Globalization is something we cannot avoid, and it impacts on all fronts, both positive and negative impacts. Globalization can also be a challenge for all, consequently, it requires a smart strategy to face the challenges of globalization. One of them is Pesantren. Pesantren with their classic characteristics must have a strategy to adapt to today’s guidance so that it able to maintain the existence, survive and be accepted by an increasingly advanced society. One of the pesantren that is aware of this is the API ASRI Islamic boarding school in the city of Magelang, this salaf-style pesantren has proven to be able to compete with other Islamic boarding schools, although it has only been established for about 13 years, but it has become the reference boarding school throughout Indonesia. This has attracted research attention to find out what the challenges of globalization are facing the API ASRI Islamic boarding school and how the strategy of the API ASRI Islamic boarding school in facing the challenges of globalization. This research is a case study research, using a qualitative descriptive approach. In this study, researchers used several techniques and data collection instruments, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Techniques to check the validity of the data used in this study. The result of this study is that the biggest challenge faced by API ASRI Islamic boarding school is sophistication and promiscuity. Both of these are challenges of globalization that make Islamic boarding schools prepare themselves for this. Furthermore, the strategy used is through the formation of the character of the students and the formation of skills of the students. In terms of character building through the existence of Pesantren organizations and activities including the recitation, congregational prayer and mujahadah. And in terms of skill formation includes establishing formal schools and the existence of extracurricular activities which include English, tambourine and calligraphy.

<em>Financing is one of the keys to implementing an education. One source of funding sourced from the government is the School Operational Assistance (BOS) program. The purpose of this study was to: (1) describe the distribution of BOS funds in the education of Islamic boarding schools in the Ministry of Religion Office in Malang Regency, (2) explain the supervision of BOS funding in Islamic boarding school education, (3) describe the implications of BOS funding in improving quality Islamic boarding school education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study research. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is analyzed by reducing relevant data, describing and drawing conclusions. The results showed that, (1) the distribution of funding for BOS funds in the education of Islamic boarding schools in the Malang Ministry of Religion Office was carried out in accordance with the flow, (2) supervision of BOS funding in improving the quality of Islamic boarding school education was carried out according to the time of disbursement at the time of reporting of BOS funds, namely by direct and indirect supervision, (3) Implications of BOS funds in improving the education quality of Islamic boarding schools, namely: improving student achievement and learning outcomes and increasing teacher welfare.</em>

<p class="ABSTRACT"><span lang="EN">This study discusses the development of extracurricular activities in Arabic at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, Paiton-Probolinggo, which includes: 1) Types of activities, 2) Planning activities, 3) Implementation of activities, and 4) Evaluating activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The qualitative data in this study included extracurricular activities in Arabic. The data sources of this research are the core management and students in the LPBA. The instrument is the researcher himself (human instrument). Data collection was obtained through the results of distributing questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed a number of things, namely (1) twelve extracurricular activities attended by students at ula and wushta levels with the hope that students often get used to listening to hiwar or Arabic conversations from native Arabs, and can apply them in daily conversations. day (2) Planning activities consist of student organizations, curriculum, schedule arrangements, activity themes, and regulations, (3) This activity is carried out every night after teaching and learning activities (KBM) and Friday from morning to evening, and (4) Evaluation of this activity is carried out once a month with the aim of finding solutions to problems experienced by students.</span></p>

In addition to the book base, memorization of the Qur'an is also the main base of various Islamic boarding schools in this archipelago. With techniques and methods that have been widely used, one of the typical traditions of rote evaluation carried out by the An-Nur Ngrukem Islamic boarding school is the memorization ranking test. In practice, the memorize ranking tests have various dynamics experienced by female students. This article explains how the dynamics of female students encounter memorized ranking test related to the study of Quran living at the An-Nur Ngrukem Islamic Boarding School. The case study research that forms the basis of this paper, proves the existence of internal and external factors in the dynamics of female students in the face of memorization ranking tests. Among them, internal factors; puberty, mental readiness, tenacity and memorization, and patience. While external factors; need some tips from dzuriyyah and administrators, the strict requirements and conditions of the test, the increasing number of students at the An-Nur Ngrukem Islamic Boarding School and need to manage the time.

