Sun protection is an essential need of most women in Hanoi, especially in hot weather and ozone depletion. Sun protective clothing currently meets the needs of covering and protecting against UV rays but does not satisfy all the needs of comfort and aesthetics of the wearer. In order to propose solutions to improve the product, the researcher has designed a questionnaire, conducted a paper-based survey and electronic survey for 400 women living in Hanoi. The results showed that most of the respondents were satisfied with the sun protective ability and the reasonable price was from 200,000 to 500,000VND, however, if the product is improved on the style of clothing (simple, youthful, active), covering the whole body, the construction can be flexible according to the needs of use, integrating the ability of light rain-proof, antimycotic, it will better meet wearer's demand.

More research is needed to understand how attitudes impact behaviors that afford sun protection. The current study examined the impact of students’ perceptions of parental beliefs about sun exposure and its influence on their practiced sun protection behaviors and worry about sun exposure. Participants were college students (N=462) at a large Midwestern university. They completed a survey to examine their perceptions of risks and messages about sun exposure and sun exposure behaviors. Results indicated that gender and students’ perceptions of parental beliefs about sun exposure were related to sun protection behaviors and their own worry over sun exposure. Specifically, males showed lower levels of sun protection behaviors, with the exception of wearing a hat with a brim, and lower levels of worry about sun exposure compared to females. Roughly a third of our sample had a family history of skin cancer, and this variable was related to worry about sun exposure and parental beliefs. Prevention messages and interventions to reduce sun risk for college students should address risks of sun exposure as well as educating young adults about the importance of wearing sunscreen, protective clothing, and hats to improve sun protection.

ABSTRACTIn actinic cheilitis, the current view is that the keratinocytes have undergone transformation forming a field of epithelium with the potential for neoplastic transformation. Clinical features include diffuse and poorly demarcated atrophic, erosive or keratotic plaques that may affect some parts of, or the entire vermilion border. Fair-complexioned people, those with albinism and people with eversion of the lip are all subject to actinic cheilitis. Prophylactic measures against all forms of sunlight-induced lesions must include limitation of exposure to the sun during peak sunlight hours, the use of appropriate protective clothing, and the use of a sunscreen cream. In this article, a case of albinism is used to illustrate the nature of actinic cheilitis, its clinical features and its treatment. (Eur J Dent 2011;5:101-106)
