Abstract Currently composite manufacturing process, such as linear friction welding plus NC machining, is the main method for the manufacturing and repairing of complex parts with integrated structure. Due to different datum position and inevitable distortion from different processes, it is important to ensure sufficient machining allowance for complex parts during the NC machining process. In this paper, a workpiece localization approach for machining allowance optimization of complex parts based on CMM inspection is developed. This technique concerns an alignment process to ensure sufficient stock allowance for the single parts as well as the whole integrated parts. The mathematical model of the constrained alignment is firstly established, and then the symmetric block solution strategy is proposed to solve the optimization model. Experiment result shows that the approach is appropriate and feasible to distribute the machining allowance for the single and whole parts for adaptive machining of complex parts. In this paper, the system architecture Integrated with cutting parameters database and process case database was proposed. Windows-based NC machining process query system was developed by using VB combined with access database, the system has turned the NC processing handbook into electronic handbook, at the same time, many real product process experiences was integrated in it, which effectively solved Electronic management of the NC machining process parameters and query. The employee can quickly accumulate experience by using the system and enrich their process acknowledge.

Machining error of a NC machining system is a kind of comprehensive error in dynamically machining process; especially it is of errors with non-linear characteristics. In this paper, we will set up a kind of model of comprehensive errors analysis for a NC machining system and present an error compensation for high-precision a NC machining system by a dynamic feedback neural network embedded in a NC machine tool. The results obtained shows that this approach can effectively improve compensation precision and real time of error compensation on machine tools.

This paper proposes the Gaussian Curvature by analyzing the free surface of the blade surface curvature, which is based on the Gaussian Curvature parameter mapping method to study the Gaussian curvature of free surface NC machining process interference. We introduce the conception of curvature to analyze the curvature and optimize the cutting parameter and cutting tool parameter to avoid interference phenomena happening and improve the processing efficiency and precision. Take the ball end cutter for example to process simulation, it shows that through the analysis of the free surface curvature method to avoid the intervention process is feasible, and has been verified by the experiment.

Use the process of dashboard on the solid high-tech 3D numerical control platform of NC machining process as an example, Using UG to establish the machine and parts model, the tool path have been optimized by VERICUT .As a result, enhances the processing speed, shortening the processing time, improve the cutting efficiency, reducing processing cost and making the process has been optimized .Finally, Reliability and optimization results are verified through numerical control platform instance.
