The present study is an attempt to measure the effectiveness of using flipped classroom strategy in academic achievement and self-efficacy among female students of College of Education, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), Saudi Arabia. The study adopted the experimental method based on the two experimental and control groups, where the experimental group was taught through flipped classroom strategy, while the control group taught in the traditional way. Two tools were applied in this study: (Achievement Test and Self-Efficacy Scale). The sample consisted of two groups: one group is experimental and the other is control, both studying the course of (Classroom Management) in the first semester for the academic year 2016/2017. The results showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the post achievement test, as well as having a positive correlation between the students’ post achievement test and their attitudes towards self-efficacy scale; indicating that the more scores the students get in achievement test, the more self-efficacy they have. In the light of the results, some recommendations have been made.

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on the six Thinking hats in the academic achievement in the Arabic language in the seventh primary students in Jordan. The study used the semi-experimental method on a sample of 60 students randomly distributed to two control and experimental groups, The achievement test was carried out in both groups. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05 = α) between the experimental and control group averages for the experimental group. This means that the six hats were used to raise the level of achievement among the seventh grade students in the Arabic language compared to the normal method.

This study aimed at investigating the effect of flipped classroom strategy on the academic achievement in the subject of science among fourth grade students in Jordan. The study population consists of all fourth grade students in the Directorate of Private Education in Amman area, totaling 2134 students during the second semester of the academic year 2015-2016. The study sample consists of 44 male and female students who were chosen purposely from the study population. The study sample was distributed into two groups: the experimental group that consisted of 22 students, who has studied according to flipped classroom strategy, and the control group that consisted of 22 students, who has studied in the ordinary method. To achieve the objectives of the study, an achievement test was prepared and its validity and reliability were checked. ANCOVA, Means, and Standard Deviations were used to analyze the collected research data. The study deduced the following results: 1) There are statistically significant differences in the Means on the educational achievement test attributed to the teaching strategy, in favor of the members of the experimental group, and 2) there are no statistically significant differences in the Means on the academic achievement test attributed to gender. In light of the findings, the study recommended encouraging science teachers to teach students using teaching strategies emanated from the use of modern technologies, particularly the flipped classroom strategy. In addition, the study suggested that colleges of education should train prospective teachers on the use of teaching strategies stemming from modern educational theories and strategies such as the flipped classroom strategy during the period of preparing them to teach. Furthermore, the study recommended re-applying this experience and identifying its effectiveness at other schools stages and other subjects in other content areas.

The study sought to identify the effect of using differentiated instruction in the achievement of biology among ninth grade students. population of this study (25) students was chosen for the control group and (25) students for the experimental group. During the first semester of (2021/2020). to achieve the objectives of this study, a biology achievement test was prepared. results showed that there were a statistically significant differences on achievement test in favor of the grades of the experimental group. this study recommended hiring differentiated teaching because of its effect on students’achievement.

The present study aimed to identify the effect of using electronic Mind Maps on the academic achievement of the fifth-grade primary female students in the English language curriculum compared to the traditional teaching method adopted in the teacher’s guide. It also aimed to indicate the attitudes of the fifth-grade female students towards the use of electronic Mind Maps in understanding the study unit adopted in this study. The study utilized the quasi-experimental method applied to two groups: experimental and control. The population of the study consisted of the fifth-grade of primary school female students, who studied in Ashbeelya Private School in Riyadh for the academic year 2016/2017, and the participants’ ages ranged from 10 to 12 years. The sample of the study is consisted of 30 fifth-grade female students, divided into experimental group (15 students) and control group (15 students). The study resulted that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control one in the post achievement test scale in favor of the experimental group. The effect size of using Mind Maps was high. There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control group scores in the post achievement test of the attitude towards learning English in favor of the experimental group.

The present study aimed to assess the effectiveness of using social communication networks in teaching geography to develop academic achievement and self-efficacy of college of education students. For achieving that, the researcher prepared a teaching guide, a test in academic achievement and a scale of self-efficacy in teaching. The study sample was (86) students, divided into two groups; the experimental group was (42) students and the control group was (44) students. The pre – test was conducted on both groups; experimental and control. The experimental group studied the course using social networks (Facebook) where the control group studied the course using the traditional method. Then, the post – test was conducted on both groups. The study results showed significant statistical differences between mean scores of the experimental group students and that of the control group students on the post test of the academic achievement test and the scale of self-efficacy in teaching in favor of the experimental group students. This suggests the effectiveness of using social communication networks in teaching geography to develop academic achievement and selfefficacy of college of education students.

