IntroductionPhysical exercises have been recommended to improve the overall well-being of patients with fibromyalgia, with the main objective of repairing the effects of lack of physical conditioning and of improving the symptoms, especially pain and fatigue. Although widely recommended and widely known, few studies support the use of Pilates as an effective method in improving the symptoms of the disease, comparing it with other well-founded exercise modalities. This protocol was developed to describe the design of a randomised controlled study with a blind evaluator that evaluates the effectiveness of mat Pilates, comparing it with aquatic aerobic exercises, in improving pain in women with fibromyalgia.MethodsSixty women aged 18–60 years with a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, with a score of between 3 and 8 points on the Visual Analogue Scale for pain, and who sign the clear and informed consent form will be recruited according to the inclusion criteria. They will be randomised into one of the two intervention groups: (1) Pilates, to perform an exercise programme based on mat Pilates; and (2) aquatic exercise, to participate in a programme of aerobic exercises in the swimming pool. The protocol will correspond to 12 weeks of treatment, with both groups performing the exercises with supervision twice a week. The primary outcome will be pain (Visual Analogue Scale for pain). The secondary outcomes are to include impact related to the disease, functional capacity, sleep quality and overall quality of life. The evaluations will be performed at three points: at baseline and after 6 weeks and 12 weeks of treatment.Ethics and disseminationThis protocol has been approved by the Ethics Committee of FACISA/UFRN (number: 2.116.314). Data collection will begin after approval by the ethics committee. There will be prior contact with the women, at which time all the information about the study and the objectives will be presented, as well as resolution no 466/2012 of the National Health Council of Brazil for the year 2012, which provides guidelines and regulatory standards for research involving human beings. Participants must sign the informed consent form before the study begins.Trial registration numberNCT03149198.

The present study aimed to analyze the ethical aspects contained in the sections “Instructions to authors” of Brazilian medical journals which were highly qualified on the assessment of the Qualis program of Conselho Técnico Científico da Educação Superior (CTC-ES) (Medicine I area - reference year 2007). Moreover, we searched in the journals that present information about the ethical issues involved in research with humans, if these journals inform the authors about how they should confirm to the editors the compliance with ethical issues of their studies. The editorial guidelines of 34 journals (17.6%, B2 score; 35.3% B3 score; 47.1% B4 score) were analyzed. It was observed that only 7 (20.6%) journals do no mention some ethical questions related to research involving human subjects and that 25 (73.5%) journals indicate the need for approval of research by Ethics Committee of the institution where the study was conducted. However, less than half (44.1%) of the journals clearly indicate in their “Instructions to authors” that information about the ethical aspects of research involving human subjects should be cited in the text of the manuscript submitted. Thus, further improvement is still necessary regarding the approach of ethical issues in the editorial guidelines of the Brazilian medical journals analyzed. Researches like this seek to contribute with the discussion about the awareness of editors, so that they mention in the instructions of their journals the principles, rules and ethical standards that must be considered in the research involving human beings.

Objectives: To evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire (DCDQ) – Brazil for a group of children aged 8, 9 and 10 years, using the Movement Assessment Battery for Children (Mabc-2) as the gold standard, and to identify the cut-off point for each specific age. Method: We evaluated the motor skills of 100 students through DCDQ-Brazil and Mabc-2. The collected data were submitted to statistical analysis of association; cut-off points were defined through the Youden index and Roc curve (Receiver Operator Characteristic). This survey was submitted and approved by the Ethics Committee of Research on Human Beings of the Federal University of São Carlos (CEP-UFSCar). Results: The data revealed that DCDQ-Brazil does not show satisfactory validity for the analyzed Brazilian context in the sample of children aged 8 and 10, because the cut-off points are higher than what was defined in this research, in a ratio that varies from 4 to 7 points. Conclusions: there is need for future investigations on the data regarding the age of 9 years in order to use the DCDQ adapted to Brazilian children aged 8-10 years, in order to favor the early identification of DCD.

ABSTRACTObjective: to propose a Nursing Care Systematization in an ‘Agreste’ of Pernambuco hospital rooming. Method: It´s a descriptive, exploratory study realized in two steps: first, a data collect tool was created, grounded on Horta’s conceptual model which is based on the Basic Human Needs. In the second step the tool was submitted to validation of content and appearances. The research was done by six nurses, called the research judges, who answered the questionnaire to validate the tool and besides they did the direct care to patients in the rooming of Jesus Nazareno Hospital in Caruaru- Pernambuco, after the approval of Research Ethics Committee with human beings – CEP/ASCES, under protocol 062/10. Results: despite the fact that 100% of the evaluators judged the tools as clear and adequate, the majority of judges suggested it should be more practical because the tool was long and of hard application in clinic practices due to work overcharge. Conclusion: the research enabled the reflection about the necessity of elaboration of an action plan which must include group sensibilization, involvement and participation in order to implement the systematization of care. Engenharias. Abstract Dropout is a problem that affects many higher education institutions today. The origins of such evasions have been investigated by many researchers with the intention of understanding them and elaborating, based on the observations made, actions that mitigate this reality. The objective of the study was to know the students’ profile of Computer Engineering and Automation Engineering at IFMT - Campus Cuiabá, also, to understand what factors may be contributing for them to be willing or ready to abandon the course. As it is a research with human beings, it was necessary to submit and approve the project by the IFMT Research Ethics Committee and it was based on a questionnaire which, after being applied to students, was subsequently submitted for analysis of their responses. In short, it was noticed that the main causes that, a priori, are related to dropouts can be: the need for some students to have to work to help support the family; the few hours of extra-class study aimed at the course and, lastly, a lack of affinity with undergraduate degree, considering that this was not his or her first professional choice. Introduction: Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is part of neurodevelopmental disorders, which are behavioral and cognitive. These symptoms appear according to the child's development, however, most of the time, they present themselves before the age of three, and they may evolve to greater intensities or not. Objective: To analyze the experience of families with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Methods: Exploratory study with a qualitative approach carried out at the Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional/APAE). 46 families and 10 professionals participated in the study. For the analysis of the results, the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin was used. The research project for this study was approved by the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings under opinion No. 3172.942 on February 27, 2019. Results: It was evident that the family is an important instrument for the care of children with ASD and, for this reason, it should be seen in an integrated and not fragmented way in care, thus revealing the need to promote actions that take care of the caregiver and not just of the child itself, because as seen, every process that goes from birth to diagnosis and treatment of the child requires changes that can also bring harm to the health of the family. Conclusion: The experience of families of children with ASD goes through phases of acceptance and adaptation and depends on the interaction and assistance of professionals so that they can, despite life changes, perceive them as important in promoting the child's life from the motor and cognitive interaction with society.

Abstract. Several empirical investigations have explored whether observers prefer to sort sets of multidimensional stimuli into groups by employing one-dimensional or family-resemblance strategies. Although one-dimensional sorting strategies have been the prevalent finding for these unsupervised classification paradigms, several researchers have provided evidence that the choice of strategy may depend on the particular demands of the task. To account for this disparity, we propose that observers extract relational patterns from stimulus sets that facilitate the development of optimal classification strategies for relegating category membership. We conducted a novel constrained categorization experiment to empirically test this hypothesis by instructing participants to either add or remove objects from presented categorical stimuli. We employed generalized representational information theory (GRIT; Vigo, 2011b , 2013a , 2014 ) and its associated formal models to predict and explain how human beings chose to modify these categorical stimuli. Additionally, we compared model performance to predictions made by a leading prototypicality measure in the literature.
