Let be a real Banach space satisfying local uniform Opial's condition, whose duality map is weakly sequentially continuous. Let be a uniformly asymptotically regular family of asymptotically nonexpansive semigroup of with function . Let and be weakly contractive map. Let be -strongly accretive and -strictly pseudocontractive map with . Let be an increasing sequence in and let and be sequences in satisfying some conditions. For some positive real number appropriately chosen, let be a sequence defined by , ,  ,  . It is proved that converges strongly to a common fixed point of the family which is also the unique solution of the variational inequality .

In the framework of a real Banach space with uniformly Gateaux differentiable norm, some new viscosity iterative sequences{xn}are introduced for an infinite family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappingsTii=1∞in this paper. Under some appropriate conditions, we prove that the iterative sequences{xn}converge strongly to a common fixed point of the mappingsTii=1∞, which is also a solution of a variational inequality. Our results extend and improve some recent results of other authors.

Abstract Let 𝐸 be a uniformly convex Banach space which satisfies Opial's condition or its dual 𝐸* has the Kadec–Klee property, 𝐶 a nonempty closed convex subset of 𝐸, and 𝑇𝑗 : 𝐶 → 𝐶 an asymptotically nonexpansive mapping for each 𝑗 = 1, 2, . . . , 𝑟. Suppose {𝑥𝑛} is generated iteratively by where 𝑈𝑛(0) = 𝐼, 𝐼 is the identity map and {α 𝑛(𝑗)} is a suitable sequence in [0, 1]. If the set of common fixed points of is nonempty, then weak convergence of {𝑥𝑛} to some is obtained.

AbstractIn this paper we determine the lower bound on |z| = r < 1 for the functional Re{αp(z) + β zp′(z)/p(z)}, α ≧0, β ≧ 0, over the class Pk (A, B). By means of this result, sharp bounds for |F(z)|, |F',(z)| in the family and the radius of convexity for are obtained. Furthermore, we establish the radius of starlikness of order β, 0 ≦ β < 1, for the functions F(z) = λf(Z) + (1-λ) zf′ (Z), |z| < 1, where ∞ < λ <1, and .
