Objective: To explore the effects of compound danshen dripping pills on the levels of serum inflammatory factors, brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and blood lipid in CABG postoperative patients. Methods: 156 cases of patients who were given CABG from January 2015 to January 2018 in Baogang Hospital were chosen and randomly divided into the observation group (n = 78) and the control group (n = 78). Both groups were given conventional drugs, simultaneously, the observation group was given compound danshen dripping pills. The treatment lasted 3 months. The clinical efficacy was compared between two groups of patients, and the levels of serum inflammatory factors, plasma BNP and blood lipid before and after treatment in two groups of patients were detected in order to make a comparison in the incidence of adverse cardiac events between two groups of patients. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group; in the two groups, the levels of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8), C-reactive protein and plasma BNP after treatment were obviously lower than those before treatment, and these indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (p < .05); the levels of TG, TC and LDL-C in two groups were obviously lower (p < .05) with the level of HDL-C significantly higher (all p < .05), and the descending or ascending range of each indicator in the observation group was obviously larger than that in the control group (p < .05); in the follow-up visit, the incidence of adverse cardiac events in the observation group of patients was significantly lower than that in the control group of patients (p < .05).Conclusions: Compound danshen dripping pills can effectively reduce the levels of serum inflammatory factors and BNP, regulate blood lipid metabolism and reduce the incidence of adverse cardiac events in CABG postoperative patients.

This study is to investigate the effect of atorvastatin combined with losartan on inflammatory factors, vascular endothelial function, and cardiovascular events in patients with diabetic nephropathy. A total of 128 patients with diabetic nephropathy treated in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2015 were selected as the study subjects, and 64 cases were randomly divided into observation group and 64 cases in the control group. The control group was treated with losartan on the basis of routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with atorvastatin on the basis of the control group. The blood lipid, inflammatory factors, changes in vascular endothelial function and cardiovascular events were compared between the two groups. The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were not significantly different between the two groups before treatment ( P > 0.05); after treatment, the levels of TC, TG, and LDL-C in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the level of HDL-C was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P < 0.05). The levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), and interleukin 6 (IL-6) were not statistically different between the two groups before treatment ( P > 0.05); after treatment, the levels of hs-CRP, TNF-α, and IL-6 in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group ( P < 0.05), the level of HDL-C was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the levels of endothelin-1 (ET-1) and nitric oxide (NO) between the two groups before treatment ( P > 0.05). After treatment, the level of ET-1 in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P < 0.05), and the level of NO was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P < 0.05). After treatment, all patients were followed up for 2 years, and the incidence of secondary cardiovascular events in the observation group was 12.50% (8/64), which was significantly lower than 29.69% (19/64) of the control group ( P < 0.05). Combination of atorvastatin and losartan can significantly improve the levels of blood lipid, inflammatory factors, and vascular endothelial function in patients with diabetic nephropathy and can effectively reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events.

Objective: To discuss the specific application of Zhuang Medicine Crystal Sugar Ye’An Decoction in senile skin pruritus and its effects on serum IgE detection level. Methods: 90 patients with senile skin pruritus admitted to our hospital from February 2019 to April 2020 were randomly grouped. The general treatment effect, itching, secondary skin lesion severity, serum IL-6, IgE level and adverse reactions between 45 patients treated with Chlorcyclizine Hydrochloride Tablets (The control group) and 45 patients treated with Crystal Sugar Ye’An Decoction were compared. Results: The total effective rate of the treatment in the observation group was 93.33%, much higher than that in the control group, 75.56%. The difference was verified and statistically significant (P<0.05). Before the treatment, the itching area, frequency, duration and severity of secondary skin lesions were at the same level (P>0.05). After the treatment, the above data were all reduced, and the reduction of the observation group was more significant than that of the control group, indicating the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Before the treatment, there was no difference in serum IL-6 and IgE test data between the two groups (P>0.05). After the treatment, the tendency all declined, and that of the observation group was more obvious, indicating the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). During the experiment, no obvious adverse reactions were observed in both groups. Conclusion: In the treatment of patients with senile pruritus, the application of Zhuang Medicine Crystal Sugar Ye’An Decoction is not only safe and reliable, but can promote the improvement of patients’ symptoms, adjust the level of inflammatory factors, and enhance clinical efficacy.

