Coronavirus (COVID-19) was recognized in late December in Hubei province of Wuhan city in China. This highly contagious disease, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), is transmitted from humans to humans. After the first case in Wuhan, the disease rapidly spread to other parts of the globe. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) made an assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic. Thus, social-distancing became an important measure to stop the spread of this disease. Various countries across the world adopted nationwide lockdowns. This led to a completely new scenario for the world, where every business in each industry faced new challenges and witnessed new opportunities. Similarly, the medical personal protective industry, a vital part of the healthcare sector, also witnessed new growth opportunities.

Background: 4.0 industrial revolution raises new challenges for nurses to stay up to date on science knowledge by utilizing information technology advances. This is because science is the basis of nurses in making the best nursing care for patients. Methods: Literature review of 25 journals from Science Direct, PROQUEST, Scopus, and Scholar Article in 2014 to 2018. Results: Some results of the study show that the use of e-learning in providing education of nurses can increase knowledge to nurses' caring behavior in providing nursing care, and one of the e-learning devices in the hospital is a webinar. Conclusion: E-learning provides opportunities for nurses to gain knowledge through the use of electronic systems. One of the e-learning devices in the hospital that can be used as a reference when nurses want to study is webinar. Not only nurses who work at the hospital who can get benefits from webinar, but so do nurses in other health services. Although facilities and infrastructure are inadequate in an HR hospital, but nurses can intelligently use webinar as a source to gain knowledge.

Objective: to identify how the issues related to client’s privacy in the provision of caring at intensive care have been addressed by nurses. Methods: this is an exploratory review research, about the scientific production of nursing on the privacy of client critical in intensive care. We considered articles published from 1996 to 2008, using the descriptors: Caution, Privacy, Body exposure, Nursing and Intensive care. The results were analyzed and discussed in a Multireferenciality context. Results: the client’s privacy at intensive care seems to be still, a nurse's concern, which may have ethical and legal implications and techniques, thus compromising the nursing of care and giving room for it to be labeled as inhumane. Conclusion: the study has implications for the practice of care that need to be discussed among the nurses. We must think not only the importance of the rationality of technical and scientific knowledge as foundations and cornerstones of the nursing care in intensive care, but also the subjectivity that is closed in all the actions of caring. Descriptors: privacy; nursing care; intensive therapy.

The appeal for new business models is at high level nowadays in all market sectors involving all economic agents. Dealing with classical, non-responsive, bureaucratic structures, traditional organizational arrangements impose delays on management, ineffective control features, and, more critical, limitations to innovate. In this chapter, the authors analyze the proposition for new business models with the consideration of two huge pressuring motivations: to innovate in the healthcare sector and adopt emerging technologies. Both dimensions brought opportune facts for business models development and application, but, with an immense and uncontrolled dynamicity, also produced a confused, turbulent scenario where the academic and scientific knowledge, always demanded, was not developed and communicated efficiently. To address this imperfect scenario, the authors present their reflections around perspectives on building and applying business models supported by emerging technologies for the healthcare sector, offering a background to foster these discussions in further studies and decision-making contexts.

Despite being a new area of scientific knowledge, Bioethics has developed two main references that alternate temporally: a more global Ethics, as the one defended by Potter, and the Georgetown model, which was limited to the issue of Medical Ethics, revitalizing the practical Ethics. In the last decades, a widening of Bioethics is being followed up and it came to be recognized as a new transdisciplinary discipline that is inseparable from concerns about the environment. The advancements of Genetics and the creation of Epigenetics opened new paths to Bioethics. The interaction between the environment and the structure of DNA became known, but modifications that can be passed on to the offspring without affecting the structure of the DNA were also discovered. This paper is dedicated to the analysis of the changes that can hereditarily be passed on to future generations through the interference of the environment, from Rachel Yehuda et al’s recent article: Holocaust exposure induced intergenerational effects on FKBP5 methylation. Yehuda’s study allowed for a glimpse over what unfolds for the future of Bioethics, its new challenges and issues and it also evidenced the fact that health and environment are in constant and inseparable connection.
