Issues of supporting the book publishing as an economic activity by a set of statistical indicators are investigated. It is found out that the existing set of statistical indicators does not meet the needs of researchers and practitioners, which is the case of not only Ukraine, but the global book publishing area. The case of the Ukrainian book publishing is taken for analysis to identify core problems faced by this industry. It is emphasized that a comprehensive study of the book publishing industry and presentation of the statistical information with high level of quality and aggregation requires the involvement of new alternative sources of data, of which big data should be highlighted. The component of scientific novelty is that an updated system of statistical indicators is proposed for the first time, with eight modules of sources of statistical information as alternative ones: questionnaires, electronic books, digital libraries, websites of publishers and bookstores, electronic diaries of reading (Goodreads as an example), social networks (Instagram, Facebook, Telegram (open channels)), video hosts (YouTube being the most popular one), and blogs. It is stressed that all the modules of alternative data must be involved for obtaining reliable data, where output data will be processed anew and have direct and reverse links, which will require the use of neural networks with efferent type of links. This statistical support to the book publishing industry is an innovation designed to meet urgent needs of the public and official statistics.

Digital libraries are a way to cost effective Reading resources for school librarians. They can build Reading Communities through digital libraries. A case study of G.D.Goenka Schools in India will be presented in the paper. The current economic trends in the Information and Publishing industry will be examined and how school librarians are affected. Digital Libraries as reading resources are a new paradigm that may help to meet the economic parameters of the institutions. The paper will compare digital Reading resources with traditional reading resources and It will establish that 21st century learner is truly digital native and is very confident and comfortable with technology and online reading. It will also be emphasized that it is the format, which is changing, and not the content or its importance. The main goal of this paper is to show how school librarians can adopt strategies to use free digital reading Resources to build reading communities of young and young adult students by providing case studies and a Tool-Kit used by the school.

The aim of the present paper is the study of the action performed by the publishing industry in the context of the transposition into digital format of printed books comprising a Latin American and Caribbean literary corpus. The designed corpus includes works and authors labelled as a Latin American segment of the Western Canon, in addition to those segments provided by feminist, queer, postcolonial, and/or decolonization critical theories. It is described/defined the digital ecosystem to which the corpus is transposed as well as some of the strategies implemented by the major e-book trade platforms and the main digital libraries to offer Latin American and Caribbean literature transposed into digital format.

Likewise, a reading extended to the influence of the postcolonial turn is proposed by considering cartonera publishing as a device of the postcolonial turn but, this time, widening the range of typographic forms as well as the postcolonial effect on the publishing field.

By now, it is a commonplace of the American religious scene that the majority of the nation's white Protestant Christians are split into “two parties.” The ideological dividing line runs between “mainline” denominations—Methodists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians—and a bevy of conservative denominations and groups, but it also cuts through the mainline itself, which contains a substantial contingent of conservatives.Among the two parties' numerous disagreements, theological and political, few have run deeper and longer than their difference over the meaning and importance of evangelism, the activity of “proclaiming the gospel” to those outside the Christian community. Is the church's prime call in this regard to seek conversions to the Christian faith, or is it to show the love of Christ by working for charitable goals and social justice? A well-known 1973 study of Presbyterian clergy found that the greatest polarization between self-described “conservatives” and “liberals” came over the relative priority of evangelism and social action. Indeed, the fight over these goals was an important (though by no means the only) factor precipitating the “split” early in this century.