This study presents the transformation of the kiai's leadership in forming regeneration and developing Islamic boarding schools in Al Ummah Islamic Boarding School Sukabumi. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research, which focuses on the leadership portrait of the kiai, the mechanisms and steps for the operationalization of leadership, and the process of changing leadership. Data collection was carried out in 2018 by interviewing kiai, kiai families, students and community leaders. The results showed that the portrait of kiai leadership at Pesantren Al Ummah Sukabumi is oriented towards a democratic leadership style, which is the operationalization mechanism for the transformation of private ownership into institutional property, curriculum development, and infrastructure development. This is based on the replacement of kiai who have died, replaced by kiai families who have a holistic orientation and understanding in developing future pesantren. Recommendations from the results of this study are the importance of developing Islamic boarding schools which are not only oriented towards religious development, but also fostering students to have skills that will become their life provisions in the future.

<div><p><em>This study aims to describe the marketing management of Al-Fadlliyah Islamic boarding school. Marketing at this pesantren focuses on a cooperative approach and community service, so that not only the pesantren cottage benefits, but the community also benefits from the activity.</em> <em>This research method uses qualitative research with case study research type. Data collection techniques used are: interview, observation and documentation. The results show that: 1) the marketing management process at this boarding school is through 4 stages, namely: planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating; 2) Implications of marketing management of Islamic boarding schools, namely: a) Islamic boarding schools have a good image in the community, b) an increase in the number of students, especially from regions originating from locations where PPM is conducted.</em></p></div>

Penelitia ini bertujuan untuk menelaah seberapa besar efektifitas peranan manajamen pendidikan dipondok pesantren Al Hikamussalafiyyah wanayasa cipulus dalam upaya untuk  menangkal paham radikal negatif terhadap santri – santri. Dalam penelitian ini manajemen pondok pesantren wanayasa telah menerapkan  kurikulum yang  jauh dari paham radikalisme dan dari hasil kuesioner dan wawancara yang di bagikan kepada para santri  menhghasilkan 99% persen bahwa santri tidak ada yang memeiliki paham  radikal negatif  tersebut.  Objek penelitian santri – santri di pondok pesantren Al Fatih Wanayasa, Ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode yang digunakan yaitu studi kasus, dengan pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, catatan lapangan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini peneliti berharap agar dapat memberikan kontribusi dan manfaat bagi semua pihak-pihak yang terkait, terutama pihak pemerintah daerah dan pondok pesantren dalam rangka menangkal paham radikalisme terhadap diri santri. Kata Kunci : Manajemen Pesantren, Paham Radikal Negatif This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the role of education management in the boarding school Al Hikamussalafiyyah wanayasa cipulus in an effort to ward off negative radical understanding of the students. In this research, the management of Islamic boarding schools in Wanaayasa has implemented a curriculum that is far from radicalism and from the results of questionnaires and interviews distributed to the students resulted in 99% percent that no one has the negative radical understanding. The object of research of students in Al Fatih Wanayasa boarding school, this is a qualitative descriptive study with the method used is a case study, by collecting data through observation, field notes, interviews and documentation. From the results of this study the researchers hope to be able to contribute and benefit to all parties concerned, especially the local government and Islamic boarding schools in order to counteract the radicalism against students. The modern Pabelan Islamic boarding school has received awards in relation to community welfare development including the international Aga Khan Award and the Kalpataru Environment national award. The noble values ​​in the pesantren culture that are to be implanted in the Pabelan modern Islamic boarding school require further exploration so that the strengthening of character education (PPK) based on the culture of the pesantren has various alternatives according to the specifics of each, especially those related to the process of cultivating social values ​​in extra-curricular activities. The case study research in a qualitative approach concludes that the internalization of social values ​​in Panca Jiwa, the motto of the boarding school and its educational orientation has been evident in the culture of Pesantren in extracurricular activities of trilingual speech and scouting with active participation of all parties in the pesantren and clear rules and regulations. hence strengthening the interaction between the community and the pesantren is needed by actively involving the community in extracurricular activities as a whole. Collective and individual initial guidance for new santri on societal values ​​also has a positive impact on the internalization of the pesantren culture for each Pabelan Pesantren student on an ongoing basis.

