One of the most critical abilities that entrepreneurs of today’s business firms must have is strategic thinking (ST). Despite its role- rooted in full vision of entrepreneurial activities, especially the creation of new business projects, it has been ignored over the years in entrepreneurship (ENT) literature. This study seeks to explore if ST can promote ENT, and how with its dimensions - systems thinking (SsT), creative thinking (CT), and opportunism intelligence (OI), impacts the achievement of ENT in MG. For research purposes, a questionnaire including 26 questions was conducted. First, reliability analysis was implemented to identify and eliminate irrelevant variables. Also, the researcher used Kolmogroph - Esmirnov test to consider the normality of variables' distribution. Finally, to analyze the impact of ST and its dimension on the achievement of ENT, simple and multiple linear regressions were performed. In light of results, ST and its components has a significant positive impact on ENT achievement. The OI was the most significant positive impact. This research provides a missing gap in strategic management studies enables us to have more actual view of entrepreneurs and ENT. Directions for further research are also suggested.

The purpose of this research to describe implementation, efforts and the impact of entrepreneur's activities on the development of creative thinking students in MI Safeah Turen District. This qualitative study uses the instrument of research sheet, questionnaire and  documentation. Subject this study is the teacher, students class III and IV in MI Amanah Turen. Data analysis techniques in this study are a model of interaction analysis of data collection, reduction data, data presentation and conclusion withdrawals. The results show that the development of creative thinking of students through entrepreneur's activities is seen when students have a sense of confidence and to be brave in the delivery of ideas and promotion, the new product creations, forms, packaging with delicious, healthy, affordable prices and benign services. Entrepreneurial activities have a positive impact in the form of developing students' creative thinking which includes 4 aspects, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and detail.

This paper aims to investigate the impacts of customer orientation, competitor orientation, learning orientation, technology orientation, and entrepreneurial orientation on hotel innovation and performance. Data from 69 hotels in four Angolan provinces were analyzed using the partial least squares (PLS) approach and multi group analysis. The results show that learning and entrepreneurial orientations have a positive impact on hotel innovation. As anticipated, innovation has a positive impact on performance. According to the multigroup analysis, only the hotel category has a moderating effect on performance. Results suggest that hotels in developing countries could add value to both customers and shareholders by promoting new services and exploring new business opportunities. To the best of our knowledge, this is one of the few studies that has researched the impact of strategic orientation on hotel innovation and financial performance in developing countries.

The research aims to determine “the Impact of Scientific Creative Thinking Skills on Scientific Process Skills”. Thus, the research was performed with 24 teacher candidates in the control group and 24 teacher candidates in the experimental group in the second class of the Department of Science Teaching in a university in Istanbul Province. In the experimental group of the research, the laboratory program to be designed by the researchers on the basis of scientific discussion and research; and in the control group, the conventionally designed laboratory program were applied for an academic semester. The research data was gained through “Scientific Creativity Test” to be developed by Hu and Adey [14] and adapted by Kadayıfçı [16]; “Scientific Process Skills Test” to be developed by Okey, Wise and Burns, and adapted by Geban, Aşkar and Özkan into Turkish. The conclusions to be reached by the research are in favour of the experimental group and the last application, and it has positive impact on the opinions of the teacher candidates related with the development of the scientific creativity skills.

This paper analyzes the moderating effect of organizational climate on the relationship between absorptive capacity and knowledge integration. 183 survey data from 5 regions including Beijing is collected for empirical study using multiple linear regressions. The results show that absorptive capacity has a significantly positive impact on knowledge integration;organizational climate positively moderates the relationship between absorptive capacity and knowledge integration.

Rural entrepreneurial activities play an important role in the development of rural economies and the vitality of rural areas, and they can also contribute to an increase in the employment opportunities of farmers and environmental sustainability during China’s transitional period. As a local organization, the community connects individuals, collective agencies, local authorities, and the market in reforming rural economies in China. Based on the concepts of mixed embeddedness and on the database of the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), this paper uses a binary logistic regression (BLR) model to analyze the impact of social, institutional, and economic environments of rural communities on entrepreneurship. The finding shows that informal, entrepreneurship-oriented institutions in rural communities have more significantly positive impact on farmer entrepreneurship than formal institutions, as well as economic and social environments. Furthermore, compared with kinship, neighborhood relationships and weak ties based on the population mobility in rural communities are more important for farmer entrepreneurship. Additionally, rural communities are the production places and markets, and their economic levels are positively related to entrepreneurship. Last but not least, compared with urban communities, rural communities play a much more prominent role in local entrepreneurship.

