The aims of this research is to know if there is a significant effect of problem-posing learning method on students’ achievement in reading invitation text of the twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok. The population is the twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok, which is consist of 190 students. Then, the sample is taken from the population by cluster random sampling technique and the total sample is 79 students. The writer uses experimental method. After calculating the data, it is found that the mean score of students reading invitation letter before taught by Problem Posing learning method is 68; it is categorized “enough”. While the mean score of students reading invitation letter after taught by Problem Posing learning method is 79, it is categorized “good”. After finding the score of ttest and ttable, both of the scores are compared. It is found that ttest is higher than ttable (ttest > ttable = 15.71 > 2.04). It means there is significant effect of Problem Posing learning method on reading invitation letter of the Twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok. So, the hypothesis in this research can be accepted

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of communicative games that can improve students’ speaking skills in class VIII at SMPN 2 Lamasi. The method that is  applied in this research is a pre-experimental design. The population in this research is the seventh-grade students of SMPN 2 Lamasi, and the total sample is 15 students. The research uses a cluster random sampling technique in determining the sample. The instrument of this research is speaking. The results of this research indicated that after using the communicative games to improve students' speaking skills of SMPN 2 La masi increases. This shows that there are significant differences between student scores in pre-tests and post-test. The mean score of the students’ pre-test is 37.47 and 81.47 in the post-test. So, there is significant different between the result of pre-test and post-test after the treatment. Therefore, the researcher concludes that communicative games is effective in teaching speaking at eight grade of SMPN 2 Lamasi.

Experimentation is one of the learning process activities that is very instrumental in increasing the success of the teaching and learning process, especially in science subjects. Learning methods with practicum can be used as alternative learning that can encourage students to learn independently and actively so that they can reconstruct their learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the experimental method on student physics learning outcomes. The type of research used is true experimental research with posttest only control design. The population in this study were students of X-MIA 9 grade at SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique, obtained X-MIA 9 as the experimental class 1 and X-MIA 6 as the control class, with each consisting of 28 students. Learning outcomes obtained by students 'physics show a comparison of the scores of students' physics learning outcomes taught by using the dominant experimental method in the medium category while the results of the physics learning outcomes for students taught by using the discussion method as conventional learning dominant are in the low category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that learning by using the experimental method can affect students' physics learning outcomes..Keywords: Experimental Method, Physics Learning OutcomesEksperimen merupakan salah satu kegiatan proses pembelajaran yang sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar khususnya dalam mata pelajaran sains. Metode pembelajaran dengan praktikum dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong peserta didik untuk belajar mandiri dan aktif sehingga dapat merekonstruksi hasil belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar fisika peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian true eksperimen dengan desain posttest only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-MIA 9 SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling, diperoleh X-MIA 9 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan X-MIA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan masing-masing terdiri dari 28 peserta didik. Hasil belajar yang diperoleh fisika peserta didik memperlihatkan perbandingan skor hasil belajar fisika peserta didik yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dominan berada pada kategori sedang sedangkan hasil skor hasil belajar fisika peserta didik yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode diskusi sebagai pembelajaran konvensional dominan berada pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar fisika peserta didik.Kata kunci: Metode Eksperimen, Hasil Belajar Fisika

<p>The purpose of this research is to know the effect of applying the TGT (Team Games Tournament) cooperative method through a medium of puzzle on the mathematics learning outcomes. The method used is an experimental method. The sampling is conducted using a simple random sampling technique, with samples of 40 students consisting of 20 students of an experimental class and 20 students of a control class. The analysis to test the research hypothesis is performed using the mean difference test (t-test), with the results of the hypothesis test showing that there is the effect of applying the TGT (Team Games Tournament) cooperative method through a medium of puzzle on the mathematics learning outcomes.<em></em></p>

The objectives of this research were to find out whether the use of Prezi with KWL Strategy enhances the reading comprehension and the students’ interest. This research employed quasi experimental design. The population of this research was the first grade students of SMA 2 Enrekang in academic 2017/2018. This research employed cluster random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 72 students which belong to two classes; 36 students in experimental class and also 36 students in control class. Research instruments were used to collect the data in this research namely reading comprehension test and questionnaire. The result of the students’ reading score in this research showed that the experimental class improved significantly from 69.69 up to 86.61. While, in control class the result improved from 66.22 up to 75.89. Therefore, the significant values of Independent t-test 0.000 < α = 0.05. It means that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Moreover, based on the students’ response on questionnaire showed that the mean score of interest was 80.61 and it was categorized as interested.

