Innovation is recognize as a matter of survival and success to firms and technological capabilities can lead to an innovative behavior by using technological resources and competences. The literature about technological capability and innovation is vast, counting on several approaches and a large number of researchers involved within. Based on this, our aim is to use a bibliometrics approach to map out the authors, institutions, journals and the evolution of the publication as well, to provide the path needed to build a theoretical framework about the theme. We held this research on the Scopus database using a standard search protocol to perform the selection of the sample. Our results indicates an emerging field of study and a large number papers and citations concentrated in few journals. Most cited authors are related to seminal works on the subject and most cited papers are ones from late 90’s and early 2000.

The Introduction provides an overview of the central questions and the theoretical framework of the book. Since the early 1990s in Europe and the United States many artists critically re-appropriated religious, motifs, themes and images to produce works that cannot qualify as ‘religious,’ but remains in a dialogue with the visual legacy of mostly the Western, and more specifically the Catholic, version of Christianity. Present-day art does not embed religious images to celebrate them, but in order to pose critical questions concerning central aspects of the rules that regulate the status of images, their public significance, the conditions of their production and authorship, and their connection to an origin or tradition, a context or an author that guarantees their value. The motif of the true image or acheiropoietos (not made by a human hand) is related to central set of features that allow distinguishing between regimes or eras of the image. Its transformations provide a conceptual matrix for understanding of the reconfiguring relationships between art and religion. The introduction provides an overview of the theoretical context, the selection of artworks, bibliography on the subject and the chapters of the book.

The article discusses a new field of study of psychology of time through the prism of a very important but still little studied problem: procrastination as putting off work or activities in time. We present the chronology of studies of the phenomenon of procrastination in retrospect in foreign and Russian psychology. We also provide various definitions of the phenomenon of procrastination and reveal the nature and content of the new time mode from the perspective of behavioral, cognitive, psychodynamic approaches and integrative theory of time motivation. The article highlights the main types of procrastination and procrastinators, describes the forms and components of procrastination, as well as its predictors and consequences. Basing on the existing research, we outline the theoretical framework of procrastination and specify its differences from the phenomenon of laziness and perfectionism. Further explorations of the phenomenon of procrastination can be aimed at identifying the consequences of procrastination, as in its negative impact on activity, as and its positive implications referring to self-efficacy and self-realization of the subject in a competitive environment.

Web of Science. América Latina.ABSTRACTErgonomics in Brazil has been reaching prominence in recent years, consolidating itself as an important area of knowledge and attracting a growing number of researchers. However, there is still a gap regarding the understanding of the participation of Brazilian researchers in the international context, in particular regarding the registration of their productions in scientific bases with wide global scope. With this in mind, this paper presents a quantitative survey of Brazilian researchers featured in international journals between 2000 and 2019. To this end, a bibliometric survey is developed considering publications related to the subject Ergonomics hosted in bases with wide international reach in the last 19 years, and produced by Brazilian authors linked to Brazilian institutions. This survey took place in repository bases with recognized prominence between January and October 2019 months and involved the selection of information through Boolean operators. It is evident from the identified production that Brazil has been gaining strength in recent years regarding to academic production in the global scope and focusing on Ergonomics. Despite its position regarding the productions coming from the main current economies, the country assumes a prominence as protagonist of the Ergonomics area in Latin America. Virtually all of the international academic production in this area emerges through Brazilian authors from public and federal universities, which can highlight the importance of these institutions as environments of academic production and as potential protagonists for the consolidation of Brazil as a representative country in research in this field. of knowledge. Keywords: Ergonomics. The kinematic synthesis of planar motion generators in the presence of an incomplete set of finitely separated poses is the subject of this paper. Given that the planar rigid-body guidance problem in the realm of four-bar linkage synthesis can be solved exactly for up to five prescribed poses of the coupler link, any number of poses smaller than five is considered incomplete in this paper. The poses completing the set are determined so as to produce a robust linkage against variations in the unspecified poses. To this end, a theoretical framework for model-based robust design is invoked and a general methodology for robust kinematic synthesis is laid down. Robustness is needed in this context to overcome the presence of uncertainty due to the selection of the unprescribed poses, which many a time are left up to the mechanism designer’s judgment. To validate the concepts and illustrate the application of the methodology proposed here, an example is included.

The recent reprinting of Álvaro de Silva’s 1998 edition of a selection of More’s letters prompts the author to examine the subject of Spanish translations of More, and of de Silva’s general commentary on More’s correspondence and on his relationship to other humanists. The author reflects on aspects of More’s personality as exposed in his letters and uses what he finds as a corrective to several biographical misconceptions. He points out the strengths and weaknesses of de Silva’s work and compares it with that of other translators, particularly Elizabeth Rogers, and notes the particularly Spanish quality of de Silva’s edition.

