Because of the increasing volume of information, problem decisions tend to be more difficult to deal with. Achieving an objective and making a suitable decision may become a real challenge. In order to better deal with decision making, decision support systems (DSS) have been developed. The decision support systems (DSS) can be used in any kind of a decision-making process and are very suitable in situations that involve a lot of stakeholders and a large number of criteria. DSS offers support in the decision-making process (<em>how</em> a decision should be made), and it does not focus on the result (<em>what</em> decision that should be made). DSS can also involve a large number of stakeholders and criteria, in the same time. A limitation of this method is that, regardless of the mathematical results, the final decision has to be made by the decision maker. Depending on the nature of the decision problem, a decision maker can use decision support systems (DSS), if the decision problem is economic or technical, and spatial decision support systems (SDSS), if the decision maker is faced with a spatial decision problem. The main objective of the present study is to apply a spatial decision support system in order to find a suitable shelter in the historical centre of Bucharest City in the post-disaster phase, in case of an earthquake occurrence. The present work represents a first step in applying SDSS in the context of the seismic risk in Bucharest. For the present paper, the SMCE Module for ILWIS 3.4 was used. The method included the following steps: structuring the problem in a decision tree, applying standardization and weighting methods to the criteria, finding suitable alternatives and choosing one of the alternatives. The results show that several buildings can be used as a shelter and among these are ‘Creditul Roman’ Bank Palace, the National History Museum and the National Bank of Romania.

So far, the employee performance assessment at the office of sukodadi sud district in lamongan regency is conducted by the appraisal officer in coordination with the Head Office. Previously was done manual calculation without using a system. The calculation carried out in the form of determination of eligibility fulfillment of promotion of employee. Decision support systems can assist in determining assessments of employee work for the purpose of regular promotion by using a method. The existence method can be used in decision support systems such as Analytical Hierarchi Process (AHP). Systematic and appropriate in the decision-making process that is able to show the value of the competence of employees in accordance with the criteria established by the Office or decision makers based on systematic data analysis for the purpose of promotion of regular.

This review paper identifies benefits from various Decision Support Systems (DSSs) and introduces a range of examples from the literature. Those examples are organized according to the driving technological architecture of the DSS. Benefits may impact a decision or the decision-making process. Some techniques for assessing the benefits of a particular DSS were also surveyed.

Computers have made tremendous contributions towards transactional processing. However, the highest pay-off the computer can make is not in transactional processing but in decision-making. Recently, expert systems have just begun to be used in the decision-making process. Individual technologies alone are inadequate for an effective decision support. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the related issues in decision support and to develop an expert decision support system (EDSS) for combining decision support systems and expert systems into a unified whole for decision support. The emphasis will be on developing a DSS/ES model which can be used to integrate the traditional DSS database and ES knowledge-base for building a user-friendly EDSS.

The reception of journalists at the Waspada Daily Medan always went through several rigorous selections before being determined to be accepted as journalists at the Waspada Medan Daily. There are several criteria that must be possessed by each participant as a condition for becoming a journalist in the Daily Alert Medan. To get the best participants, the Waspada Medan Daily needed a decision support system. Decision Support Systems (SPK) are part of computer-based information systems (including knowledge-based systems (knowledge management)) that are used to support decision making within an organization or company. Decision support systems provide a semitructured decision, where no one knows exactly how the decision should be made. In this study the authors applied the VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) as the method to be applied in the decision support system application. The VIKOR method is part of the Multi-Attibut Decision Making (MADM) Concept, which requires normalization in its calculations. Decision Support Systems atau lebih dikenal dengan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan adalah bagian dari sebuah sistem informasi yang berbasis komputer termasuk sistem yang berbasis ilmu pengetahuan dan dipakai untuk mendukung pengambil  keputusan dalam suatu organisasi atau perusahaan. untuk memudahkan pimpinan dalam mengambil sebuah keputusan dibuatlah suatu sistem pengambil keputusan dengan menggunakan Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making  (FMADM) digunakan untuk mencari alternatif optimalkan dari sejumlah alternatif dengan kriteria tertentu, sedangkan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Metode SAW sering juga dikenal istilah metode penjumlahan terbobot. Konsep dasar metode SAW adalah mencari penjumlahan terbobot dari rating kinerja pada setiap alternatif dari semua atribut.
