The paper discusses the relationship between the cross-border labour mobility and diffusion of ecoinnovative technologies. Based on the interview surveys the authors found the main directions of circle impact of cross-border cooperation, eco-innovation and open labour markets. The analysis also showed the most important restrictions fordiffusion of eco-innovations in Ukraine and their effect on cross-border labour mobility.

Greater Copenhagen is often cited as a good example of cross-border cooperation. Shared historical contexts and socio-political willingness have meant that considerable resources have been invested into the development of infrastructure in this region. The Öresund fixed link constitutes the most important element of this infrastructure, facilitating a cross-border public transport system which ties the region together. This public transport system in turn underpins the social, economic and environmental sustainability of the cross-border region. The aim of this study is to investigate the issues at play with respect to improving the coherence of this cross-border public transport system, in relation to ticketing and public transport information in particular. This study comprises the compilation and analysis of the perspectives of the actors involved in and affected by the development of the cross-border transport system. In total, twelve semi-structured interviews were conducted. Six predominant themes emerged from the analysis of the empirical material: “Focus on the customer”, “The Other Side”, “Tidying up at home first”, “Political challenges”, “Back to basics” and “The low-hanging fruits”. It became apparent that the prioritization of internal and organizational issues in the first instance could mean compromises, not only for cross-border cooperation but also for the customer’s (the passenger’s) experience. Results suggest that improvements to coherence in this transport system will most likely take the form of incremental changes and adopting common standards. This is opposed to the development of common systems, or of a significant departure from existing systems.

Let us now have a closer look at the Kharkiv-Belgorod (potential) cross-border region as a case study of Ukrainian-Russian cross-border cooperation. Not only is the case of Kharkiv-Belgorod special because of the historical and cultural specificity of the region, which provides additional symbolic resources for its “reinvention” as a borderland (this will be discussed in the last section of the paper); it also represents an interesting combination of (remaining) cultural closeness and (growing) social and economic differences between the two bordering territories; significantly, these two administrative units became the initiators of the cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and Russia and see themselves as pioneers whose experience can be used for the other parts of the border.

Despite the promise of cross-border e-commerce, attracting consumers is still a worldwide challenge. Many cross-border e-commerce platforms have responded to the challenges by embracing innovative tools like live streaming. However, there has been limited understandings of the unique nature of live streaming and its empirical influence. Taking an affordance view of live streaming, this study defines affordance of live streaming as the capacities provided by live streaming and examines how affordance of live streaming affect consumer behavior in the cross-border e-commerce context based on information transparency perspective. Results show that although live streaming does not directly affect consumers’ cross-border purchase intention, it can increase consumers’ purchase intention through increasing perceived information transparency. In addition, affordance of live streaming can further moderate the relationship between different types of information transparency and consumers’ cross-border purchase intention. The findings provide a much-needed contribution to academia and business.

This article explores the relationship between Migrant CARE, a migrant labor NGO in Indonesia, and the Indonesian Migrant Workers Union in Hong Kong and their potential to advocate for better protection of migrant workers’ rights by the Indonesian government. Indonesia’s transition into democracy, Hong Kong’s promotion of civil rights and the United Nations International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Their Families provide opportunities for advocacy activism for Indonesian migrant workers and the possibility of cross-border cooperation of organizations in these two places. Previous studies show cross-border linkages of activism between Indonesia and Hong Kong but they do not pay attention to the factors that could promote sustaining the network. This article shows that both organizations have different strategies, alliance formations and ideologies in their activism. The differences between these organizations weaken their advocacy.

The paper is focused on the problems of the cross-border cooperation and the regional policy of the European Communities and the implementation of theoretical issues in the South Bohemia Region. The main aim of this paper is to compare the cross-border cooperation and its influence on the regional development of the South Bohemia Region between the 2004–2006 programming period (after the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Communities) and the 2007–2013 programming period. The paper also provides the typology of the realised cross-border projects from the perspectives of the number of projects and also their financial allocation. The results document the increasing importance of the cross-border cooperation and its highly positive impact on the social and economic development of the South Bohemia Region.

In the banking sector, competition management is based on the principles of marketing and management using marketing methodology. With the development of cross-border cooperation of the banking services market, the study of competition in cross-border markets of this type is key and promising. In the case of competent cross-border interaction, banks maintain their competitiveness, and cooperation between bordering states increases the intensity of interstate relations in the banking services market. The purpose of this article is to form a model of marketing management of competition in cross-border conditions, taking into account the industry specifics of the banking services market. The main approach to competition management is the marketing approach, which implies a macroeconomic isolation from the global economic system, accelerates the pace of expansion of transnational capital and allows you to form a successful experience in the development of competition and prevention of monopolistic activities. In the course of the study, the author concluded that the hypothesis of the study is fully proven. The main stages of assessing the risk of violations of competition conditions in the cross-border banking market are highlighted. The proposed model of marketing management of competition in cross-border conditions, taking into account the industry specifics of the banking services market, contributes to the development of the foundations of the modern marketing concept. The methodology developed by the author for assessing the risk of violations of competition conditions in the cross-border market of banking services in the management of competition is of scientific value and novelty.
