Pendeteksian gangguan jaringan internet indihome seringkali membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Hal ini dikarenakan tidak semua pengguna jaringan internet indihome mengerti penanganan gangguan pada jaringan internet indihome. Selain itu administrator Indihome sendiri terkadang membutuhkan waktu yang tidak sedikit dalam mendeteksi gangguan pada jaringan internet. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun sistem pakar untuk mendeteksi gangguan jaringan internet indihome. Sistem pakar ini dapat digunakan pengguna indihome untuk membantu mendeteksi gangguan pada jaringan dan dapat dijadikan sebagai asisten pakar oleh administrator indihome. Sistem Pakar ini dibangun menggunakan metode Forward Chaining. Hasilnya direpresentasikan ke dalam Knowledge Based Table yang selanjutnya digunakan untuk pembangunan sistem pakar. Metode ini cocok dipakai di sistem pakar yang mendiagnosis suatu yang belum pasti dengan menggunakan perhitungan yang akurat untuk memastikan nilai keyakinannya. Manfaat yang didapat dari sistem pakar yang mampu melaksanakan diagnosis dengan singkat, tepat dan akurat kepada gejala kerusakan yang ada diharapkan bisa membantu karyawan dalam menyampaikan solusi dan penanganan secara akurat dari kerusakan yang terjadi pada jaringan internet indihome.

Plentiful choices of Student Activities Unit that offered by a campus like Multimedia Nusantara University can help students who want to choose a unit that suitable for them. The decision support system application with Forward Chaining method is built to help students choosing the Student Activity Unit that suits them. Multiple Intelligence method is used as the knowledge base at making the rules. The aspects that considered as attributes to choosing the Student Activities Unit is the initial interest and also the multiple intelligence scores that the level of conformity will be searched by using Forward Chaining method. This research has produced a knowledge-based decision support system that can help students at choosing Student Activities Unit that suitable for them with the highest accuracy of 86.67 percent. This system is designed in website with PHP and MySQL database programming language. Computer field supports the existence of auxiliary program in medical development that is expert knowledge-based system, this system is one branch of Artifical Intellegence (AI). Expert systems are knowledge in learning about estimation or decision-making ability of an expert. Problem solving in the identification of a disease by using auxiliary program is needed a method and concept. Calculation techniques in computing systems are so important, given the level of need for information and the settlement of cases quickly.The results of the study are expert applications that assist in providing results of diagnosis of symptoms managed the system, with inference using forward chaining, and reasioning with Dempster Shafer. Dempster Shafer's method is not monotonous in solving uncertainty problems, due to the addition or subtraction of new facts. Rule changes will occur, allowing the system to do the work of an expert.Data changes will occur both to diseases, symptoms, solutions and rules, allowing the system to do the work of an expert. The results of manual calculations with the system gives results in accordance with the application of Dempster Shafer method. Management of rules in the database facilitates the search for symptoms within the system.

AbstractBRAINDEX (Brain-Death Expert System) is an interactive, knowledge-based expert system offering support to physicians in decision making concerning brain death. The physician is given the possibility of communicating in almost natural language and, therefore, in terms with which he is familiar. This updated version of the system is implemented on an IBM-PC/AT with the expert system shell PC-PLUS and consists of about 430 rules. The determination of brain death is realized with backward chaining and for the optional coma-scaling a forward-chaining mechanism is used.

The growth of information technology is increasing lately. People can get the actual information from websites. The combination between website and expert system will help people to make an application that can think like an expert and spread it all around the world using the internet. The technology can be used to solve the availability problem of expert nutrient in Indonesia. The application was developed using forward chaining method as the inference system. It will make the application work like a nutrient expert, which asks the patient from general to specified symptoms. The knowledge based of the application was collected from trusted resources like nutrient experts and nutrient books. The application was tested by the nutrient expert. The result shows that the application can work properly like an expert.

A doctor or medical scholar needs a reference book to learn how to diagnose tropical diseases. This reference book is sometimes a hassle if you have to carry it everywhere. This reference book is also impractical if you have to search it first to find the symptoms and diseases you want to study. So that we need a system to make it easier for doctors and medical scholars to study the science of diagnosis and look for symptoms and diseases. Expert systems are knowledge-based programs that provide expert quality solutions to problems in a specific domain. This expert system is used in the fields of medicine, agriculture, business, and others. Expert systems in the field of medicine make it easy to identify diseases suffered by patients through the symptoms present in the patient. This expert system helps doctors make diagnoses to convince doctors about the results of the diagnosis. The expert system in this study uses a combined method. The combined method is forward chaining and backward chaining. The forward chaining method is used to determine specific symptoms that appear, while the backward chaining method is used to trace general symptoms that arise from specific symptoms that have been previously selected. The result of combining these methods provides a diagnostic percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, the user's assessment of the system gives a good response.

Abstract. Research demonstrates that the negative relationship between Openness to Experience and conservatism is heightened among the informed. We extend this literature using national survey data (Study 1; N = 13,203) and data from students (Study 2; N = 311). As predicted, education – a correlate of political sophistication – strengthened the negative relationship between Openness and conservatism (Study 1). Study 2 employed a knowledge-based measure of political sophistication to show that the Openness × Political Sophistication interaction was restricted to the Openness aspect of Openness. These studies demonstrate that knowledge helps people align their ideology with their personality, but that the Openness × Political Sophistication interaction is specific to one aspect of Openness – nuances that are overlooked in the literature.