The theme of religious moderation is increasingly important to study in line with the emergence of anxiety about strengthening intolerant, extremist, and radicalism-terrorism movements in several educational institutions in Indonesia. This research aims to examine the actualization of religious moderation values (read: Islamic moderation) of teachers at SMP Aisyiyah Boarding School and SMP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Malang. Therefore, this research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. Methods of data collection are carrying out through observation, in-dept interview, and documentation of the two research locus. At the same time, the data analysis used the interactive Miles-Huberman model. This results showed that teachers' religious moderation actualizes in two ways. First, the pathway formal-curriculum through the learning planning tools which are explicitly stated in the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), as well as through extracurricular activities guided by teachers to students, namely scouts and student council; Second, is the pathways hidden-curriculum manifested in a pattern of habituation from teachers to students through an organizational culture that is run in schools, especially in the aspect of shared basic assumptions from the students

Penelitian  ini bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  perw ujudan nasionalisme  pada capas (calon   Paskibra)   yang   aktif   mengikuti   ekstrakurikuler   Paskibra.   Pendekatan penelitian  menggunakan  deskriptif  kualitatif  dengan jenis penelitian  studi kasus. Teknik    pengumpulan    data   menggunakan    teknik    dokumentasi,   observasi, w aw ancara, dan focus grup discussion. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman terdiri dari: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahw a perw ujudan sikap menjaga persatuan yang dimiliki  oleh  sisw a  yang  mengikuti  ekstrakurikuler  paskibra adalah:  menjaga kerukunan  dalam  berteman,  mengutamakan  kepentingan bersama,  menerapkan sikap saling menghargai, menerapkan sikap kerja sama tanpa membeda-bedakan suku dan agama, serta menjalin solidaritas dalam kelompok, kemudian perw ujudan sikap menghargai prestasi yang dimiliki oleh capas antara lain: berlatih keras untuk menjadi pemenang  dalam berbagai kegiatan di sekolah , menghargai kerja keras kepala  sekolah,  guru,  teman,  dan  semua yang  ada dalam  lingkungan  sekolah, menghargai temuan, ide, dan gagasan yang telah dihasilkan, memajang tanda-tanda penghargaan  dan prestasi,  memberikan penghargaan  atau hasil prestasi  kepada w arga sekolah. AbstractThis study aims to determine the embodiment of nationalism in capas (Paskibra candidates)  w ho  actively  participate  in  Paskibra  extracurricular.  The  research approach uses qualitative descriptive through case study research type. Data collection techniques used are documentation,  observation, interview , and focus group  discussion.  Data  analysis  techniques  used  is  the  Miles  and  Huberman models consisting of: data reduction, data presentation, and draw ing conclusions. The results of the study show ed the realization of attitude of maintaining unity by students   w ho   take   part   in  extracurricular   activities.   They  are:  maintaining friendship  in  friends,  prioritizing  common  interests,  applying  mutual  respect, applying cooperation w ithout discriminating betw een ethnicities and religions, and establishing  solidarity in groups. The attitude of embodying the achievements of capas  are:  practicing   hard   to  be  a  w inner  in  various  activities  at  scho ol, appreciating the hard w ork of the principal, teacher, friends, and all people in the school environment, appreciating the findings and ideas that have been generated, displaying   signs   of   appreciation   and   achievement,   and   giving   aw ards   or achievements to school.Keywords: Nationalism, Paskibra Extracurricular

Use of social media creates positive or negative impacts on adolescents. There are a number of factors enabling adolescents to make use of social media positively. One of the factors studied in this research is the adolescent worldview. The adolescent worldview greatly determines the way she behaves and her attitude towards social media. The result of this research shows that adolescent worldview may release and enables her to reject negative impacts of social media, particularly from modern cultural -isms as relativism, individualism, emotionalism, presentism (present-time ism), materialism, autonomy, victimism, and turn it into a positive impact on herself. Worldviews may be differentiated based on three categories namely religion, spirituality and secularity. This research is conducted by explorative-qualitative approach, using case study research method. Data collection was conducted by in-depth interview with late adolescents.
