One of the important affective factors for students in mathematics learning is self-efficacy. The students should have high mathematics self-efficacy. So, it can support the success of learning process. The facts that indicated the low of students’ mathematics self-efficacy, encouraging the efforts to improve self-efficacy through the improvement of the learning process. One of them is by applying the problem based learning approach. This research was a classroom action research by applying problem based learning approach to improve students’ mathematics self-efficacy. The classroom action research was done in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The findings of this research revealed that the problem based learning approach could improve student’s mathematics self-efficacy. At the end of the first cycle, the students’ mathematics self-efficacy was still in the medium category and increased at the end of the second cycle, which students’ mathematics self-efficacy has been in high category.

The main problem in this study is the lack of mathematical creative thinking abilities of elementary school students in Cimahi, Indonesia. This lack of mathematical creative thinking abilities is caused by an incorrect learning process. The teacher does not direct students to think creatively. In fact students still depend a lot on what is explained by the teacher in the class. The learning process with problem-based learning that is aided by hawgent dynamic mathematic software can direct students to think creatively. The population in this study were all elementary school students in Cimahi city. The samples were the students of elementary school Cimahi class 3A and 3B.  The instrument in this study is descriptive test of students creative thinking abilities. This instrument was used to obtain data about students' creative thinking abilities with problem-based learning approach using hawgent dynamic mathematic software and by conventional learning. The data processed in this study was from the post-test score. These scores from both of the experimental class group and the control class group. Then, the data was processed by using SPSS 19.0 and Microsoft Excel. The data was analyzed using t-test statistic. The final result of this study concluded the achievement and improvement of creative thinking abilities of students whose learning problem-based approach using hawgent dynamic mathematic software.

The learning improvement of physical education can be done through implementing learning approach which is suitable for 21st Century era. This research is a descriptive quantitative research which aims to describe the effectiveness of the hang style long jump learning using problem-based learning approach based on students’ learning outcomes and attitude in vocational high school context. The subject of the research were students of  X ATR 1 and X TKRO 1 students of SMKN 1 Cangkringan. The data were obtained from the result of observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and questionnaire of students’ attitudes towards learning. The result showed that hang style long jump learning using problem-based learning approach was effective based on students’ learning outcomes and learning attitudes. The passing students reached 100% for X ATR 1 students and 80,65% for X TKRO 1 students.  The students’ learning attitudes towards physical education subject in the category of minimum more than 80% high were 100% for X ATR 1 students and 90.32% for X TKRO 1 students.

Siswa aktif merespon pertanyaan guru, mengemukakan alasan, menjelaskan kepada teman, mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok dan membuat kesimpulan Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Akidah Akhlak Abstract [Tittle: Improving Student’ Activity In Akidah Akhlak Course Through Problem Based Learning Approach]. This research was aimed to improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak through Problem Based Learning (PBL)at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi city. This was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was the third year students of MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi that consisted of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and field note. The data then was analyzed descriptively. The result of the research showed that the use of PBL approach could improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. After applying PBL approach, the students had a willingness to answer teacher’s questions, give opinions and plain them to the peers, present the result of the discussion and take conclusion. The Cal Poly philosophy of “Learn and Understand by Doing” has been integrated with problem-based learning and the use of the latest technology to produce a class that closely simulates real-life pest control situations. Goals of the class, Disease and Pest Control Systems for Ornamental Plants, are to teach students pest monitoring, control and problem solving techniques, the use of resources including the internet and journals, and the use of the latest pest control equipment and application techniques. Students are shown pest situations and then work in groups to diagnose the problem, investigate management strategies, apply control measures, and monitor results. Weekly class presentations inform the class of the various projects and help to teach the class organization and presentation skills. Student evaluations and test performance have demonstrated that students achieve class objectives substantially better with the problem-based learning approach than with the previous lecture-based approach to the class.

Innovation is needed in learning to make meaningful learning, so the student constructs their ownknowledge from the learning experience of learning process. One of the innovations is to integrate Problem Based Learning model. Problem Based Learning involves students to be active in every problem. Eleven problems type in Problem Based Learning that have different solving steps, due to every student different metacognition character potential and can change by given treatment. This research is a pre-experimental design: the pretest-posttest control and experimental group design with embedded experimental design. The metacognition character data were analyzed qualitaively, whereas the average grade data were analyzed quantitatively. The analysis of metacognition character shows the different metacognition characters and on learning process there is improvement of student achievement from 14% to 84.4%.
