The involvement of the appendix by lymphomas, both primarily or secondarily, is extremely rare; primary lymphomas account for less than 0.02% of gastrointestinal neoplasm. We present the rare case of a patient who debuts with low gastrointestinal bleeding as the main symptom. Colonoscopy found an extra mucosal tumour on the posterior aspect of the ceccum and bleeding from the appendicular orifice. Primary appendicular tumour is confirmed on multislice computed tomography and laparoscopic right hemicolectomy is performed. The patient had an uneventful postoperative course and was discharged on the 6th postoperative day. The pathology report shows a infiltration of the cecal appendix by grade 2 follicular lymphoma.

Summary Eagle syndrome is a rare condition presenting with retroauricular pain (usually as main symptom) associated with dysphagia, headache, neck pain on rotation and, much rarelier, stroke. This occurs due to styloid process elongation. Sometimes, there is also styloid ligament calcification, which can cause compression of nerves and arteries and the symptoms above. Treatment can be conservative with pain modulators (e.g. pregabalin) or infiltrations (steroids or anesthetics drugs). In refractory cases, surgical approach aiming to reduce the size of the styloid process can be performed. We present a rare case of Eagle syndrome (documented by computed tomography) with good response to clinical treatment.

37-year-old man presented to the emergency department with a three-hour history of severe, generalized abdominal pain. Computed tomography of abdomen revealed two distal ileoileal intussusceptions with high suspicion of 3 cm mass within the intussusception around the ileocecal region. Laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with extracorporeal ileocolic anastomosis which showed Meckel

An 81-year-old man was referred to the colorectal surgeons for an elective laparoscopic right hemicolectomy for a caecal adenocarcinoma (T2N0M0). The operation was uneventful; however, 12 days postoperatively the patient developed symptoms of sepsis of unknown origin. After extensive investigations and work up, Candida albicans was grown as the causative organism with the site of infection being a new saccular mycotic aneurysm arising from the distal, posterior aspect of the aortic arch. The mycotic aneurysm was not initially considered as a differential diagnosis, and this case highlights the importance of consideration of mycotic aneurysm as a differential diagnosis in postsurgical septic patients.
