The use of fundamental corporate finance principles as well as the combination of their effects does not always contribute to the same performance effects and firms’ growth. It can considerably vary in certain periods, market turbulences and various industries. Referring to the permanent need for exploration of the individual and integrated effects of the corporate finance principles on firms’ growth in specific circumstances, on the one hand, and particular importance of wood industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), on the other, in this paper we examine the extent to which corporate finance principles support wood industry growth in B&H. Specifically, the aim of this research is to investigate the contribution of investments, financial leverage and dividend policy to the growth of firms in this particular industry. Furthermore, the compliance of the paper findings with theoretical concepts and expectations of corporate finance principles role arises as the additional research challenge. Finally, we are interested to find out if the empirical results provide a solid base to apply consistent incentives policy that may further stimulate wood industry growth in B&H. We select all wood-processing firms in B&H from 2008 to 2016. Stata 15 is applied in the empirical analyses and calculations.

The author uses longitudinal data to study the effects of industry growth and decline on wage changes between 1976 and 2001. He finds that over this period, workers who were initially in industries that subsequently expanded enjoyed faster wage growth than other workers. Moreover, wage growth was strongly related to employment changes in industries the individual was likely to move to: that is, workers' wage growth tended to be relatively fast if their skills suited them for entry into rapidly expanding industries, whether or not they actually moved between industries. The author uses the estimates to evaluate the effects of industry demand changes on within-cohort relative wages during the 1980s. He finds that changes in industrial composition can account for most of the within-cohort increase in the wages of women relative to men and about 30–50% of the increase in the relative wages of more educated groups within cohorts.

Vertical equity states that taxpayers whose positions are not the same should be treated differently while taking into consideration all the relevant characteristics. The main purpose of using the vertical equity principle is to require the redistribution of income in a way that reduces the income inequality of the society. The presented research aims to check the opinion of Slovenian tax system professionals on the principle of vertical equity. Slovenian results have been compared to a similar analysis carried out in Croatia, and partly with survey results from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America. The results show that the professional public agrees with the principle of vertical equity in the implementation of tax systems. All of the compared countries are similarly favourable towards vertical equity. However, this is also affected by the current tax arrangements of the individual countries.

When reading the article’s title, it is important to emphasize the role and importance of the Institution of the Ombudsman for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the most important national institution for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. Consequently, according to the logic of thinking, it can be clearly concluded that the most important segment of action, above mentioned national institution, is to prevent or eliminate all forms of indirect and direct discrimination. Accordingly, the author decided, in addition to introductory and concluding considerations, to divide the article into four (4) parts. The first part of the article entitled “Theoretical Determination of Discrimination” provides general information on the concept, different forms and types of discrimination in accordance with the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Unlike the first, in the second part of the article “The Role of the Ombudsman in the Probation of Discrimination Proceedings”, the Ombudsman aims to present the legal position of the ombudsman in court proceedings, with the mandatory indication of the conditions for initiating the proceedings on his own behalf, representing the individual and intervening in the ongoing proceedings. Through practical examples, the author seeks to emphasize the importance, role and importance of the ombudsman in court proceedings. Subsequently, in the third part of the “Role of Courts in the Probation of Discrimination Proceedings”, the author concentrates that, by using the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination, he presents court judgments that discriminate the education system of the Central Bosnia and Herzegovina Canton (non) discriminatory on the basis of the existing segregation in so called. “Two schools under one roof”. Thus, this section primarily analyzes the rejection of the aforementioned claims. Finally, in the fourth (working) section entitled “The Probation of Discrimination Proceeding before the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, the author presents positive and negative examples in the work of the Supreme Court of FBiH, and above all clarifies the process of proving discrimination before this court instance. The aim of this paper is to investigate the legal background of the Institution of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as judicial instances from the aspect of domestic (national) law, while, on the other hand, special attention is devoted to the actions of the FBiH Supreme Court in cases of discrimination.

A framework for flutter operability assessment, based upon a new set of similarity parameters, has been developed. This set consists of four parameters which embrace both the performance characteristics in terms of corrected mass flow and corrected speed, and the flight condition in terms of inlet temperature and density (or, equivalently, inlet pressure). It is shown that a combined mass-damping parameter, g/ρ*, novel in the field of turbomachinery aeroelasticity, can summarize the individual effects of mechanical damping, g, and blade mass ratio, μ. A particular selection of four nondimensional parameters, including g/ρ* and a compressible reduced frequency parameter, K*, allows for a decoupling of corrected performance effects from purely aeroelastic effects, for a given machine and a specific modeshape. This view of flutter operability is applied to the analysis of full-scale engine data. The data exhibits the trend that increasing K* and increasing g/ρ* have stabilizing effects, which is consistent with previous work in flutter stability. We propose that these trends hold generally, and apply the trends towards constructing a flutter clearance methodology, a test procedure which satisfies the requirements for comprehensive flutter stability testing.

Low noise with wood milling"airface" constructions. The noise surrounds us everywhere, constituting a disruptive component of our lives. In the wood industry it is more than in other industries due to the specificity of wood processing carried out by high-speed tools. GUS data say that in 2012 as many as 53% of employees worked in noise. Hence the necessity of constant search for new methods of noise reduction. One of them is the use of a grooved surface patterned on the plumage of owls in the construction of milling heads. Their characteristic construction makes the flight of owls almost silent. this is possible due to the special construction of ailerons, which form the bearing surface of the wing. The "owl's wing" smoothes the air flow with a serrated edge and scatters the noise. This allows for almost silent flight characteristics without adversely affecting aerodynamics. Leuco has used this concept of learning from nature to make the milling tools even more aerodynamic, and to get further noise reduction effects! Leuco has submitted a patent for this aerodynamic head design called "airface".

Wood processing plants in Poland are recipients of more than 50% of round wood, which is delivered by the State Forests National Forest Holding. Thus playing a crucial role in the technological processing of raw material for all other wood industry branches. Each group of recipients has individual needs and expectations concerning the quality of the raw material such as, its type and the size of the cross-sections of the assortment used for further production. Therefore, it is economically justified for small production plants to abandon the production of narrow groups of assortments, which usually meets the standards of timber for general purposes. The aim is to make wood processing more flexible and lower the quality of raw material to produce assortments for a specific branches of the wood industry. Wood processing experiments were conducted to produce laths for construction purposes. These materials are one of the most important elements of roof constructions. The research proved empirically that it was possible to produce quality class 1 laths (88% of all laths produced) from WC0 class pinewood used as the input raw material and that the quantitative efficiency exceeded 55%.

The article will deal with psychological and theoretical concepts of the mass consciousness’s formation, which belong to the work of outstanding Russian scientists late XIX — early XX centuries: N. Mikhailovsky, A.A. Bogdanov, N.I. Kareyev, L. Petrazhitsky, I.A. Ilyin, P.A. Sorokin and V.M. Bechterew. These scientists created the fundamentals of the psychoanalytic mass consciousness’s theory, substantiate its basic theoretical positions. Within the framework of the socio-psychological analysis, they posed fundamental problems: on the existence of a collective consciousness of a group different from the individual consciousness, but that collective consciousness, in turn, to a certain degree is created, about the nature and essential collective consciousness’s content, about its formation’s mechanism, functioning and development. In the opinion of prominent Russian scientists, the basis for such a mechanism is mental processes suggestion, infection and imitation. They also reveal the characteristics of possible forms of communicative interaction in the conditions of the elemental masses emergence.