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) manakah yang memberikan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, metode ceramah atau metode diskusi; (2) manakah yang memiliki prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, mahasiswa laki-laki atau perempuan; (3) pada masing-masing model pembelajaran, manakah yang mempunyai prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, mahasiswa laki-laki atau perempuan; (4) pada masing-masing jenis kelamin, manakah yang memberikan prestasi yang lebih baik, metode ceramah atau metode diskusi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa semester 5 di kelas pagi Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik stratified cluster random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 68 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi metode dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan nilai MID mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi tahun akademik 2015/2016 sebagai data kemampuan awal dan nilai UAS mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi untuk data prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. (1) Pembelajaran matematika ekonomi menggunakan metode ceramah menghasilkan prestasi belajar matematika yang sama dengan metode diskusi. (2) Mahasiswa laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. (3) Pada masing-masing metode pembelajaran, mahasiswa laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. (4) Pada masing-masing jenis kelamin, pembelajaran matematika ekonomi menggunakan metode ceramah dan metode diskusi menghasilkan prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. This research used quasi experimental method with its population included all of students of 5th semester in morning class Program Study of Mathematics Education IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The size of the sample was 68 students. The data collection technique was include the documentation method to get the 2015/2016 MID Test of Economy Mathematics subject for initial capability data before the experiment and Final test of Economy Mathematics subject for mathematics student’s achievement data. The data was analyzed using analysis of variance. Based on these results it can be concluded as follows. (1) Economy mathematics learning using speech method produced the same mathematics achievement as using discussion method. (2) For male or female students have the same mathematics achievement. (3) Viewed from learning method, male or female students have the same mathematics achievement. This research is motivated by the ability of early child in good toilet training activity. The purpose of this research is to describe about (1) describe the management of the learning environment (2) describe the learning media (3) describe the learning method. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative, population in research amount to 30 people. Samples were taken as much as 65%. The number of samples is 20 people. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, while data collection tools using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using the formula percentage. From the research result that (1) management of learning environment (class) on toilet training implementation in good category, (2) instructional media used by teacher in toilet training implementation in good category, (3) learning method used in toilet training implementation in category good. Suggestions from this research so that the management of learning environment, learning media and learning methods on the implementation of toilet training can be improved by the school.Keywords: Implementation, Toilet Training

This research was done by applying experimental research and the design used was factorial design 2x2. The aims of this research were (1) to find out whether there is any different effect of students’ reading comprehension between an experimental and control class. (2) To find out the different on students’ reading comprehension between students who have high reading interest in an experimental class and a control class. (3) To find out the different on students’ reading comprehension between students who have low reading interest in an experimental class and a control class. (4) To find out whether there is any interaction between teaching strategies and reading interest on students’ reading comprehension. The samples were two classes of eleventh grade students of Social 1 and Social 2 of SMAN 16 Pekanbaru. The writer took the sample as cluster random sampling technique. The total sample was 60 students. The forms of the test were reading comprehension test and questionnaire. Finally, the results of the research show that: first, there was the significant score (sig.) 0.02 < 0.05 in students’ reading comprehension. It means that there is significant difference on students’ reading comprehension between an experimental class and control class. Second, there was no significant difference on students’ reading comprehension between students who have high reading interest in an experimental and control class. The sig value was 0.841 > 0.05. Third, there was significant difference on students’ reading comprehension between students who have low reading interest in an experimental and control class. The sig value was 0.03 > 0.05. Last, the sig value was 0.045 < 0.05. It means that there was an interaction between teaching strategy and reading interest on students’ reading comprehension at SMAN 16 Pekanbaru.Key words: Infographics, Reading Interest, Reading Comprehension

The aim of the present study was to investigate the comparability of the mean scores of gifted students on the Jordanian version of the Overexcitabilities Questionnaire OEQII in light of gender. A cluster random sampling technique was used to collect data from 448 males and females gifted students who are enrolled in the King Abdullah II Schools of Excellence in Jordan. Results of multi-group confirmatory factor analysis clearly indicate that measurement invariance with respect to gender is untenable. Uniform measurement bias was observed in all subscales. Results suggested that the Jordanian version of OEQII failed to display scalar invariance across gender which is a requirement to scores’ comparability. Initial analyses of fitting the model to the data for each subscale suggested that the theoretical common factor structure didn’t display a reasonable fit to the data for any subscale. Results suggested that the Jordanian version of OEQII failed initially to display configural invariance across gender. In light of the results, it is recommended that the mean-level comparisons of OEQII subscale scores across gender should be interpreted with caution. Moreover, re-validating and re- standardizing of the Jordanian version of OEQII was suggested to justify mean scores comparability on its subscales.

This article aims to examine the effect of outdoor education activities on student respect behavior. The research method used in this study was an experimental method using the Pretest-Posttest Two Experimental Group Design. This research was conducted in Padalarang State High School 2, West Bandung Regency with a total sample of 40 students, consisting of 15 women and 25 men who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' respect for behavior through outdoor education activities. This research is expected to be a solution for educators to overcome the problems of moral degradation that occur among the younger generation.