This paper aims to analyzing the effect of strategic management accounting techniques on quality of financial information in private Jordanian universities in the capital, Amman. The study involves a questionnaire-based survey of dean and heads of department respondents from private Jordanian universities at Amman capital. A total of (212) valid questionnaire was finally obtained for analysis towards achieving the study objectives. Structural equation modeling was performed to understand the relationship between study variables. The results show that Benchmarking has a significant positive impact on Quality of Financial Information (Relevance, Understandability and Comparability). Value Chain Cost, also, has a significant positive impact on Quality of Financial Information (Relevance, Understandability and Comparability). As well as, Balanced Scorecard has a significant positive impact on Quality of Financial Information.This study displays the important role of strategic management accounting techniques in enhancing the Quality of Financial Information, as well as, helps decision makers to take their decisions based on Information Relevance, Understandability and Comparability.

This research article reviewed related literatures on strategic management of commercial banks; proposed the research model and measured the impact of factors on strategic management in Vietnam commercial banks. Applying the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on the Partial Least Squares(PLS) approach, the empirical study in the case of BIDV revealed that reputation factor has most positive impact on the strategic management of the bank. Other following factors have positive impact on the strategic management ranking from the highest to the lowest order including macro environment, bank resources, management style, competitiveness among rivals and structure of ownership. Based on the result of the research, the study has recommended several implications that can be highly applied for the bank management to effectively improve their strategic management in practice.

Abstract Humans have long listened to music. However, it is still unclear why people prefer some types of music over others. To investigate how music preference is determined, previous studies have focused on preferred music tempo since tempo can essentially determine music preference. Such studies have reported that external music components as well as internal motor tempo determine tempo preference. Moreover, it has been suggested that familiarity with a piece of music affects the impact of external music components on tempo preference. However, the question of how the contributions of the internal motor tempo and external music components for tempo preference simultaneously change depending on familiarity has not been investigated. Moreover, the issue of which external music components contribute to tempo preference depending on familiarity has not been clarified. Here, we investigate how the preference for music tempo is determined by the internal motor tempo and external music components depending on familiarity with a piece of music. Twenty-three participants adjusted music tempos according to their preferences and rated their music familiarity. In addition, they engaged in finger tapping at their preferred tempo. Music components, such as typically performed tempo or the number of notes, were also analysed. Analysis of the collected data with multiple linear regressions showed that the preferred tapping tempo contributed to the preferred music tempo regardless of familiarity, whereas the contributions of some of the music components changed depending on familiarity. The typically performed tempo that might relate to the memory of a piece of music contributed to the estimation of the preferred music tempo for familiar music, and the number of notes or the pitch that might relate to perceived tempo contributed to the estimation of unfamiliar music. These results suggested that internal motor tempo is constantly involved in tempo preference regardless of music familiarity, whereas the contribution of external music components varies depending on whether a piece of music has been memorized.

This work aimed at studying the relationship between personality from the Big Five Personality model and creativity through different techniques (i.e., a paper and pencil task, and scales) and informants (i.e., the child and parents). We evaluated a sample of 359 Spanish-speaking school children of both genders, aged 9 to 13 years. Personality was assessed with the Argentine Questionnaire of children’s Personality (CAPI). Creativity was evaluated using the following instruments: The Torrance Test of Creative Thinking-Figural Form B; and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC). Pearson correlations and multiple linear regressions consistently showed that Neuroticism related negatively to creativity while competence has a positive relation. The results suggested that more creative children presented less vulnerability, irritability and psychological distress, eventually becoming more independent, competent and emotionally self-regulated in coping with environmental demands.

Purpose Considering entrepreneurship education (EE) theory as a base, this paper aims to examine the impact of EE upon building entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, it investigates the impact of student’s age, gender and degree or course background in developing students entrepreneurial intentions. Design/methodology/approach A sample of 309 student respondents from higher education institution (HEI’s) was used to understand the relationship and its impact over intention building. Regression and ANOVA technique was used to understand the cause and effect as well as mean differences between the construct. Findings The results signify a positive impact of EE for stimulating the start-up intention in these interdisciplinary students of HEIs. These results resemble the existing studies in this endeavour. Findings also verify that individual intention to start a new business in terms of the theory of planned behaviour (attitude, perceived behavioural control and social norms), student background (gender and degree specialization) are positively related to individual intention to start a new business. Research limitations/implications The results confirm previous studies in this field and highlight the need for EE in HEI. The paper highlights the vitality for EE for India’s start-up growth. Originality/value This study adds to the paucity of research on EE and its impact on entrepreneurial intentions in higher education institutions in India.
