Among patients with psoriasis, approximately 50% are women and almost 75 % of them are under the age of 40 years. Thus, most women with psoriasis have childbearing potential. When pregnancy occurs in 22 % of patients, the activity of psoriasis persists, characteristic of the course before pregnancy, in 23 % of women, the course of the disease worsens. The article provides up-to-date data on the management of pregnant patients with psoriasis. To improve pregnancy outcomes in patients with psoriasis, it is important to prevent exacerbation of the disease. The choice of drug therapy in this case is based on an assessment of the ratio of the risk of undesirable effects of the drugs on the developing fetus and the risk of the development of exacerbation of psoriasis, which can cause an adverse pregnancy outcome. Despite the fact that the available clinical experience of using genetically engineered drugs is still limited, with a certain degree of confidence we can say that there is no increase in the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes associated with therapy with certolizumab pegol.

The modern approach to the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome without ST segment elevation on electrocardiogram (NSTEMI) involves the implementation of invasive interventions and the appointment of drug therapy. This literature review presents data on the features of drug treatment of patients with NSTEMI.

Whooping cough, despite the fact that the disease has long been known, still remains a problem for all countries. Cough attacks can cause not only physical discomfort to the patient, but also a significant negative psycho-emotional load. Existing drug therapy to date does not solve all the problems in the treatment of whooping cough. The aim of our study was to conduct a literature review of pertussis treatment and evaluate the efficacy of inhaled corticosteroids in adult patients with moderate to severe disease.Material and methods. Guidelines for the treatment of whooping cough were studied, and 26 medical records of inpatients with the diagnosis of “Pertussis” were analysed. Conclusion. Antibiotic therapy is a mandatory component of treatment. The effectiveness of inhaled corticosteroids in adult patients with moderate to severe whooping cough has been established.

OBJETIVES: The practice of physical activity is important to control and combat various chronic diseases, including improving the immune system, but in times of pandemic, the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is isolation and social distancing, consequently causing people to become inactive. This work is a systematic review to address the practice of physical activity amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. METHODS: This article aims to address the topic through a systematic review. It consists of a systematic literature review carried out through research in the Pubmed database. Nine articles were selected. CONCLUSION: It is concluded that the practice of physical activity is beneficial during the pandemic, but that it should be carried out at home, or in environments that respect WHO standards.

A literature review of gender differences with drug therapy is presented. Physiological differences between the sexes in basal metabolic rate and in levels of certain of the circulating hormones and enzymes affect or influence the metabolism of various drugs. Differences in muscle mass, disposition of adipose tissue and vascular resistance can lead to variations in response between the sexes to IM injections, while plasma levels of orally administered drugs can be influenced by sex differences such as gastric motility and secretion, metabolic rate, pregnancy, and differences in drug distributive compartments. These differences in gender response to a given therapy can vary according to the patient's age. Adverse reactions to drugs are also affected by the patient's gender, and certain drugs have been shown to induce adverse reactions predominantly in one sex. The review illustrates the confusion surrounding this subject and stresses the importance of sex differences in the consideration and monitoring of drug therapy. Information on sex and age of patients, and possible sex differences in response to drug therapy is requested of all future therapeutic studies. It was further suggested that the dual genetic coverage may be the mechanism by which the sex difference in susceptibility to infection can be explained. Support for this theory can best be found in a brief discussion of sex-linked diseases. The transmission from parents to offspring of defects, which may manifest themselves as disease, may be genetic in origin (Table 2).41 Due to the transmission of these diseases by the sex chromosomes, the male, having only one X-chromosome, is afflicted more often by these diseases. This leads one to conclude that given like conditions, females are better adapted to cope with many human diseases because they are genetically and chemically better evolved.
