy is a significant predictor of customer satisfaction among the five SQ dimensions.

Recently, the market of the banking industries is growing rapidly in Myanmar. Therefore, banks not only need to focus on attracting new customers but also on maintaining the existing customers by providing the exceptional quality of services in order to survive in extremely stiff competitive industry. This research is attempted to investigate the 5 determinants which lead to customer satisfaction to Ayeyarwaddy Bank (AYA) in Mandalay, Myanmar. The questionnaires were distributed to 200 people who have been experienced of using the service of the 2 branches of the AYA Bank in the same city. Single & multiple linear regression model were used in order to test the hypotheses to find out the beta coefficient and significant level. The finding is that all of the service quality dimensions such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibility are rejected and statistically influenced on the customer satisfaction. The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between banking service quality dimensions and customer satisfaction in Nepalese banking industry. Three commercial banks operating in Kailali district (Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nabil Bank and Global IME bank) were taken as sample and 327 depositor customers of these banks were surveyed using structured five point Likert scale questionnaire. Data was collected via online and field survey by visiting the customers at related banks, business organizations and government and non government offices of  Kailali. SPSS version 20, Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis have been  used to analyze the data. The findings of this study revealed that there is positive relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. All the service quality dimensions have statistically significant positive impact on customer satisfaction except tangibility. It means higher service quality helps increase customer satisfaction. The results of this study will help bank mangers to focus on their customer’s satisfaction in order to compete favorably in banking Industry. Future researchers can conduct their study focusing on mediating effect of customer satisfaction in service quality and customer loyalty. Effect of demographic variables on satisfaction is also unanswered in this study so, further study can be done including moderating effect of demographic variables.

This study aims to investigate the effect of Service Quality Dimensions on Customer Satisfaction, the effect of Customer Satisfaction towards Patient Revisit Intention and searching a significant relationship between variables within the biggest private hospital in Denpasar Bali, RS BaliMed. Improving Service Quality and establishing Customer Satisfaction within the hospital will increase the Patient Revisit Intention, our motive is to find out the truth regarding the statement for RS BaliMed. This study adopted several literatures for the Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction and Revisit Intention assessment.  In this study, 100 respondents’ data were analyzed using PLS model and finds that Assurance and Empathy from Service Quality Dimensions have positive and significant influence toward Customer Satisfaction and also followed by the findings of Customer Satisfaction has positive and significant influence toward Revisit Intention. Interestingly this study also found that Reliability, Assurance and Empathy have indirect significant influence toward Revisit Intention which considered as unique findings.

This study aims to determine the dimensions of mobile service quality and to examine their effect on customer satisfaction in UAE mobile phone service providers while also investigating the behavioural differences between mobile phone customers with prepaid and postpaid subscriptions. A combination of the SERVPERF model has been adopted as the main framework for analyzing service quality. A structured questionnaire instrument was designed for data collection. The present study concentrates on the level of customers’ satisfaction for leading service providers in the UAE mobile industry. Etisalat and Du were chosen for this study. A sample of (452) mobile phone users in Abu Dhabi city was selected at random using convenience-sampling. We found a positive effect of both functional and technical service quality (network quality) on customers’ satisfaction. Functional and technical dimensions were good predictors of customer satisfaction and confirmed the multidimensional nature of service quality. Also, the service quality dimensions; reliability, assurances, and responsiveness are found to be significant predictors of customer satisfaction. Behavioural difference between mobile phone customers is also significant in predicting customer satisfaction for postpaid subscribers. However, only reliability and network quality are significant predictors of customer satisfaction for prepaid subscribers. The model developed in this study provides marketers and researchers with a diagnostic tool to assess service quality from the perspectives of customers to meet the customer’s expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to consider the nonlinear impact of online retail stores’ quality dimensions on general customer satisfaction and loyalty. Design/methodology/approach – Using a quantitative approach, 429 online users answered a closed questionnaire regarding their present satisfaction with 26 service attributes, their general satisfaction and loyalty. Using factorial analysis with Varimax rotation, five service-quality dimensions are studied: service accessibility/speed, fault recovery, buying reliability, service and site flexibility and site interaction/feedback. Penalty and reward contrast analysis identifies the Kano model classification of the service-quality dimensions, and the nonlinear impact of these dimensions, and customer satisfaction, on customer loyalty. Findings – The results show that there is a nonlinearity between quality dimensions, customer satisfaction and loyalty. The dimension “service accessibility/speed” has a one-dimensional impact on customer satisfaction, but with higher reward impact than penalty impact. “Fault recovery” is a “must-be”, “buying reliability” and “service flexibility” are “attractive” and “site interaction/feedback” is one-dimensional. Besides, the dimension “service accessibility/speed” has also a direct impact on loyalty if achieving above-average performance, thus reinforcing general customer satisfaction. Originality/value – Few previous papers explore this nonlinearity in online retail services. So, future studies should lead to a theoretical and practical understanding of managing these services. Understanding this nonlinearity may help companies to better identify what improve or offer to customers.

Purpose In the present competitive scenario in the Indian banking industry, service quality has become one of the most important facets of interest to academic researchers. The purpose of this paper is to determine the dimensions of perceived service quality and investigate their impact on customer satisfaction in the Indian banking context, with special reference to selected public sector banks in India. Design/methodology/approach On the basis of the empirical study, the authors validate a measurement model using structural equation modeling for investigating the impact of perceived service quality dimensions on customer satisfaction. The study sample consists of 480 respondents in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India; the data were collected through a structured questionnaire utilizing a seven-point Likert scale while implementing a purposive sampling technique. Findings The perceived service quality dimensions identified were tangibility, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, empathy, and image. The empirical findings revealed that “responsiveness” was found to be the most significant predictor of customer satisfaction. On the other hand, “image” (corporate image) has a positive but the least significant relationship with customer satisfaction followed by all other constructs. The exception is “reliability,” which is insignificantly related to customer satisfaction in Indian public sector banks. Research limitations/implications The study cannot be generalized in the context of Indian banking sectors, as it only focused on the public sector. The findings of this study suggest that the six dimensions of perceived service quality model are a suitable instrument for evaluating bank service quality for public banks in India. Therefore, bank managers can use this model to assess the bank service quality in the context of Indian public sector banks. Originality/value There is dearth of research focusing on corporate image as a dimension of perceived service quality and its effect on customer satisfaction in the Indian banking context. Furthermore, similar studies were rarely found in the Indian context, especially within the public banking sector. Hence, this paper attempts to accomplish the research gap by empirically testing the satisfaction level of a large sample of the population in NCR toward six dimensions of perceived service quality rendered by selected public sector banks in India.

Research to analyze customer satisfaction at optimal postal parcel delivery service at PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Branch Pontianak. Dimension-imensi examined are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. This study used survey methods, data collection techniques, namely: observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation study. Samples used as many as 100 people by using purposive sampling. analysis using Cartesian diagram. The results of this study indicate that the majority of respondents were satisfied with the service of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Branch Pontianak with an average satisfaction level of 3.91 and the value of the average rate of interest of 4.34 dimension of service quality the most satisfied customers is assurance dimension and physical evidence, where the majority of respondents' votes are in quadrant B, which means that the interest and customer satisfaction are at a high level and in accordance with the wishes of the consumer. Dimensional quality of services that they are in quadrant A, which means the consumer is not satisfied then it should be further enhanced by the company. While the dimensions of the quality of services that are in quadrant C and D in which the interests of consumers are at a low level is considered normal practice even though consumers are satisfied because it is not very important.Keywords: Satisfaction, Service Quality Dimensions Services