To analyze how variability changes over time can enhance the understanding of how learners’ self-efficacy, motivation, and satisfaction is controlled and why differences might exist among groups of individuals. Therefore, this study compared the effect of variability on pre-service teacher students in the flipped classroom approach with a course named modern educational technology (MET). In total, 77 students in two groups participated in this study. Learners in the experimental group received the flipped classroom treatment. Learners in the control group received the traditional lecture-centered instructional approach. The learning outcomes were evaluated by practice assignment, transfer assignment, and student perception survey. The survey includes the evaluation of learning satisfaction, self-efficacy, and learning motivation. Pre-test and post-test were conducted by the two groups. The data analysis results applied analysis of variance (ANOVA) or analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and revealed that the experimental group displayed a better learning achievement than the control group. The experimental group participants’ perception also showed variability (i.e., learning satisfaction, self-efficacy, and learning motivation) was better than the control group. Considering the overall study results, the flipped classroom model can be applied in the pre-service teacher students’ modern educational technology course.

The aim of this study was to determine whether or not animation applications affect student achievement in science and technology course. For this purpose, effect of constructive approach supported by animations in the instruction of the unit “Living Organisms and Energy” to the 8th grade students on their academic achievement was investigated. This unit was taught to the experimental group using a constructivist approach supported by animations and to the control group using a constructivist approach without animations. For data collection, an achievement was developed and administered to experimental and control groups as pre-tests and post-tests. Collected data was analyzed using t-test and MANOVA. As a result of the research, it was revealed that supporting the constructivist approach with animations was more effective in increasing academic achievement. This study aimed to examine the impact of the use of self-questioning in the understanding of fifth grade students in mathematics material. The researcher used the experimental methodology for independent groups to investigate the impact of the independent variable, which is a self-questioning strategy on the dependent variable, which is understanding. The study sample consisted of 42 students from the fifth grade students from Khubayb bin Udai School in Riyadh; equally divided into two groups of 21 students in each group (experimental and control), and after making sure from groups' equivalence by applying the tools of the study, having been taught the experimental group by using self-questioning strategy, while the control group has been studied the unit by using the traditional method. After the completion of the study of prescribed content study, study tools (achievement test) were applied then. The results indicated to the presence of a statistically significant difference (at the significance level <0. 05) between the mean scores of the two groups' students (experimental and control) in achievement test posttest for the experimental group. Since the results of the study were positive in increasing the achievement, the researcher recommended the need to use self-questioning to raise the level of achievement of learners in mathematics material

    The present study aimed at uncovering the effectiveness of employing the enrichment activities for mental thinking on the development of mathematical thinking and achievement among Grade 7 students. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher used the semi experimental design known as the design of the control group with the tribal and remote tests. In light of the experimental design, the average Grade 7 students tested the sample of the study in the second semester of 30 students who were divided into 15 students for the experimental group and 15 students for the control group after checking the validity and stability of the tools. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the cognitive achievement test related to the unit of Engineering in the second semester and the mathematical thinking test for the average of the experimental group. The results also showed a statistically significant difference) between the average scores of the experimental group students in the tribal and remote applications in the cognitive achievement test and the mathematical thinking test, and in favor of the average post-implementation. In the light of these results, the study presented a number of recommendations and suggestions.   ، ، ، ،

<p>This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of creative thinking education on enhancing creative self-efficacy and cognitive motivation. The sample consisted of 44 female students studying childhood education in the Princess Alia University College divided into two groups (experimental and control). The experimental group was taught a unit in creative thinking whereas the control group was not. Data were collected using two tools; first, a creative self-efficacy scale that included two dimensions (self-efficacy in creative thinking and creative performance) and second, a cognitive motivation scale that included three dimensions (curiosity, discovery, and questioning). Data showed significant differences between experimental and control groups in creative self-efficacy and its dimensions, and also in cognitive motivation and two of its dimensions (curiosity and discovery) in favor of the experimental group. No significant difference was found between the two groups in questioning. We recommend embedding creative thinking education in study courses.</p>
