This paper analyzes the control system of the combustion process and protection from explosions in the boiler furnace of thermal power plant using the techniques of control charts. The data from old and newly introduced system for measuring under-pressure differences in boiler furnace at unit B2, TE Nikola Tesla (TENT) Obrenovac, were analyzed. The signal of undepressure difference is used for boiler protection function in thermal power plant TENT B. The results that confirm the advantages of the newly introduced system of measurements are presented. A detailed discussion about the benefits and the shortcomings of the control charts application in industrial processes are given in the paper.

In a thermal power plant combustion process in the boilers plays a vital role and it has to be controlled effectively. At present, this is controlled using draft fans employed with DCS. This paper deals with the controlling process using Fuzzy logic. The goal of this task is to manage the Forced draft fan, Secondary air fan, Grid refining fan and induced draft fan in the boiler. Every one of these fans assume a significant job in controlling the temperature of the boiler during the burning (combustion) procedure. Utilizing DCS to control the temperature is mind-boggling expense and furthermore it needs a different server, a processor and a workstation to complete the procedure. In the case of software based Fuzzy logic controller, the controlling process is the cheapest and the easiest method to maintain and control

Engineering based on basic principle of combustion process ,associated thermodynamics,& basic engineering principles involved in optimization of heat rate and in-house auxiliary consumption as energy input (i.e. coal consumption & in-house auxiliary consumption).Strong theme behind this paper is actual implementation of academic knowledge with practical working experience in thermal power plant .whole paper is associated with reduction of coal, electrical energy input spent on in-house auxiliaries which ultimately reduces greenhouse emission & helps to maintain environment by upgrading knowledge & working experience of Engineer working with TPP.
