The skills to be developed by a university teacher currently extend beyond instruction, trying to achieve a significant improvement in the quality of the student‘s teaching-learning process.
From our teaching experience over several years and after assessing the concept of good teaching that you have from different fields, a number of generic competencies that we consider essential training for all teachers who do not have a high level of performance can be highlighted.
Among these competencies, we can highlight the interpersonal, communicational, methodological, and technological, emphasizing the assessment capacity, given the importance of a competency-based training and its evaluation competency in this educational context.
It’s not easy to find experts to provide a significant training for university teachers in each of these competencies. We found some very experienced teachers who put into practice some of these skills but we need specialists in the field for the other skills, sometimes outside of education.

Abstract. Currently the aeronautical industry demand human resource that is highly competitive with excellent abilities, skills and job skills that allow the growth of this industry in Mexico. UANL offers the educational program in Aeronautical Engineering and because is a program designed under the new competency-based education model, it is necessary to measure the employability of students working under this new teaching-learning process, such as is achieved and even provide feedback to continually improve any area of opportunity in the transition of students during their training. This research presents a cause-effect model where independent variables are considered classified generic competencies: instrumentals, social interaction and integrative, and the dependent variable initial workforce readiness. Todefine the variables, objectives and hypotheses we did an analysis of competency-based international models. Variables were operationalized to design and determine the reliability of the measuring instrument performing the content validity with 12 experts on the competency model. To test the hypothesis of educational program were selected 103 students usingPhase I, II and III as field study. Phase I is an assessment of students, Phase II is an evaluation with teachers and Phase III is the opinion of employers. Finally, we present the results of analysis of the direct influence of generic skills: instrumentals, social interaction and integrative and professional-labor performance work called initial workforce readiness. Keywords: employability, generic competencies, initial workforce readinessResumen.

Preventive confinement against COVID-19 changed the teaching-learning process of the Phytopathology course at the Faculty of Agronomy of the UCR. Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) were integrated into a program called ‘Phytopathology 2020, at the distance but together’. Each student received at her home a box of materials, including culture media and a paper microscope, that allowed her to set up and carry out different phytopathological techniques. The result obtained exceeded expectations and previous results in 16 years of teaching experience. The integration of the family into the educational project was surprising, fostering values of mutual commitment in education and prevention of COVID-19.

Abstract The evolution of teaching is currently considered a very important task, both from an institutional and a moral viewpoint. The evaluation of such a domain, and its conduct, has been reported by several research studies in the literature. “Who? What? How? Drawing from which references? Which clues? Should the people assessed take part in the process? To what extent should the results be publicized?” (Demailly, 2001). For that reason, we will first draw some guidelines for the evaluation of teaching and try to define its possible objectives. Three main domains may be contemplated: teachers’ activity (teaching), the learning process (learning), and the effects of the teaching/learning process. These draw upon an enquiry carried out in three different faculties by our research team. This study is related to the VOLUBILIS project "Moroccan and European students: a comparative approach”, which aims to identify the challenges and expectations of Moroccan students. The purpose of this research is to indicate how students at Hassan II University of Casablanca judge the quality of their studies. We will be able to show that an evaluation of courses by students is both possible and profitable. As a matter of fact, this enquiry has brought up valuable information about higher education pedagogy that concerns the three fields mentioned earlier, and it also offer some suggestions to generate improvements. Keywords: evaluation, teaching, students, quality, higher education, ACP.

The fact that today’s students are mostly equipped with high level of digital literacy encourages English teachers to use the Internet as one of the teaching learning media. Moreover,, the abundance of online materials for EFL students which are easily accessible makes the teachers’ job much easier. However, these advantages do not come alone without any drawbacks that challenge the teachers in implementing effective online teaching-learning activities for the class and get the most of it. This paper highlights the challenges that the teachers face in implementing online learning for general English class during the short semester program and reveals students’ perceptions on it as part of the reflection on the teaching-learning process. The unique characteristic of this program which is run only for one month requires the teacher creatively seeking effective activities for the class in order to meet the program requirement. The class shows that the students’ performance during the online learning is better compared to the offline class. The students become more active as well as enthusiastically involved in posting thread and giving feedback to their classmates’ thread. Although during the process the students show interest in joining the online discussion, the teacher still have difficulty in finding the strategy to measure the effectiveness of this mode of learning. The reflective writing written by the students identify some issues which mostly deal with their impressions in joining the online learning as well as their difficulties in performing during the teaching learning process. Some students even give suggestions for better improvement in the next application of online learning.

Keywords: online learning, teacher’s reflection, students’ perception, students’ performance.