Objective. This study aimed to explore the clinical efficacy and relevant mechanism of Tripterygium glycosides combined with low molecular weight heparin calcium (LMWH) in the treatment of Henoch–Schönlein purpura nephritis (HSPN) in children. Methods. 64 cases of children patients with HSPN treated at Qilu Hospital (Qingdao) from January 2015 to May 2020 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group and 32 cases in each group. Conventional medical treatment was applied in the two groups, besides which the control group was given LMWH while the observation group was given Tripterygium glycosides based on the control group. The clinical efficacy and the indexes of clinical symptoms of the two groups were compared. Immune globulin level, fibrinogen content (FIB), prothrombin time (PT), platelet level (PLT), and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) level of the two groups were compared before and after the treatment. Results. The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group. After treatment, urine red blood cell count and 24 h urine protein were obviously better than those of the control group. There was no statistically significant difference in PT between the two groups of children before and after treatment. The levels of PLT and FIB in the two groups of patients after treatment were significantly lower than before treatment, and the PLT levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group. Conclusion. The combination of Tripterygium glycosides and LMWH had good clinical effects in the treatment of children with HSPN, and it could improve the clinical symptoms, the mechanism of which might be related to the increase of PT, a decrease of PLT, and the improvement of coagulation function.

Objectives: To compare the efficacy and safety of intravenous thrombolysis with alteplase and intravenous thrombolysis with urokinase for patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods: This prospective study included 140 patients with acute cerebral infarction who were admitted to our hospital between June 2018 and June 2019. They were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (70 cases) was treated with urokinase intravenous thrombolysis, and the observation group (70 cases) was given alteplase intravenous thrombolytic therapy. The treatment efficacy and safety of the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.7%, and that of the control group was 78.6%, i.e., the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly superior to the that of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the observation group had significantly lower National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score and significantly higher mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score than the control group; the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of inflammatory factors of both groups significantly decreased compared to before treatment, and the decrease in the observation group was larger than that in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of serum homocysteine (Hcy) and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of hemorrhagic adverse reaction in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: In the treatment of acute cerebral infarction, ccompared with urokinase, alteplase can further relieve cognitive impairment and promote the recovery of nerve function through inhibiting levels of inflammatory factors and levels of serum Hcy and MCP-1. doi: https://doi.org/10.12669/pjms.38.3.4521 How to cite this:Gao L, Zhang S, Wo X, Shen X, Tian Q, Wang G. AbstractWe evaluated the concentrations of brain natriuretic peptide in the plasma as a marker of systolic ventricular function before and after maximal exercise in 15 surgically palliated patients with functionally univentricular hearts, with apparently good ventricular function. Of the patients, 6 with median age of 14.6 years, and a range from 12.5 to 17.9 years, had been palliated by construction of a total cavopulmonary connection, while the other 9 patients, with a median age of 32.1 years, and a range from 15.6 to 54.2 years, had undergone the classical Fontan procedure. We used 8 healthy individuals, with a median age of 13.9 years, and a range from 12.8 to 14.2 years, as a control group for the measurements of brain natriuretic peptide. The values of the peptide were significantly higher in those with the classical Fontan procedure, both before, when the median value was 131.8 nanogram per litre, with a range from 0.5 to 296.4, and after maximal exercise, when the median value was 108.1, with a range from 0.1 to 235.9. The comparable values in those with a total cavopulmonary connection were a median of 12.8, and a range from 0.5 to 39.1 before, and a median of 9.7, with a range from 2.7 to 26.2 after maximal exercise. The median value for the control group was 13.1, with a range from 2.6 to 38.7 before exercise (p = 0.016), and a median of 24.1, with a range from 5.8 to 66.7 after maximal exercise (p = 0.03), respectively. In the control subjects, the level of the peptide increased by a median of 9.7 nanograms per litre, with a range from 1.2 to 28.0 after maximal exercise (p = 0.008). The level was unchanged after maximal exercise in those with classical Fontan procedures and total cavopulmonary connections, with a difference between levels before and after exercise of a median of 5.9 nanogram per litre, and a range from −23.7 to 31.0 (p = 0.96), and a median of −1.0 nanogram per litre, with a range from −12.0 to 3.9 (p > 0.99), respectively. We conclude that maximal exercise did not increase the level of brain natriuretic peptide level in those patients with the classical Fontan procedure, nor those with a total cavopulmonary connection, findings which may indicate that systolic ventricular dysfunction is not the major cause of the decreased working capacity observed in patients with well functioning palliated functionally univentricular hearts.
