Based on the principle of coupled cooperation, the article identifies indicators from the perspective of industrial clusters, uses the principal component analysis to extract the effective coupling indicators of military-and-civilian integration industry and regional economic development and builds a model for the coupling coordination between the two. Taking the aerospace manufacturing industry in Shaanxi Province as an example, the article finds that the coupling degree between the aerospace manufacturing industry in Shaanxi Province and the regional economy has been increasing year by year, gradually shifting from disordered development to orderly evolution. Finally, based on empirical conclusions, relevant recommendations are given.

This paper examined the relationships among firms in a rapidly growing specialized industrial cluster—the Chery automotive cluster located in the Wuhu Economic and Technology Development in eastern China. After demonstrating how the Chery automotive cluster contributed to sustainable regional economic development, it focused on defining the roles that major firms play in the localized production network. Based on three attributes of the firm (network linkages, network position, and network power), the study identified a typology of firms’ role, including the dominant core, lead firms, gatekeepers, intermediaries, club of foreigners, peripherals, and loners. By revealing the heterogeneity of the firms and discussing the differing roles they play in the network, the paper made some policy recommendations to promote the sustainable development of the cluster, including providing policy supports to core firms, encouraging inter-firm networking and interaction, and diversifying the cohort of gatekeepers.

<p class="Abstract"><em></em><em>Eco-efficiency is suitable to be applied on </em><em>batik production</em><em> cluster</em><em>,</em><em> because it can </em><em>synergize</em><em> economic and environmental aspects. Application of eco-efficiency will lead to competitiveness, environmental sustainability, and quality of life better. Batik Laweyan cluster is a cluster that not only has great potential in regional economic development but also potentially pollute the environment. Application of eco-efficiency in an industrial cluster can be seen from the value chain that occurs. Eco-efficiency also cannot be applied without the aid of relevant stakeholders and cluster activities such as collective efficiency.</em></p>

Taking Wuhu City of Anhui Province as an example, this paper constructs two evaluation index systems of tourism industry and regional economic development respectively, and studies the coupling coordination situation and influencing factors of Wuhu City from 2015 to 2019 by using the coupling coordination degree model. The research shows that the comprehensive development level of Wuhu tourism industry and regional economy system has been steadily improved year by year in the past five years. Coupling degree C showed an up-down trend, but was generally at a high level. The comprehensive development level T of the two systems is also in an increasing trend. By 2019, the coupling coordination degree of the tourism-industry system in Wuhu has been upgraded from good coordination to high quality coordination. In the future development process, Wuhu City should continue to promote GDP growth on the basis of the current good development situation, and realize the win-win situation between tourism and regional economic development.

The sustainable development of the water–energy–food (WEF) system has gained global attention as a result of limited land resources, inadequate energy supply and growing water stress. Coordination degree is an important indicator to measure the sustainable development of the WEF system. Improving the coordination degree contributes to the sustainable development of the WEF system and affects regional economic development. The extended Cobb–Douglas function is applied to examine the relationship between coordination degree of the WEF system and regional economic development in 31 provinces of China during the period of 2007–2018. By using the system generalized method of moments (GMM) estimation, empirical results indicate that in the regions with low coordination degree, improved coordination degree of the WEF system will hinder regional economic growth. In the regions with high coordination degree, it will promote regional economic growth. The results indicate that there is a lag period for the influence of improved coordination degree on regional economic growth. When making resources management policies, shortening the lag period is conducive to achieving sustainable development and promoting regional economic development. Governments of various regions should formulate different resource management policies based on the conditions of each region and the different relationships between coordination degree of the WEF system and regional economic development.

Sentra induslri (industrial cluster) has significant contribution to the aim of regional economic development to empower by providing job and utilizing local assets. To promote sentra industri, local government can develop participation, economic freedom, and economic satisfaction to the economic agents in sentra industri. However, the problem lies in their culture of proyek'