Content management is an organisational effort of managing content, particularly in digital format. Although it has been over 25 years since content management was introduced, this field of study is still considered an emerging topic with unresolved issues-in particular, the subject of benefit achievement. Therefore, grounded on an extensive review of 135 articles, the purpose of this study is to investigate the benefits that organisations can gain through the proper use of an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS). Subsequently, this paper identifies a list of ECMS benefits and proposes an ECMS benefit framework for further exploration into this field. Our result shows that although ECMS does bring benefits to organisations, these benefits are diverse; indicating that there are certain determinants or factors influencing the achievement of such benefits. Moreover, it is also found that in the context of the benefit framework of Shang and Seddon [10], three categories were found relevant to the field of content management: operational benefit, managerial benefit, and strategic benefit.

This review is devoted to the monograph by Jan Nedvěd “We do not decline our heads. The events of the year 1968 in Karlovy Vary”. The Karlovy Vary municipal museum coincided its publishing with the fiftieth anniversary of the Prague spring which, considering the way of the presentation, turned the book not only to scientific event but also to the social one. The book describes sociopolitical trends in the region before the year 1968, the development of the reformist movement, the invasion and advance of the armies of the Warsaw Pact countries, and finally the decline of the reformist mood and the beginning of the normalization. Working on his writing, the author deeply studied the materials of the local archive and gathered the unique selection of the photographs depicting the passage of the soviet army through the spa town and the protest actions of its inhabitants. In the meantime, Nedvěd takes undue freedom with scientific terms, and his selection of historiography raises questions. The author bases his research on the Czech papers and scarcely uses the books of Russian origin. He also did not study the subject of the participating of the GDR’s army in the operation Danube, although these troops were concentrated on the borders of Karlovy Vary region as well. Because of this decision, there are no materials from German archives or historiography in the monograph. In general, the work lacks the width of studying its subject, but it definitively accomplishes the task of depicting the Prague spring from the regional perspective.

Organizing and Reorganizing Markets is an edited volume that brings organization theory to the study of markets. The differences between markets and organizations are often exaggerated. Both are organized. Organizing exists in addition to other processes and phenomena that form markets: the mutual adaption among sellers and buyers as described in mainstream economics and the institutions described in institutional economics and economic sociology. Market organization can be analysed with the same type of theories used for analysing organization within formal organizations. Through the use of many empirical examples, the book demonstrates how this can be done. We argue that the way a certain market is organized can be understood as the (intermediate) result of previous organizing processes. We discuss such questions as ‘What drives market organizing and reorganizing processes? What makes various organizations intervene as market organizers? And how are the specific contents of market organization determined?’ The answers to these questions help us to analyse similarities and differences among organizing processes in formal organizations and those in markets. The arguments are illustrated by in-depth studies of many types of markets. The book is intended to open up markets as a field of study for scholars of organization. Although the chapters have different authors, they use and elaborate upon the same general theoretical framework. The book contributes to the issue of organization outside and among organizations where a fundamental concept is that of partial organization.

This book offers a study of the subject matter protected by each of the main intellectual property (IP) regimes. With a focus on European and UK law particularly, it considers the meaning of the terms used to denote the objects to which IP rights attach, such as ‘invention’, ‘authorial work’, ‘trade mark’, and ‘design’, with reference to the practice of legal officials and the nature of those objects specifically. To that end it proceeds in three stages. At the first stage, in Chapter 2, the nature, aims, and values of IP rights and systems are considered. As historically and currently conceived, IP rights are limited (and generally transferable) exclusionary rights that attach to certain intellectual creations, broadly conceived, and that serve a range of instrumentalist and deontological ends. At the second stage, in Chapter 3, a theoretical framework for thinking about IP subject matter is proposed with the assistance of certain devices from philosophy. That framework supports a paradigmatic conception of the objects protected by IP rights as artifact types distinguished by their properties and categorized accordingly. From this framework, four questions are derived concerning: the nature of the (categories of) subject matter denoted by the terms ‘invention’, ‘authorial work’, ‘trade mark’, ‘design’ etc, including their essential properties; the means by which each subject matter is individuated within the relevant IP regime; the relationship between each subject matter and its concrete instances; and the manner in which the existence of a subject matter and its concrete instances is known. That leaves the book’s final stage, in Chapters 3 to 7. Here legal officials’ use of the terms above, and understanding of the objects that they denote, are studied, and the results presented as answers to the four questions identified previously.
